I never quite know whether all of the glowing recommendations for products like this come from over eager employees / shareholders / family members / friends - of those trying to sell the product. I am 32, work in marketing (not skincare!) so know only too well that sometimes products like this may have a slightly overated level of success!I have had severe razor burn over the last few years and have tried quite a lot of different solutions to try and fix it - Aloe Gel, Zinc Creams blah blah blah. I purchased Tend Skin recently and have already noticed a really significant benefit (in the space of a few days it has cleared up almost completely). Though, I have to say,I have significantly changed my shaving routine and it appears to have.....well...pretty much resolved the problem altogether. So I guess I can attribute some of this to Tend Skin - but I also think the rest of what I have changed has been pretty helpful.Heres what I have done;1. Thrown away my latest and greatest gillete 4 blade cartridge razor2. Replaced it with a traditional 1 blade Merkur 34c razor3. Learnt how to use it (look on YouTube for "safety razor" and watch the "how to" videos4. Bought an ALUM BLOCK - which is wet and applied to the skin after shaving which sterilises the skin5. Used a decent shaving cream - the traditional kind applied with a badger hair brush6. Once the skin is dry post shaving - apply tendskin (I have also applied at night)7. Use a wet hot face towel to ensure the face is very hot before shaving8. Use the same COLD face towel after shaving (but before the ALUM block and tendskin)This might sound like a real pain - however I can assure you that it hasnt been taking me much longer to shave and the results have been, frankly, astounding. The safety razor is really easy to use, so don't be put off. The only real trick is shaving in the direction of the hair growth AND not applying any pressure on the razor head (use the weight of the razor). Also, once you go over each area gently - reapply lather and gently repeat to ensure a close shave.When you do some research on the Safety razor, you will find out that because it is a single blade it cuts SLIGHTLY above the skin. Mach 3's or equivalent pull the hair up and cut slightly UNDER the skin - making ingrown hairs and razor burn much more likely. Also - the replacement blades are HUGELY cheaper then the equivalent Gillette cartridges. Worth checking out some of the online forums about shaving with a Safety Razor if your interested.Anyway, hope this is helpful. I know this COMBINATION has resolved my razor burn / ingrown hair issues - and I am very pleased with the results. Good luck.

I have always had problems with razor bumps and soreness after shaving my 'lady parts' and have tried many different razors, including electric lady shavers, to try and reduce this problem. I ended up just using electric lady shavers as this worked out best for me but wouldn't give as close a shave as a normal razor and still would leave little bumps. I would apply moisturiser morning and night but still no luck.I decided to look for products that target this specific problem - but I was sceptical that anything would really help. When I saw Tend Skin Ingrown Hair Solution, the first thing I noticed was how many good reviews it had. So, I decided to take a chance and buy it - and I am so glad I did!This product is a miracle for me.I never thought I could shave without getting ugly redness and bumps. I used to be so embarrassed when wearing a bikini as you could see little red bumps along where my leg joins up to my body - it looked horrible. But now I can use a normal razor and have no problems with bumps or soreness! My skin now looks clear and smooth after shaving. I had my doubts that this would work but it surpassed my expectations by far!I will say this though, if you apply this product straight after shaving, it stings a bit in places you might have nicked your skin. And I do still have to take some care when shaving in such a delicate area - I can't just go mad with the razor and expect this product to leave my skin completely clear (although it does still do a very good job). So do still take care when shaving and this product will keep your skin looking smooth.Definitely recommend you try this product if you have any razor bump/ rash problems.

