I write this review based on decades of experiences as a property owner and DIY er.The case is a very reasonable cost especially when compared to the high street and as I am a “prime member” prompt posting and delivery is included. There is no indication as to cost fo non prime members. The case meets the stated length. I saw nothing about height or width but ‘‘this case Is much bigger than I expected. It has the expected black and yellow colouring and is made from a heavy moulded plastic.Open the lid and there is a sectioned lift out tray in which bits and pieces could be organised such as boxes of dowels, wood plugs and screws along with small hand tools.Lots of room underneath which will handle an endless variety of whatever you wish obviously restricted by size. The hinging and snap catches are sturdy and overall the case will give many years of service if treated properly. The case is as I said sturdy. With a comfortable carrying handle bOverall, a good buy and storage solution at an affordable cost

This toolbox is one of the smallest ones I have. I keep my specialist tools in it i.e. special features and/or expensive. The box measures 11" internally, and has a strong metal hasp on the front. This is a much more secure way of fixing the lid than other types with plastic clips etc.The two yellow plastic flaps in the lid cover two small compartments each. These are ok for small items like screw bits etc. but you need to cut the plastic divides out to make a more useful single, bigger compartment under each yellow flap. A Dremel is perfect for doing this little mod. The two yellow flaps have reasonably good fixing points, but they are plastic clips that latch on too the main lid.I recommend this box for small tools and I use mine for my high quality circlip pliers and similar tools of this nature, which otherwise would get lost in the depths of a big tool bag.

Nice sturdy tool box for the money. Suitable for light tools. However, be pre warned the dimensions are perhaps a little misleading. They are correct but they are referring to the actual largest outside measurements. Probably quite obvious I know however, just wanted to make that clear for anyone else who may not be paying full attention and thinking carefully about it. There are no internal or usable space measurements on the description.Listed as. Length. 41.1 cm Width. 19.9cm.Some of the items i wanted to store in the tool box should have easily fit however, the actual internal dimensions are quite a lot smaller. The actual main compartment is 36cm long x 15cm wide. The tray is a bit wider but has a handle and compartments so you cannot put anything larger in that either.

A fantastic sturdy tool box that was exactly what i required! I chose this specific size to accomodate a variety of tools and equipment for my scuba diving club. With the two exterior compartments allowing easy access to smaller items ( I used this for cylinder inserts and O-rings, but would be ideal for screws) you can avoid the pain of searching your tool box for small items that have made their way to the bottom! The rugid handly and strong clip mean this box is definitely going to last. Lighter than a metal tool box without feeling cheap and brittle, overall i couldn't be happy with this product. I would advise to measure out the size before buying, 16inch was perfect for myself however take into account the purpose (e.g.what tools you're storying) when choosing size.

Have the big brother of this (16 inches) so had no doubt once I’d checked present options on Amazon. This box is compact but roomy enough for all my home electrical tool box including mini soldering set up. Transferring contents gave me opportunity to get rid of unnecessary odds and ends which had accumulated in my non-stanley previous box which I loved, but had a plastic latch and finally gave up after 20+ years.Always easy to spot with older eyes because of yellow, once filled not tooheavy as a metal one, also doesn’t hurt so much if you catch yourself with it in a tight space.Very good uality tough plastic, cheaper copy versions I suspect will become brittle over time = risk of major toolspillage.Very pleased.

It's a toolbox. You can put a fair number of tools in here, it's solidly built and it'll survive drops quite happily. The bottom of the toolbox is a couple of cm narrower than the full width so bear that in mind when purchasing - if you have particularly long tools to go in here, bear in mind there are larger widths if required.Clips and locks well, handle sturdy and can handle a good bit of weight. This is my third one of these that I've bought for folks, and if someone says "I really need a toolbox to put this crap in", I invariably point folks at one of these.

Feels solid, has 2 containers in lid for small components and screws, unfortunatly the space for these comes out of the space above the tray which means you'll be lucky to get more than a couple of small electricians screwdrivers in the tray if you want to shut the lid. The space below the tray isn't that big either. It would take my set of VDE screwdrivers and thats it, okay as an additional toolbox for an electrician, but you'll need a proper toolbox as well

Plastic toolbox for metal tools.Im a guitar tech so mine is full of special tools you would never figure out what they were for.(techs and luthiers)know the score, but we are a strange bunch and would never grass even for a new guitar tool.Lots of space in the main hole and handy compartments on nifty tray.up top.Eyewatering little yellow compartments on sides of lid hide small things you would never figure out.Nice solid plastic guaranteed to last a week.

Few reviews on here about the back hinges being a nuisance. It can be but also very very easy to clip back into place if it does fall off. It may be designed specifically for this reason (although I am no R&D engineer).Toolbox itself is very sturdy and nicely designed. Especially for the price paid. You do have A LOT of room under the first compartment and I have managed to fit my jigsaw, soldering iron etc inside.

PROS: Good, solid construction. Plenty of room in box for small to medium home maintenance tools.CONS: Not very much room in lid compartments for screws etc when compared with my previous (smaller) Stanley toolbox. Lid hinge on previous box limited travel to about 180 degrees, unlike this one which keeps travelling until it hits something, usually the back of the box, which is a little unsophisticated for Stanley.

Great awesome , brought for storing my Kitchen equipment and knives and brought a padlock for it so its safe , and when I'm not working i don't have other people using my equiptment and damaging it and it fits more knives in than any other knife kits available .... only downside is i need to buy knife covers now but thats my choice , and its still the best choice 1 :D very good quality for price aswell

Apart from the hinges, an excellent product. If the lid is folded over too far when opening, the hinges fail. I had to return one I got from Argos. They gave me a replacement, and I got round the difficulty by attaching two light metal chains inside the case and lid on both sides, so the lid won't open further than about 10 degrees past the vertical.I suggest Stanley modify this tool box accordingly.

I ordered this due to my current tool bag becoming worn, this is a great tool box, great size to hold everything you need, due to me being on the road I needed something which is durable and this certainly is, the top two compartments are very helpful great size for screws and bolts to be put in, overall a fantastic tool box and a great size. Delivery was prompt and well packaged.
