Bought as a lightweight pair of travel headphones for my wife and myself to wear during flights. Although a comparatively lower priced item the build quality is of a standard you'd expect from a company like Sony, they're well designed, lightweight and fold to save valuable space in your luggage.Sound quality is very good with crisp treble and full depth of bass. The noise cancelling is fairly effective reducing aircraft noise to a barely noticeable level, the headphones are comfortable to wear with well padded earpieces even for the duration of a longhaul flight. Battery life is excellent a single standard AAA battery lasts a good 72hrs of use and replacing them is an easy affair.

Positive:+ Surprisingly good sound: effortless bass, very nicely balanced easy-to-listen overall tonal space.+ Noise cancellation works fine in car and airplane. You can hear if someone talks to you.+ Light weight and comfortable to wear.- Sound quality is nothing special if the power is switched off (but really good when power on)- The construction feels a bit "toy-like". I tend to handle this set subconsciously very carefully in order not to break the set. Knowing Sony's passion for quality my concern is most likely unnecessary.- No automatic switch -off. The battery may drain if you forget to switch off.

These are the best noise cancelling headphones in this price range. Comfortable to wear for extended periods of time, very good sound quality and the noise cancellation feature is very effective most outside noise. I'm sure there're better NC headphones on the market that cost 4 to 5 what these ones cost. But st this price range these headphones are unbeatable.

These headphones are a joy to wear, I even sleep with them on listening to books. They fold up easily for storage. The sound cancelling works well as long as you keep a charged battery in it. Of course you will probably get a much better product for £300, but this is the bees knees for £20!!!

It has great sound quality with noise cancellation turned on.Noise cancelling feature is dealing with noise consisting of low frequencies, while vocal range is not cancelled too much, but it worth the price definitely.Comes with brand new Sony battery.

I didn't think noise cancelation was possible and I have Degree in Electronics and Digital Signal Processing. They us Darwinian filters (active) to achieve noise cancellation. I won't/cant go further because Darwin ian filters are the coup de Gras.

Good value and worked well on airplane, however the cover to gain access to the battery section is very flimsy and needs care when changing batteries as is not too robust and needs handling with care.

Brilliant purchase with good quality sound. It gives you the option to amplify the power by switching the battery power on which you can really feel the difference.

Affordable noise cancelling headphones for occational use. If I would need these more often I would buy a little better set. Good quality with reasonable price.

My bad for not realising the earphones are not over ear but as earphones they work well, great bluetooth connection with s good overall sound.

Used on a trip to Mexico and they made the journey a lot more enjoyable. Some background sound could be heard, but reduced it considerably.

Excellent sound but after a while they are uncomfortable on my ears as they don’t encase my whole ear like my old ones.

But the noise cancelling function is not good enough compared to other headphones I have tried.

Can be a bit fidderly when putting on and taking off and storing but ok for the price.
