Bought this for just under£9. Absolute bargain. Looks fantastic and my son was so pleased. The boots and trousers all in one is a brilliant idea and fits securely around the shoes to ensure it stays in place. My son is a very tall 5 year old... tallest in his year.. and the age 7-9 fit well heightwise but very baggy around the waist. I agree with other reviewers... the top is short but didnt look odd and wasnt a problem for me... because i went for a larger size the trousers started higher up than usual. Much better than the all stripe outfits which are zigzag at the hems and a little cheap looking. Im really pleased with this outfit. Thank You.

This is a great outfit if you are provided an actual Smiffys Fancy Dress Outfit. Unfortunately alot of sellers sell fake items poorly made by children in India and China.Check your item has a bag and Smiffys Cardboard insert.Check your item has a Smiffys tag inside.If in any doubt phone Smiffys helpline on 03303 338 005Or ask your seller to provide proof of purchase.Illegal Fancy dress items are funding criminals and are often unsafe as they haven't passed stringent fire safety regulations.

I brought this costume set for a 9-year old nephew's school dress-up day. Quality of the shirt and trousers were okay for the money paid. I would be reluctant to say it will last one wash but it was used just once. The stitching isn't the best and the cloth is somewhat thing (undergarments recommended) but it was presentable enough. I had to get an eye-patch to complete the set but overall he was very happy with the costume and that's all that matters really.

Brilliant value for money. Saw the bad reviews but it only needed to last my 5yr old for 1 party. He ran around in it like a loon and it's all still in one piece looking fab. The only down side is that the trousers are super long, but they can easily be hoiked up and the waist band folded round and voila. Think this is a super outfit for the money. Delivered earlier than quoted too which helped me out.

Very nicely made, and fit my 9 yr old perfectly, it went down well at school for fancy dress day, only two kids had this costume and one of them was my son.It would be best for your child to wear there own trousers underneath this costume as it is very thin, and in this cold weather they would freeze.Child can wear their own shoes, as the bottom part of the trousers cover up the shoes.

Brilliant item - and such a great price - my son looked a real treat in his costume and it's survivied three parties already which is a miracle ! He's 5 but on the big side so I bought the medium and it fits him well - I think they do come up a bit smaller than expected so I'm glad I went for the larger size.

I like the overall look of the outfit - however there seems an issue with the fit of the top and the bottoms- the top only just fits my 5 and half year old and is quite short in length whereas the trousers are extremely long and won't actually fit him for atleast another 2 years or so!

After looking at some other pirate costumes I went with this one. I can honestly say I was pleasantly surprised. I was a bit weiry about it but so glad I got it for my son. I got the 7,9 and it fit him brilliantly he's 5 and tall. Excellent fast delivery to. Very happy mom and boy.

Great pirate costume. Would say sizing comes up on the smaller side. Purchase age 7-9 for my 5 year old son, and fits perfectly.Durable material. No holes or damage to the costume after wearing to a party and school.Washes well too. No discolouration or bobbling.

My four year old son wears aged 5-6yrs clothes as he taller than average. I bought the medium size 5-7 thinking the small would be too small and wouldn't get much wear. Sleeves and legs are way too long for him. One for the dressing up box to be tried on next year!

My 5 year old loved it and it fit perfectly. However the buttons did fall off within round about the first hour!! It also got very dirty straight away and it's a bit of a pain not being able to put it in the washing machine. Overall it was good value though ,

My son wore to a party and it looked good. Cord at buttons came away after first wear - had 2 costumes and happened on both. Legs also quite long. However I was only looking for party wear - and he can still play dress up - and so for the price is good.

I bought this costume for my sons 5th bday party and he couldn't be more pleased with it. It looks a bit different than the over pirate costumes available and he wanted to be a "pirate captain" anyway so got this one as it's also very reasonably priced.

This arrived quickly. It's the perfect size for my tall 7year old and he loved it. It survived a whole day of adventure play on a school trip and seems really good quality. I have no doubt it will be a sought after handmedown for my youngest
