This is smaller than our previous toaster but our bread fits in just as well and the slots are actually wider so it can accommodate thicker items comfortably; not something as thick as scones but crumpets and teacakes are fine as the slot is about 1 inch wide.I like that this toaster has a defrost setting as we’ve started freezing breaded items like bagels to extend the shelf life and the toaster just makes it easier to prepare these items without extra fuss. The cancel button is useful to manually stop toasting at any moment and have the toast pop back up.We’ve not experienced any issues with the actual toasting,

I didnt have a toaster and have not owned one for many years, not sure why, so i was thrilled to get this to test. However i dont have anything recent to compare it too.It is a lovely rippled black, it fits really well in my Caribbean themed kitchen where i have tropical colours of orange, white, green, red and yellow. It is a smallish footprint and does not take much space up on the worktop and sits easily put away in a cupboard or length ways on a shelf.You need to burn the elements in before use, this only takes a few minutes but it does leave quite a pungent smell in the kitchen so i would actually advise doing it a few times and not on a day you will need it to cook the toast.I buy Aldi

This is a lovely looking toaster available in white, grey and black. This is the first toaster that I've had that accommodates full slices of bread and actually toasts evenly and quickly. There are several functions such as defrost and reheat (good one if you like your toast warm). The browning dial is easy to turn and the presser easy to operate.(I've been going through toasters like nobody's business, I've used three and broken three in the past six month so I have put this one through just as much use as my previous ones and so far it has met all my expectations and more. I like the design so much that I have bought the kettle to go with it and now have a lovely combination.)The only downside with this toaster is the length of the cable,

I have heard of Swan and know that they have a reputation for good quality products but have never before owned one. This 2 slice toaster is in the symphony range and is coloured black. The gloss and matt lines twisting round the body give it a lovely look. There is a matching kettle which I am luck enough to have. The toaster is tall enough to take 2 slices standing up and the slots wide enough to take teacakes and possibly bagels. There are reheat and defrost functions plus a stop button. There is a dial and 1 to 7 stages, we have used only 3 and 4 at the moment. There is an easiiy removed crumb tray. It seems to sit neatly on my worktop and I am very pleased with it

Swan are a long established brand of kitchenware which is generally regarded as a value for money mid range items of good quality. This well priced toaster continues that theme. Attractive black housing and deep enough to swallow two average size rounds of bread, the easy to use controls makes perfect toast every time.Funnily enough, I recently bought a cheap toaster from Curry's and the toast compartments were so small that the top of the bread was left sticking out of the top and not properly toasted.Thankfully, this Swan toaster doesn't suffer from that problem and delivers what you would expect of a toaster.

This is a really attractive toaster with the mix of gloss and matt black making it really stylish. It has reheat and defrost buttons as well as 7 browning setting and of course it has the high lift so that you can lift the toast to check it is done and also it makes it easier to remove the toast when it is ready. It's not got the deepest slots, so that larger slices of bread stick out of the top somewhat and need turning, which can be a bit frustrating, but it's not the first toaster I have had with this issue. Overall, this is a pretty good toaster.

Design wise this toaster is very sleek and modern and fits nicely in a black and white kitchen . In comparison to my old toaster it does seem to make the toast a lot quicker and hasn’t yet given me any burnt toast unlike my other toaster which had a high setting I couldn’t turn down . Overall I’m very happy with this product and it does what it’s meant to do adequately.

A very stylish toaster and reliable too with all the features you would expect, however, as others have pointed out before, it is frustrating that the slice holes are so short. It's annoying to have to be around to turn the bread in the toaster. it's not an isolated issue with this one, but they do seem to be smaller than in the one we have in our office.

This is a nice looking toaster and does the job you want - it toasts bread well and consistently.As with every toaster it could be a touch deeper to have larger slices be fully within the toaster however I have found that even the part of the bread that wasnt within the toaster was sufficiently toasted to not be a real issue.

This is a smart and attractive looking toaster. It does not take up much room on our work tops. The toast comes out as well as one would expect. It takes bagels well. It has have a defrost function which I have not used yet. The crumb tray is easy to remove and empty. All in all a toaster that I find 100% fit for purpose.

This fine little toaster is great for the Warburton's Danish sliced bread we buy, and it toasts crumpets nicely but does not lift them high enough to make for easy extraction. I must point out that it does not accommodate what I will call full-sized slices; their tops poke out. For that reason I can't give it five stars

I love the sophisticated style of this black toaster, combing gloss and matt together gives it real style.The first time I used it with frozen sliced bread and it came out perfectly.Simple to use and easy to keep clean - what more could you ask for,

A really beautiful toaster, takes large slices, and is gorgeous to look at, I got the white one, and my kitchen looks bigger, also got the kettle. Looks really posh, I love it.

Nice little toaster although you can't fit a slice in normally you have to stand it up. Looks better in pics but still OK for what I need it for.

Like this product very much. Looks stylish, easy to use and clean. Defrost and warming function are fantastic.
