I must admit, I took a bit of a punt buying this game, as you may well know, this game has struggled to get much more than 6/10 anywhere.Maybe it's because I haven't played the wii version, but I am struggling to put it down, sure, it's very linear, the story leaves much to be believed, and the trade in your pokemon for evolved versions is a bit peculiar, but it does entertain.Let's start with the graphics. Yes, they look basic, but I'm beginning to think this was on purpose, seems to me like the game was meant to be kept simple and fun to play. It's all there though, just... Toy style. The 3D is good too, unlike some recent releases. 7/10Onto the sound. It's all there, good soundtrack, attacks sound good, and it's all good quality. 9/10Now, the gameplay. Here's where Rumble falls down a bit, the standard gameplay is just wander round, mash a / b and hope you don't faint, there's a "boss" so to speak, in each level, some quite a bit harder than others. Then there's the other modes, some I like, some I'm not sure on. The tag battle was a good idea, but I'm not too sure on the hyper mode system. Then there's the charge battle mode, this just seems like content filler to me, it's really not the defining point of the game at all.Battle Royale however, I do like, it's just 90 seconds of wind up mayhem. 7.5 / 10Next, the multiplayer: This is where Rumble falls down big time. The co-op is pretty good, but you can't progress through the story with a friend, and the only way to battle is to use streetpass, which of course, means more AI. There also isn't any trading, which may make "catching them all" quite hard work. 3.5 / 10Now I'm going to touch on the game itself, it's generally pretty good, again, not sure about the evolution system, because you could have 1 of 7 (or 49, depending on how you do it) with a massive power score, but the evolution system seems to take the average, so, if the other 6 to 48 have bad scores you could (and probably will) wind up with a pokemon who's power rating is actually lower. That said, you do get the benefit of higher attack and defence ratings. If you're looking for something to fill the gap between Pokemon B/W and the long anticipated 3rd instalment to generation 5, this could well be for you. It's a good game.Sadly, that also hinders it from becoming 5 stars in my view; its "a good game", whilst rumble does (almost) everything it sets out to well, there's nothing there that I can honestly say is revolutionary and amazing. If you're a pokemon fan, you'll probably enjoy this game, if you're new to the series, it may not float your boat, and you may well be better off pretty much every other 3DS game on the market.7.0/10, enjoyable, but probably needed a little more time in development to be a 5 star game. Definitely better than most reviewers would have you believe however, and certainly worth renting, if not a purchase.

This was my third 3DS title that I have purchased, and needless to say as a huge fan of the Pokemon franchise I haven't been disappointed. Parents beware, if you are interested in buying this to keep your little precious(es) quiet you should know that this is not like the usual RPG (adventure) styley games that Pokemon is famous for e.g. Black and White/Heart Gold and Soul Silver; this is a light-hearted cutesy spin-off game in which you play as toy Pokemon which involves a lot of A and B button mashing and less strategy than the traditionals. The best thing that I have found about this game is how long it is! Having clocked up nearly 100 hours of gameplay, I still haven't befriended (caught)all of the Pokemon in the game; as Super Pokemon Rumble/Pokemon Rumble Blast features all of the Pokemon including the few that have different formes up until Black and White 1. However, this longetivity may not be the case for younger players (or people that aren't Pokemon-Catching-Perfectionists such as myself, est. 2000), as they may become bored with the repetitiveness of having to go through the same levels again and again due to the fact that the ability of "befriending" other toy Pokemon appears to be at random, or the success of a random hit that makes them dizzy. In short, if you or your children are a huge Pokemon fan and/or the thought of the seriousness of Skyrim turns your stomach then this light but fun game may be for you! :).

