I needed a small tool box for the house, inside the house rather the garage where i have a tool chest or the loft where things seem to get hurled without much thought when they have to be tidied away.I picked this based on the brand, the size and price point plus the good reviews and also, aesthetically its nice to have a splash of yellow or any other colour in a world of tool box black. The Good* 16 inches is bigger than i thought, this is a very good sized box, not just length but also height, its a deep fill box, plenty of room.* The unit bar the steel latch is entirely made from tough plastic, this is the norm at this price point for tool boxes, not many have any steel parts.* The latch works just great, the handle sits nice and flush into the top lid recess, the tray also fits flush inside the box. I have had boxes with trays before that no matter what you did would always be one gust of wind away from capsizing into the tool box tossing all your gear around. This isnt the case with this box.* The pair of top compartments have a nice clip open push shut action, nothing fancy but the additional apportioned space is welcome for holding screws, spare blades, bits etc.* You can cram a lot into this box, it really is cavernous, all the essentials will fit in there and youll have room to do some rummaging rather than systematically remove everything to find what you were looking for isnt even in the box but has been left in a drawer somewhere. You can actually see before you start rummaging what you may be searching for, this is an overlooked feature of tool boxes!* I have around 5kg worth of tools in the box, its purely for DIY and sits in the bottom of my wardrobe for now and then use, it doesnt feel strained or on the brink of collapse when i am carrying by the handle, i would imagine it can hold a fair amount more weight if required. The Could Be Better* If there was one point to make this tool box better it would be the hinges. There is nothing wrong with the hinges, but they are also plastic. However, they dont appear to be flimsy or precariously fastened together, the same thick plastic that makes up the rest of the box is also evident here. More so the product listing and photographs will tell you it has plastic hinges, i cannot mark it down based on this, i dont expect they will fail so its not a big issue for me.Overall this is a brilliant medium sized DIY box, lots of space, nice features such as the metal latch and top lid compartments, i have actually perched on it and it took my weight, i wouldnt suggest turning it into a chair but its very possible.Highly Recommended!Five Stars.

To be honest I didn’t check the product details properly as already have a bigger one and thought a second would be great. And it seemed a price too good to miss, then it arrived in a rather small box and it is just half the size of the other, so do check this is what you are looking for!Having bought to carry car tools, the size would have been an issue but instead I’ve used to keep my cycle spares and associated tools in and being small it’s really handy so has turned out to be a very successful buy.For every day maintenance on bikes or small items it is brilliant, it’s strong and well made. For major diy or rebuilding engines, possibly less so!

I think this is an excellent tool box considering how low the price is.Firstly the latches to open the lid have a nice solid action and being metal they should last longer than the plastic latches on my old tool box.The tray inside is only half width so it has limited capacity but its adequate for my needs and leaves more space for cases or boxes inside (in my case a lot of drill and driver bits)The small compartments built into the lid are a useful size and again have secure closures. The handle is comfortable to hold too.Excellent value for money.I hope you find my review helpful.

I visit a relative on regular occasions to do odd diy projects for her. On numerous occasions I’d get there only to find that I’d left the most mundane tools at home which meant another wasted car journey.Problems were solved with this simple little toolbox which now holds, a hammer, screwdrivers, pliers, and several other handy items.I now only need to throw my workbench and electrical tools in the car to know that when i get to her house I can get whatever needs doing done.Stanley is a quality name at the cheaper end of diy trade and their products have never let me down.

This toolbox is handy to store a small selection of tools and small enough to keep in a cupboard in the house ready for those small DIY tasks that arise in the home. Big enough for screwdrivers, pipe pliers and other hand tools, it is not big enough for storing your full tool set though, just a selection of essential quick task tools. 2 handy compartments for storing small items like screws and fuses, I did remove the tray as i found i could keep more tools in the box and the tray was too small to serve any purpose for me,

Bought this to stash my various computer related tools and such.Fits a boxed network cable tester, medium iFixit screwdriver toolkit, RJ 45 cable stripper/crimper, additional basic cable stripper, small cable clippers, medium bag full of computer screws, bag of cable ties, Secret Lab chair tools, anti-static wrist strap & UK discharge wall socket, and a boxed tube of thermal paste. Plus a bunch of RJ45 connectors in the lid compartments.Could probably still get a couple other small items in there as well if I needed to.

I bought this to keep my bike tools tidy in the shed and it has done the job just fine. There's plenty of space, the top compartments are useful for spare screws and dustcaps, and it's absolutely sturdy enough for what I need.I would look for something beefier if you're going to be using this every day or storing anything really heavy inside, but if you just need somewhere for your "every now and then" DIY tools or something to tidy up your shed, this is perfect!

Bought two of these for a silly price during a promotion. They were to replace the ones I had stolen by some lovely people that move around a lot....!Really pleased. Strong, reliable and a good size. Great brand name.Only downside, they came in a huge box with a square mile of brown paper. No need Amazon, you could have just dropped them off as they were seeing they will be rolling around in the back of my van.Recommended.

I wanted to find a box that was sturdy enough to hold my paints, brushes and other art tools. Most of the art boxes were very flimsy plastic. I bought this toolbox and it is great. It two smaller compartment at the top that hold some smaller pens and rubbers. Inside is a tray which is ideal for my paintbrushes and pens. Plenty of room underneath for small/medium sized bottles of paints etc. Easy to carry. Would buy another one.

There are many molded plastic toolboxes out there for buyers to choose from. Almost every tool manufacturer and DIY store has one it seems. The quality and price is similar but the real advantage of buying thru Amazon is knowing the quality is there, price will be competitive and it will come to you in about two days, guaranteed! It's just one minor stress in your life Amazon has looked after for you

1.I have all of my tools get into it. have plenty of space when compare to other models.2.Really good size for the non professionals like me. its has 2 latch which will be difficult for the kids to open which is handy.3.little tray inside the box is handy to have few items there.i bought this on the sale for £10 which is really a good price. i will recommend it.

Ha ha, bought to use as a sewing box as it was half price compared to advertised sewing boxes. Adapted one of the storage compartments by cutting the divider out so I could fit needle packs in there. Already have Stanley tool boxes for tools and they are sturdy and reliable. My last sewing box disappointingly fell to pieces, no risk of that now.

Bought a couple of these for storing my home DIY tools all in one place, rather than in various old boxes and tubs.Perfect for the job, especially with the tool tray and compartments for little bits and bobs.Sturdy enough for occasional use and at this price even if they broke in a couple of years I would consider them good value.

This isn't the sturdiest or largest tool box, but for the price it's very good value. It'll easily hold most household tools, the internal tray and lid compartments are useful for keeping your screwdrivers separate from your screws. The poorly-moulded plastic hinges mean it sometimes takes a few tries to line up the lock properly.