I am a 27 year old guy been using an electric shaver since i was 16 and only in the last 4 months have got ingrown hairs! It was sooo frustrating after soo long going without them to start getting them on the side of my chin and neck.I did some research and read about MiN NewYork which did an ok job but didnt really help the ingrowing hairs. it mainly reduced the redness as it has asprin in it.Then i went to the doctors got some antibiotics which did clear the majority of them up....but they still returned. I did some further research as i was getting frustrated as i couldnt shave without getting small spots, razor bumps, ingrowing hairs and redness.i even thought about growing a beard.I cam across Tend Skin about a month back placed my order and hoped for the best. i have been using it now for about 3 weeks and i am amazed by the impact this stuff has!! i applied the solution to the bad areas on my neck and chin which did sting abit but it subsides quickly. There is no horrible smell and as it dries quickly you cant notice it. After about 48 hours the redness had gone and within 4 days the bumps etc had all faded or dried up.It does leave the skin dry espcially on the areas where the redness etc is but that soon peels off andleaves healthy skin. i guess dont use too much as like i said it is strong stuff but effective.My approach now is to shave, exfoliate, use tend skin and also the last bit of my MiN NewYork stuff in the morning and night. it is most effective straight aftershaving.Thanks for reading.Nick

I don't usually write reviews but I had to for this product as I've been struggling for awhile to find a product that shows results.For the past 6 months I've had a serious issue with ingrowing hairs and I did the regrettable mistake of trying to pick them out with tweezers when they were deep in the skin which has left me with a few terrible scars on my legs.I have used two different products before discovering Tend Skin and didn't see any improvement. I'm very impatient when it comes to seeing improvements which is a bad trait of mine but even after a month I didn't see an improvement to be happy about.. until I purchased Tend Skin.After about two weeks of using Tend Skin I can already see improvements,some of the hair has been lifted which makes it easier for me to pull the out which has saved me from getting more scars!Also, I've always had an issue with razor bumps which leaves red dots all over my legs after shaving instead of having the 'soft look'. I've tried exfoliating, moisturising and even using conditioner on my legs instead of shaving cream to try and get rid of it, but nothing has worked. I rub Tend Skin onto my legs with a cotton ball after shaving which stings a little but after awhile the red dots slowly disappear and after checking about an hour later the skin looks softer and clearer!This product may react differently to others, but I would certainly recommend this product!

Money well spent!I suffer from ingrown hairs on my legs, even though I am having laser treatment on my pins I still suffer from them.Anyway after getting an outbreak on my thighs I was desperate for the blemishes to clear up and avoid any scarring and after using this product twice daily I noticed a MASSIVE improvement and a week later the blemishes are barely visible.The product is very good only dis advantage is the smellWill be ordering again!UPDATE JULY 2011I am now ordering my 3rd bottle, and I have to say this product is an absolute God send!The blemishes on my thighs have now healed with minimum scarring and my skin [touch wood!] is looking fantastic,but I do still occasioanlly get the odd blemish and after using this product its soon zapped away.The only thing though with the product is the smell and the smell itself sticks to clothing, so I would recommend wearing loose clothing after application.For best results I would advise applying 2-3 times a day for maximum effectAs previosuly mentionedI used to suffer from TERRIBLE ingrown hairs all over my legs, and after exfoliating with a loofah sponge and under going laser treatment and using Tend Skin my skin is looking amazing, I used to feel very down and avoid wearing short dresses and skirts and now I am flaunting my skin for the first time in years.I hope this can be of any help to anyone suffering from nuisance ingrowns!

I like to review things before i buy them and i did just that with this product. i kept in mind that we all absorb things into our bodies differently so was prepared if it did not work. although this is for ingrown hairs etc..... i had flaking skin, that i used to pick every day, which eventually became scabs which in turn produced sores under my chin, i know that the ingredient salicylic acid is great for sloughing off the dead skin, so i used it, and within 3 days, my face is the smoothest its been in years, it did not make my skin dry as some other products have done, but this could be because i moisturised 15 minutes after applying.i had a few ingrown hairs too and this also has improved the hairs seem to be easier to get hence not digging into the skin and creating sores. the smell is not that bad, its a little strong but in nothing to write home about.I applied a generous amount to a ball of cotton wool Morning and evening, there was a mild stinging sensation but quickly disappeared. i feel so much more confident(being a female and all) and its not even been a week yet, i am stocking up i honestly cant believe i have found a product that is reasonable in price and worked wonders its been about 6 years since my face felt the way it does today. thank you TEND SKIN.

