Excellent design only let down by the poor final testing as all 4 of mine didn’t fully open unless severely forced repeatedly. After some general use they now seem fine. Just obviously need some quality control before final packaging as it seems cheaper version worked better straight out the packaging. I can understand 1 being a bit defective but all 4 that I bought were much the same. Once over this small annoyance these are not bad if a little heavy and expensive. Overkill for most jobs but a upgrade from the majority

Paid £31, which after searching turned out the best price for a compound set, at this level.For my needs for DIY they are fine, my hands aren't as strong as they use to be so these really come in handy if i need extra hold or cutting thicker wire ect ect, and that's exactly why i bought them, they are a little stiff at first, and the finish could be better, but they work just fine.So it's 5/5 as i really can't knock them.**Note to Stan > not a gripe but! Yes i would pay a little extra if the finish was better!**

Got these at £30, and they're excellent. I rate Stanley's FatMax stuff highly, and these fit in with the rest of that line. The compound action makes a massive difference, and they get certain jobs done so much more easily than regular pliers - my 4 year old loves helping out at the DIY and using these he can pull out carpet staples that would be a hassle for me with regular pliers.For anyone with grip problems, I'd definitely consider these.

Replacing worn tools in box, these came the best from physical inspections in B&Q and Wicks. They want you to buy their own brand stuff and I wasnt impressed.Again in the large plastic clam casing, not sure why when its tools but... feel very solid in your hand and longer reach then the ones replacing. Nice addtion to tools and happy with themVery stiff at the moment, but I guess will work free

The extra leverage from the design is brilliant, and quality of them is great. Glad to replace the cheap nasty ones i bought years ago with something rhat makes day to day diy a pleasure. Toby woo

Very nice pliers, good grips and nice quality, but do watch out they dont open as wide as normal pliers due the the offset pin action, but due to this they are very powerful.

Worth paying a little more for theses tools with the extra grip they give you makes the job easy buy this set you will Not be Dissapointed Quality 100% happy .

Good leverage. I knew these can't be opened too wide but they can be operated wide enough for most jobs. These are essentials in every toolbox!

I had to return one set as the tip of the cutters broke after a few uses, which was very easy to do. The 2nd set i got have worked well so far.

Love these tools I’ve used them on various projects including using them to disconnect wires from a mirror in a shop display very clean cuts

The compound action means the pliers can be used like a hand held vice - if required. The side cutters are great, no effort 10 mm cable

Well designed set of tools.It allows you to do the job with minimal effort, so that no need to have stone crusher hands to do the job.

Needed reliable plier set and i think I have found ine. Wish it came in good storage box but thats not big deal, it works as expected!

Very well made. Compound lever system gives very powerful grip. Can be a little stiff. Needed oil to loosen them a bit.

Good solid set. Bought as a gift but recipient (a tradesman) is very impressed.
