Needed an insulated and waterproof jacket for a trip to Scotland and, having read other positive reviews of this coat, purchased it from Amazon at an excellent price.The fit is superb and with an adjustable hem, and elasticated wrists, it means the chill winds were kept at bay.The elastic cords which tighten the hem terminate in the two side pockets and can sometimes be a little annoying if you are carrying items in here or, if you just have your hands in your pockets,The hood rolls up and stores away in the collar where it doesn't appear to be too bulky. Lovely coat. delivery was good and they were very helpful with the instructions I had, the coat was well packaged and in brand new condition. I have been after a North Face coat for a while but had always been put off by the price. When I saw this coat for £80 I was very quick to order. I use the coat for everyday use, going out walking and also working outside.The coat is very warm for such a thin and lightweight material. It is fully waterproof and has 2 large pockets, perfect for phone, keys, wallet etc... The hood is perfect and folds away neatly. I would recommend this coat and buying it from amazon, It is much cheaper than going to the high street.

Light to Medium weight. Good for in and out the car without feeling to bulky. Sizing and cut is good. Very warm for the thickness of this jacket. Comfortable. Would be good for commuting. One sore spot is that for the money £105 why oh why is there not at least one internal pocked for a phone or wallet. The description stated a Left napoleon chest pocket but it does NOT have one. The description is wrong. I have messaged the company that sold it and would hope that they alter this quickly.

Brilliant coat for the money.Already used, lightweight and great protection from rain, warm enough, but it's never going to protect from severe cold on its own, bit of common sense and quality warm clothing underneath and it'll do the job right tho'. I would prefer if it was a little longer in the body if I was being ultra picky, but also love that it folds up neatly into my medium sized rucksack.VERY happy with it tho, definitely does the job for which I purchased it for.

A really good jacket, then again it is a north face. I bought this for my husband for Christmas. He has a summer jacket that just was not thick enough for winter walks at the beach. This has a insulated inside, that is still very eat to clean, great fit for the size and a good sized hood that covers the hole head and even some of your face depending on how taught you have it. would highly recommend for anyone that like to walk in the winter with wind and rain

I absolutely love this jacket. It is true to size so my XL is a nice outer shell. Plenty of room for an additional mid layer. The light insulation is perfect for the cold rainy days here in Holland. It's not warm enough for the real winter though. But that's why I have winter jackets. It's great in the fall and spring when a simple windbreaker doesn't suffice. I have a feeling I'll be wearing this more often than the winter jackets.

This is a quality jacket as you would expect from North Face.It very lightweight and the size fits just perfect!I believe this is great for spring and autumn chilly days.Don't think it will keep you warm during the winter.My biggest complaint about the jacket is that it has only two pockets.There is no inside pocket.If this does not bother you, you will be very pleased with jacket!

The coat itself is fine (i.e water/wind proof and insulative). However, the description of the coat states that it features a removable hood and a breast pocket; of which it possesses neither, not that these feature are overly important to me (i just feel that the product description should be accurate). Nevertheless, a high quality coat at a relatively low price.

Great for the £32 I paid for it. Good quality light jacket warm enough through winter use. Wouldn't want to pay much more for it though. Amazon and their other sellers have it for as much as £139.69 - come on guys, get serious. Also North Face are becoming a bit too popular akin to Burberry baseball caps from a few years ago.

I wear this to work most mornings. It's a perfect 'medium' weight jacket. It's not to hot to wear on the London Underground and it keeps you warm in December. One lapse is there are no vents beneath the arms, if you go for a long walk you will probably have to un-zip at some point to let your body breathe.

I love this coat. This is the 2nd i have purchased as my brother asked me to get him one, that's a great recommendation in itself when you return to buy the same coat twice! I also own a Helly Hansen coat which is so much heavier than this one yet they offer the same great protection against the elements.

Jacket is surprisingly warm for something quite thin - not like the old bubble coats. Only issue is it was ordered for my son as a mans jacket, yet I've just noticed it fastens on the opposite side, which is for ladies. Reading one or two other comments on here, it's not the first one either

Just received the jacket. Quality seems OK, not a good fit for under Zero degrees or skiing, but good as a rain coat. I bought a size above as some people recommended, I'm 6ft but Large was too large for me. That's why I have to return it. I suggest you order your exact size.

Perfectly balanced in terms of the weight and warmth. Was a bit skeptic although at first as I imagined it would be more of a windbreaker but it’s the perfect jacket for mid season weather. Great for UK climate and weather changes in Autumn & Spring. Great price point also.