I have been using this product for 7 years after it was introduced to me by an American relative.Previously I suffered from very bad shaving bumps caused by in growing hairs, but no more.I am of West Indian origin and I use the product twice a day, once in the morning and once at night and shave every 2 days (by choice). If I go for more than 2 days without shaving I apply the product 3 times during the day, and it keeps me bump and pain free throughout the period of not shaving.Some people have said it does not remove a layer of skin, but trust me it does I have actually seen it many many times,I can only suggest that to actually see this taking place would depend on your skin type as over the years mine has become less dry and the actual peeling effect less noticeable but it continues to deliver fantastic results for me.I have found I get the best results by really rubbing it in with the first application, then dabbing with a second one leaving it wet to air dry, once dry you can apply your moisturiser as normal (for those of you that use one)Like I said for me it truly is the best product I have ever used for stopping in growing hairs and for me it's worth every penny!

Bought this for my husband he has tried so many differant products that claim to stop ingrown hairs and none of them work so wasn't really expecting much from this. After all I have heard all the claims before. But I couldn't believe this product really does everything it claims and he started to see the effects within a few days. You have to follow the instructions and use it twice a day and he found that when he didn't use it so religiously he started to find the ingrown hairs returning. Also yes it does smell chemically as Tend Skin do not use any perfumes but the smell wears off in a few minutes. I would also recomend that you buy this along with the 'Air Shave Gel'for reduction of nicks that are one of the causes of ingrown hairs and also just for the most amazingly close shave that leaves your skin feeling so soft.After seeing the great results my husband was getting I stole it as I read that is you use this product before waxing or elipidation it reduces the redness and eases hair removal. I have seen a marked improvment in both redness afterwards and a reduction in the amount of hairs that snap, something that was always a problem for me.

TLDR; if ingrown hairs are ruining your skin, this is the product for you26, Male.So, I was monsterously spotty on my back and chest and both are heavily scarred from years of this. I never shave either due to crazy ingrown hairs (and thus, spots) and have been clippering the hair to REDUCE my ingrown hair problem. I have incredibly oily skin, sweat profusely most of the day and shower twice a day using anti dandruff shampoo to strip the oil (as shower gel doesn’t cut it). My skin actually flared up at first when I used this product and I thought, here we go... but within 3 days my skin was astonishingly clearer and now, 2 weeks down the line, I’m not even conscious of my spotty.No painful boil type bastardos on my back, nada! I use this product in concurrence with Amlactin daily moisturiser and I shall use these probably forever. The skin on my back and chest is still scarred but I’d say my actual spot coverage has reduced by about 90%. It also unearthed some ungodly ingrown hairs I didn’t even know I had that were around 2cm long coiled up under my skin. My partner is also astounded at how clear my skin has become after using this product.

If you are a black guy or someone with very curly hair then most likely you have had to deal with severe shaving bumps when shaving your face. The medical term is called Pseudofolliculitis barbae. For years I have suffered with this problem. It has taken me years of research to come up with a working regimen.Without Tend Skin I am guaranteed to break out with bumps. This product is truly amazing! It significantly decreases the likelihood that you will break out with bumps or a rash after shaving. I have been using this product for over a year now and I have found it to prevent at least 95% of bumps. This is huge when you consider that I used to have a complete breakout every time and I was unable to shave again until it cleared.Now there are hardly any bumps at all and none if I use the correct routine.The secret is to shave ONLY with the grain and use a safety razor or straight. Then apply the Tend Skin afterwards. Shaving daily also significantly decreases the likelihood that you will break out with bumps. This is now an essential part of my shaving regimen.

