This Adapter allows Sony E series mirrorless cameras to use A mount lenses. A mount lenses have been around since 1985 and from 2006 became known as Sony a mount. There are millions of 2nd hand a mount lenses out there costing very little and with the use of this adapter most can be used on Sony's E mount mirrorless cameras.I have been an a mount camera owner since 1985. I bought my 1st Sony E mount camera last week but by using this adapter I am using my older lenses from 1985.My later Sony lenses focus faster than the older a mount lenses but my new Sony a7 mk2 camera has given them a new lease of life.I highly recommend this adapter.