To say that I was pleasantly surprised is a small understatement. I was, in all honesty, expecting to return this game, but it's simple appeal has me hooked. It's sort of implied that you're some kid who collects wind-up pokemon toys - but you only ever seem to walk around as whichever toy is chosen to be first in your party. You proceed in a fairly linear fashion through levels where different types of wind-up Pokemon toys will come and attack you. You must hammer the A button until they are all dead. Sometimes you will be rewarded with a new wind up toy of the breed that you just demolished, sometimes not. The random nature of which toys can be collected means that levels get replayed,so you can collect 'em all.I had been reading FAR too much into the meaning of this game. The reason it seemed so simple on the outside was because frankly, it's simple on the inside as well. This is a good old fashioned frenzied button-bashing game, and it keeps it simple with a maximum of two buttons that can be assigned to your toy. The idea is to cause as much destruction as possible, then at the end of each little level you are rewarded with some wholly unexpected drum and bass. Oh yeah, probably forgot to mention the thrash metal introduction too. If you purchase this game, do yourself a favour and have your first game with the volume turned right up - the music is excellent!(Read the rest at [...] )

I really enjoy the game, it is very different from the standard style being more of an arcade game. some of the basic knowledge that i learned from watching the cartoons and playing the other pokemon games was useful at times but mainly just because i knew about the strengths and weaknesses of the various different types (which it is easy to find on-line) and from recognising the names of the attacks which meant that i knew what they did but for more patient players they do explain the attacks if the new pokemon befriended after each level.overall this is a great little game that can be played for short or long periods at a time (though be careful using 3D for too long)it is engaging and allows you to develop your skills at your own pace (though it is very useful to read the info and hints it gives you carefully especially as at times it is not easy to access them again.I would recommend this game to everyone as a must have stress reliever and general wind down tool

A frantic beat em up game done from top down perspective involving a large quantity of different pokemon to battle and catch. In this world pokemon are more like wound up mechanical toys and once you have defeated them you can collect them and make them part of your fighting selection. When I first played this i went straight in and started pounding everything i saw, only to die fairly quickly and to learn that this game is much more detailed than you would first expect. This meant that i had to time my attacks and know which move to use in which situation. Also in its favourite is the soundtrack, alot of the battle themes are up to pokemon standard and really help the big fight feel of the boss stages in particular.I did have a few problems though, the story is wafer thin but with this being a pokemon game im not too bothered by that. Also scrolling through pokemon can be a little bit irritaing at times but on the whole this is a really addictive game and fun to play!!

This game is stunning. The 3D graphics make this game better and the storyline about it is superb. The gameplay and the graphics are stunning. I really recommend getting this game. I'm 10 years old and I really needed a game for my 3DS console and this game was just the right one. But this game can get addictive so don't play for too long or else your hands will be glued to your console! I've had great experiences with this game and it is very fun to play. Only one thing is disappointing about this game. The storyline is slightly short, after finished and beat the storyline then you can't really do anything. But other than that the storyline is really fun and a joy to play with.I highly recommend this game as it is probably the best game I've ever played. It is an amazing game.

The Pokemon Rumble series is one of my favourites.I bought the original wii version expecting a few hours of fun and was instantly addicted. The smashing and collecting is such a classic game mechanic, but so enjoyable.Refreshing, relaxing and fun. This game is a more polished version with the same fun smash/collect mechanic and some more thrown in.A basic storyline and some great graphics, more levels, more challenges and more opportunities to play with friends.Plus you can still search for those illusive shiny pokemon, which is always a bonus.

This is a welcome addition to the Pokemon franchise. It is similar to the Mystery Dungeon series, but in my opinion it is a lot better. You go through levels where you fight Pokemon that spawn in a melee battle using up to two different moves for each Pokemon and occasionally you can befriend a better levelled Pokemon. Certain levels also offer a variety in the mode such as three player (2 of them CPU) and a tapping battle where you press a button as fast as you can.

This game is quite addictive you go to different locations to collect your Pokemon ready to take to the main battle in each stage. You can upgrade your Pokemon and you get various strength Pokemon. The game play is good but stays the same throughout there is a street pass mode but I haven't come across anyone else with it active. In summary a good addictive game but it is short and it doesn't have much replay value. Rent it otherwise it's £30 for a few days fun.

Love playing this! Cannot get enough! Highly addicting though. I have played the majority of Pokemon games I can say this is very different but the same as well with the traditional adventure style but this time your a toy, wind up POKEMON!

My grandson is absolutely delighted with this as a gift. He has played with it every day since Dec 25th. I was happy that it could be bought from US and delivered to an address in UK. Thank you for making it so easy to make him this happy.

Bit of a spin on the pokemon we know. But a great straight forward game and enjoyable. Basically collect as many pokemon as u can, as strong as u can then battle in the arena. No real brain work needed just straight forward fun.
