I ordered this for my son for Viking Day at school and it was the most reasonably-priced for what's included - top, trousers and hat. The hat is made of fabric and fits well - it's not floppy at all and keeps its shape.I ordered size 7-9 and the top fits quite snugly: my son is 7 and quite skinny, so I'm not sure if this would fit an average sized 9 year old, although there is a bit of stretch in the material.I knew there was no axe included, but maybe the suppliers should remove this from the image as the kids get quite excited when you show them what you've ordered, expecting a weapon!

Great outfit but be warned, it doesn't come with the helmet. I didn't realise this and had to make a mad dash into town in the hope that I could get 'the most important part of the outfit' at a local shop. Thankfully the party shop in Cheltenham had 2 Viking helmets in stock - £4.99 so be sure to add this to the total when thinking about splashing out.

Took the advice of another reviewer and went up a size for my son -- got him the 10-12 when he would normally be a size 8. Great costume but definitely woukd have struggled in the smaller size (although to be fair he is a very tall boy -- just skinny).Overall, good VFM and an effective viking top / bottom -- accesories purchased separately!

Year 5 are studying the Vikings and I bought this for my son to wear for their launch day. It fits perfectly (although he is 9!). Thin, but it's hot atm so that's not a problem. He was very excited to wear it. He made his own helmet - for fun. The hat that came with the outfit fit snuggly..Overall, great outfit

Got this for yet another “learning” dress up day thing at school. This time for Viking’s. Needed a cheapish costume knowing it won’t be worn again and this fitted the bill. Would say order a larger size than needed as it wasn’t the biggest but wasn't an issue thankfully. Good price and half decent quality.

I bought this for my 9 year old sons Viking Day at school. It fit him well but I was disappointed that it was just the costume. I assumed the hat and hatchet came with it, so ended up spending several hours trying to find a hat. ( always read the description!!) other than that I was very pleased with it.

Ordered a M Age 7-9 and received a Large - it almost fit an adult! Had to re-order before returning wrong size as need for Viking Day at school - am out of pocket until I can return...thankfully, second time round, they sent the correct size. overall product itself is fine and will do the job.

Perfect for the Viking Day at school, the kids went into the nearby woods and learnt how to build dwellings from bits of tree branches. Very educational excersise made more fun by the wearing of authentic looking outfits. Cheaper than every other on the same site. Thank you!

Thank goodness for Amazon and everything you can buy. As a busy working mother, I dread costume days for my school boy son. This really made my life easier but my son was a little disapointed it didn't come with the axe.

Very speedy delivery.Nice costume for the money.Am glad I ordered size aged 10-12 yrs as my son is a skinny 8 year old and he hasnt got much room in it! He would not have fitted in the smaller size.

Excellent Value for money. My son looked like the best dressed Viking on his fancy dress day at school. Would recommendbuying along with the double headed skull axe to complete the outfit.

Brought this costume for my son for Saxon day at school and an upcoming Viking day. Perfect fit and the costume arrived in perfect condition, can't fault it and looks great on.

Its pictured with an axe but ours didn't come with one but as it was for school he wouldn't have been allowed it anyway. Very good quality and generous sizing.

Fits my 8 year old fine (purchased 7-9) but helmet is a bit cheap looking. Also doesn’t come with an axe despite photo. Does the job for Viking Day at school.
