Would have given 5 stars but for really stupid ultra-sticky "Stanley" label right across centre of what is supposed to be a clear lid - big feature is being able to easily see through the lid! Photo does not show this. Would have still been OK if label peeled off cleanly, but instead left loads of horribly sticky opaque glue that is a nightmare to remove. Much use of surgical spirit and elbow grease was needed, meths would also probably work. HOWEVER ...Everything else is excellent though. Possibly not durable enough for busy professional, but for DIYer like myself more than fine.Removable cups hugely better than dividers for me. Can pick out just the ones I want and take indoors to do a job.

A great addition tom my workshop. This box is or the very best in it's class.Very durable constuctionwaterproofDustproofCan be turned upside down without the contents leaving their respective compartments.Stackable, I have 5 of these and 2 of the deeper ones.Can be clipped together to make transport of several of these a doddle.I use one for screws one for fixings an electrical and plumbing fitttings units. I also have one for fly fishing and one for coarse fishing, they are great for flies hooks weights etc etc and being waterproof they are ideal.There are 2 designs of this item one with metal latches and a waterproof gasket, the other has plastic catches and is not waterproof, but slightly cheaper.

Very happy with my purchase.I got one of these for work, I'm an electrical control systems fitter so I'm constantly grabbing handfuls of nuts, bolts, washers and a multitude of connectors etc from our stored so having one of these to keep it all tidy is great.A lot larger than I anticipated but that's not a complaint obviously. The fact that the individual boxes can be lifted out saves having it open and vulnerable to accidental spillages if the whole thing was open is a neat feature and means I can put one of them right where I'm working instead of having to go back to the main box for stuff, very neat feature for me as I'm often stuck in a cabinet somewhere.It's survived me stepping on the edge of it already so it should last an age age,

Certainly one of the best organiser cases on the market. Poly-carbonate lid, metal hinge and latches. This is not a luxury case, but is well made and good value for money. The inserts and box itself have strategically placed reinforcements in the design, ribbing on corners etc so things do not feel flimsy. Cases, stack, lock and things stay in their compartments.MADE IN ISRAEL. So refreshing to see a case like this NOT made in China.The model ending 517 appears to be the one with metal latches and weatherproof seal, unlike the 519.I would like to have twice as many inserts of half the size personally,

There's not that much difference between the Stanley FatMax organiser and those from other brands. All of them do pretty much the same job... storing items and being robust. And this one is pretty good at doing what it is supposed to do. Its generally robust, the clear plastic lid does not easily scratch, the storage capacity is adequate for the size (other capacity organisers are available in the Fat Max and other ranges) and its easy to carry. My only gripe is that the lid does not quite sit true and requires a nudge to one side in order to engage the locking catches. It might just be a one-off rather than a design flaw though, as my larger organisers are just fine.

I struggled to find the difference between this Stanley FatMax 1-97-517 Shallow Pro Organiser and the Stanley FatMax 1-97-519 Shallow Pro Organiser. After ordering one of each, I can share the the results. They were both the same size.The 1-97-517 version comes with metal clips and a seal and why it is more expensive. You get what you pay for. If the organiser is not going to be used outside on a building site where water tight is essential. For your average DIY home dweller, save your money and but the 1-97-519 version.

This organiser supersedes my previous flimsier case which has now fallen apart. All screws and plugs are now organised by size/type and I look and feel like a proper tradesman.The removable compartments make life easier - one can simply move what one needs closer to the job.Accessories like this make diy a pleasant pastime rather than a chore and the robustness means I won’t need to reorganise for a while.Special shout out for the metal latches.

I bought two of these shallower versions to 'piggyback' (they slot and clip together). It saves space, you get more compartments and they are easy to carry. Probably all you need for the home DIYer. I have never been so organised. The boxes are robust and well designed. I love them. Recommended!

I ordered one of these to keep components in, and was so impressed I bought two more. The individual compartments come close to the lid which gives it some support so it is less likely to break and also means small parts will not migrate from compartment to compartment.

Excelent storage case,easy to configure to your needs and items stored remiain in their compartments when case moved. The case is also sealed against rain and water. Would be nice if the main label were easily removed or placed on the back.

These are great as you can remove the boxes that are inside unlike the other kind which have dividers in them. Really usefull when you are using small screws etc as you can get out the boxes you require at the time.

Got these for my van as will get knocked about, very good and keeps screws etc separated and sealed. Got the cheaper sortmaster for home which are good but not as sturdy and wouldn’t recommend for screws etc

For the price of these storage boxes you would have thought it was a copy of an original part but it's not. It is a quality original. Great value and great quality, which will stand up to everyday use.

Another good fat max product, well made and robust. Only down side I can see is the clips on the side, to clip the boxes together, are plastic - don't know how long plastic is going to last!

I cant attest to its waterproofness, as I have not yet left it in the rain, but I prefer the metal clasps anyway. Good bit of kit. Got a few of these now, no issues so far