First disappointment was that I bought the smallest bottle and not the biggest, which is what I'll be buying next time! Second disappoinment was that I'd never heard of this product sooner - wish I'd bought it years ago! I have used on shaved and epilated areas on bikini line and underarm areas and it seems to, almost immediately, get rid of bumps, rash and irritated skin. It doesn't sting, calms the skin immediately, doesn't smell bad and doesn't make my skin peel. I feel so much better in a bikini now (although I could feel even better if I lost some weight - it's just such a shame that Tend Skin can't be the wonder cure for that too!!).Think I'll have to use for a longer spell to make sure it fully resolves issues with any ingrowing hairs (which for me was not the main reason I bought this product) but I was so thrilled with a smoother looking bikini line that I had to give it 5 stars for that alone! Yes it's pricey to buy (and to send to Spain where I live) but I still think it's worth it and so am I!!

I was quite sceptical in buying products that claim to give instant results, and at around £10, it's expensive if it doesn't work (as I have dark coarse hair) but with the amount of positive reviews, I decided to give it a go.I always get a shaving rash after doing the bikini line which is too sore to re-shave for almost a week and is very unsightly. I'm going on holiday and didn't fancy having this rash for all to see whilst wearing my bikini.I have been using Tend for just over a week, one or twice daily and I am amazed at the results! The shaving rash is COMPLETELY gone and there is no soreness. I can now shave more frequently which will be good on holiday.The amount of ingrown hairs has also reduced.It stings like hell when applying just after shaving but this quickly subsides. I cannot recommend this product enough! My partner also uses it on his face when shaving and has also got great results!Give this a try! You'll never be without it once you've seen what it can do!

Ok if your reading this review then you might be thinking "is it worth the money and does it work". I can tell you that i have tried and still use The Tend Skin solution. I checked out all the reviews before i did and i found them super helpful and decided to try it. If you have red bumps and ingrown hairs. This works amazingly to get rid of them and stops itching too. I tried it AS SOON as i got it and literally within a day there was Extreme improvement. I have been using it for about a week now once in the morning and once at night at first and then just daily when i shave, i (no word of a lie) don't have any ingrown hairs now and the problem is almost entirely gone, This is providing i stick to useing it!I would highly recommend it to anyone who is having a problem! My philosophy was "what am i gonna loose by trying it?"I would however say that if you are going to use this product make sure that you use a good moisturiser after applying it to avoid dry skin. x

I saw this product on Buzzfeed one day and was quite amazed by the reviews it had and, especially, the incredible before/after pictures people posted.As someone who has had ingrown hairs on legs and arms all of her life, I've tried nearly everything to try to get rid of them. This product, I promise you, will work on the first try.I followed the advice that some other reviewers had written and I also bought a scrub brush (you can find special ones for this on Amazon) along with it. I used a cotton pad to smear the product on the affected area and proceeded to gently scrub it with the brush for about 2 minutes per area. A couple of hours later I was amazed to see that about 40/50% of the ingrown hairs,pimples and redish areas had disappeared.I've now used the product 3 times and I am amazed with the results, I can only imagine my skin will be flawless after a couple more uses. Would definitly recommend!

I have been shaving and waxing the more intimate parts of my body for sport namely long distance running and mountain biking due to severe chaffing. The irritation and distraction from chaffing during an endurance event is far greater than having to worry about unsightly ingrown hairs and bumps which as we all know can get pretty messy and unsightly. I have tried many products from moisturisers, solutions exfoliating scrubs etc to stop the ingrown hairs which I seemed to be pretty susceptible to though I find that Tend Skin is perfect. Applied for the first couple of days after shaving or waxing (even though it stings like hell) the bumps do not occur and I am blemish free.All skin types are different and I cant speak for others but this is a great product and works well for my needs. Note, it took a few months of treatment and a routine application with Tend Skin for all the blemishes to disappear.
