Although sold by Stanley, you may think its uses are only DIY-oriented. However, it is useful for anglers to store tackle, for electronic or computer components, or for the various bits and pieces involved in jewellery making. Some of the compartments are fixed, but a few inserts are provided that enable some of the larger compartments to be divided to provide a more varied capability. These can be used temporarily or as permanent fixtures, providing flexibilty in use. There are two locking methods; a pair of clips on the front edge that provide reasonably secure locking and a separate slide lock on the top that, when engaged, ensures that the lid will not open unless required. The lid appears to be quite tight against the internal dividers and, having used it for some quite small components, there is no evidence so far that they have moved between compartments when the box is carried.I have bought other, often self-branded cases of this type in the past from various DIY stores some of which were more expensive than this and smaller but far less content secure; things often move around even when the box is stored flat in a vehicle and I have had to use a thin sheet of plastic foam as an internal cover to limit that. This one seems to have been designed by someone who has had similar experiences and it is fit for purpose. Not cheap, but recommended.

My son is crazy about the Skylanders video game and needed somewhere to store the 30+ figures he has collected. After viewing the (horribly overpriced!!) official storage cases I came across a clip on YouTube where someone was using these particular cases instead. While obviously made with DIY in mind, they just happen to be a perfect fit for the Skylanders. The removable yellow dividers allow even the larger adventure pack pieces to be accommodated. I have found that three of these cases is sufficient to store the entire collection while still being cheaper than one official "tower" case that only holds eight figures (bargain!).The application of a few Skylanders stickers completes the job.The cases themselves are sturdily built and have a locking mechanism to prevent accidental spillage while carrying. The removable dividers are full height and so would prevent mixing of smaller contents (e.g. nuts, bolts, screws) while in transit. The transparent lid makes identification of contents simple. The bottom of each case has a lip which sits into the lid of the case below it, so allowing for secure stacking. An overall excellent storage solution for your bits and pieces... or Skylanders.P.S. I first went to B&Q to buy these but was frightened off as they were nearly twice the price Amazon are charging.

Though not a tradesman, I am a keen DIY enthusiast who is regularly asked by family members and friends to help out with many varied jobs around their homes.Since purchasing not just one but now two of these organisers, I am confident that I will always have with me the right type and size screw, rawl plug, pannel pin, nail, tap washer, fuse etc., to name just a few of the many assorted consumables along with drill bits, hex keys. bradawl, centre punch and a host of other small tools that are readily at hand when required. The robust semi transparent plastic top of this organiser not only allows me to see what is being stored, but ensures that all that is kept in it remains securely confined to its rightful compartment during transit. It is by no means a cheap purchase, though I do feel fairly priced considering the knocking about it has endured. This Stanley organiser fulfils all my expectations, unlike previous cheaper products I have purchased and then thrown away because they have become brittle, cracked and split making them no longer fit for purpose. Well recommended.

I bought a fair few of these in one go. They were delivered promptly and in good order. Thank you.The Stanley brand offers all sorts of organisers for screws & nails and bits & bobs, from the titchy Sortmaster 197483 to the Stanly Fatmax 'pro' range with its clever individual removable compartments. For the keen DIYer I reckon these ones I have just bought are just about perfect. Its baby brother is just too small for me, and the Fatmax range is much too pricey and I reckon is geared more towards the busy pro who carts these around everywhere. Each organiser is made from a durable-looking plastic, comes with a centre section of fixed compartments with 8 dividers to subdivide the remaining space as necessary. The dividers' fit in the available slots seems reassuringly sound, and the lid secures them in place and is held down with four plastic catches. The two side catches serve as ties if you want to stack these organisers, very handy, but I reckon a better solution would be a simple wooden storage unit, something like these I have found on the web (too much??):

I first saw this on Facebook when my friend's cousin thanked her husband for purchasing one of these to keep her loom bands in. I fancied one of these as well but before I reconsidered this item, I purchased two smaller and cheaper storage boxes with separate compartments from elsewhere and at first they were good for storing my loom band supplies (bands, hooks and S-clips) but they had no room for my loom board and the lids snapped of very easily. I went back to the drawing board and I told my mother about the Stanley Sortmaster so she proceeded with kindly purchasing me one from Amazon. When it arrived, I was very impressed because it was larger than I imagined and I could fit in not only my bands, hooks, S-clips and C-clips but also my loom boards (I have bought three more since), charms and beads. The box is also more durable than the flimsy little ones I had and it may be more expensive but it is well worth the price for what it is. Overall, an excellent way to store loom band supplies, craft supplies, nuts, bolts or whatever takes your fancy. 5/5.

I wanted a box to keep bulbs and fuses and car bits and bobs neatly in my SUV, I had purchased the larger version of this on 50% sale from Screw fix a couple of years ago for my daughter to keep her collection of toy accessories in. That model was too large but I was confident of the quality. This size best price I could find was on Amazon and it fit really well in my boot tidy (I have the draper version, which is the best I have tried and I have had a few now). The lid seals very well so items such as copper washers, blade fuses and cable ties all stay in the allotted compartment and with the moveable sections it is able to accommodate a wind up torch, my OBD vehicle error code checker and tyre pressure gauge.Or it could easily fit a hammer and pliers or other tool. The catch system is very sturdy, the organiser has never opened accidentally, yet it is not difficult to open when you need to. The larger version has a small vent in the lid, whilst the smaller organizer does not.

Once again a very good product by Stanley. This is a hobbyist/craft box rather than a heavy duty / back of the van type storage unit.Admittedly it won't stand up to large amounts of abuse and should not be used for nails, screws etc but is perfect for electronic components, sewing kit, first aid supplies or any softer consumables. The segments are easy to use and stay in place well and the clips are of a good enough quality that you can carry the case around with confidence that it won't fly open and spill your goodies!I bought this for my 10 year old son to store his Arduino components - more for my benefit than his admittedly as I am fed up of picking them up, and am very happy with the results so far.Considering get some more for the lego collection - ideal for all the little bits that go missing all the time!!

I now have about 8 of these boxes, to store a variety of screws, nails, rivets, bolts, washers, etc.Very flexible storage - the removeable and replaceable dividers allow you to arrange the storage to suit yourself, within limits obviously. Good sturdy construction. I was dubious about the ability to clip together 5 fully-loaded boxes and carry them around. However, as long as you ensure the clip is properly closed, then you are only limited by your own ability to lift the boxes - 5 boxes filled with screws, nails and so on packs a fair bit of weight, but i have yet to have them come unclipped while I am carrying them.Great for clipping together rawlplugs and screws, in separate boxes,so that you have everything you need, in one easy to carry package.

Excellent! I now have 2 of these for my nail supplies. The 10g glitter jars fit in on their sides nicely so i can see colours & mixes quickly and easily, dividers are removable for a supply of brushes (and there is 2 small grooves up the middle for wooden cuticle sticks!). the second one holds acrylic paint tubes, brushes, palettes and quill nicely, I can even get nail stamping plates and holders in there! They fix together for easy storage or mobility. I am thinking I should buy more as i can see the benifits of using it for foils as well.Stanley also do a tool box that has good dimensions for nail files, cuticle sticks and the height has clearance for polish bottles to stand up without damaging bottle or box, even 250ml pump dispensers fit!

I confess I wasn't expecting much when I ordered these, as I've gone through several cases similar to these in the past having purchased them from a major chain store. When they arrived I was pleasantly surprised. They're quite solid - very little flex on the main tray so virtually no slippage from the contents. The lid is secured at four points, two front and one on each side, keeping the lid securely on the box and preventing bowing from all but the heaviest of contents. The seperators for the compartments slot in easily and securely and can be adjusted at will without having to beat the box into submission first. Overall I'm extremely pleased with this purchase, and will be buying a few more later in the year.

For the money, it deserves four stars. However there is an irksome issues. The dividers lift out when you are retrieving small things like screws, I had to put sealant on the base on the divider to keep them in place and stop items spilling into another section by going under the divider. When closed, and the four tabs pressed home, it does keep the items in their placeThe central compartments are permanent (no dividers) the compartments are as deep as they are wide, about three inches, not ideal for chunky hands.Having said that, at £6 it is much cheaper than the removable compartment version, and this is the reason to purchase it.

6 deep fixed pockets/compartments and upto 9 more pockets around them. It is very deep and you can put a lot of items in. Not really sure about the 1024 combinations which is marketing but it is half configurable/customisable. The box has 4 points of locking, 2 on the lid and another two yellow buckles on the side.I brought 3 of them and they inter-lock quite well and you can carry them from one handle. See youtube videos but not these are almost 9cm deep compartments. Very useful, for the price I paid £5 which is comparable to the states it was worth it, would never pay more than a tenner for this.

Bought 3 of these "Stanley Stackable Organizers" to store some of my screws, nuts, bolts and other fasteners etc. I figured why not take a chance for almost £8 a piece. Stanley products have always been good to me and this one doesn't disapoint. The organizers had a good depth for storage and easy seperation tabs to pull out for my bigger coach screws. They stack well and stay closed when your moving them around. They seem very well uilt and could take some drops and bumps if needed. All in all Its a very nice addition to my garage. Looking to buy a couple more in the future! no regrets from buying!

I would have been happy to receive this as a tool box organiser for my screws, nails, plugs etc but I actually chose it to keep my jigsaw (puzzle, not tool) pieces in! Now I can go through them all and sort them and keep them in a permanent sort rather than just throw them all back into a bag when I haven't yet finished the puzzle but can't leave the pieces lying about. So, this would also make a good craft sorting box too. Anything that needs sorting actually. The moveable compartment bits are really handy too and you can make your compartments bigger or smaller. Definitely worth the money.

If you're anything like me, you tend to accumulate all the stray screws and fixings from building household furniture over the years. After chucking it in a couple of toolboxes for years, I decided 'no more' and picked up a couple of these boxes. They're big, and you can move the partitions around so that you can accomodate all the different sizes of screws, nails and other whatsits that you've been keeping unnecessarily for years ... just in a neater format. It's solid and durable, opens and closes firmly. Everything looks much neater now, and I can find the right screw when I need it.
