For the price, it's a 5 star product. You get a plastic wand that takes 2 batteries and lights up with a sound when you move it. Children 8 and under will love it. I will say that older children looking to play Harry Potter will probably want something different.I really need to mention fantastic customer service... our 6 yr old opened one for Christmas that didn't work (a piece was rattling around inside so we assume that's why). I contacted the seller with that info, got a reply that they were looking into it, and the NEXT DAY we got our replacement! Can't ask for better. 6 yr old is a happy Hogwarts student with her noisy light up wand and I'm a happy mama since it was handled so efficiently

Well, my nephew was turning 5 and I asked him what he wanted for his Birthday. He said the only thing he wanted was a Harry Potter Wand! After searching every toy store within a 30 mile radius with no luck I thought there is no way I can get him the wand! Finally the day before his party I thought to look on Amazon to see if by chance they had some. I found this wand and had it shipped overnight. The next day it arrived and at the party I was Super Aunt for the day! He loved it and it has held up great for about a month now! And he is rough on toys!

This was a great wand and really fun for the kids to play with. We used it as part of my son's Harry Potter costume for Halloween. (He won first prize wearing at a local costume contest). The wand worked great for about 2-3 months, during which the kids really put it to heavy use. Playing with it regularly during for play dates and evening dinner parties. Ultimately it broke apart. I'd still recommend it, since I'd say it held up pretty well for a while in steady use.

This wand is made of soft plastic, so I wouldn't say it's going to last forever, but so far, it's been a fun toy for our little wizard. It makes cool-zap magic sounds and the tip (about an inch long) lights up (all you have to do is wave it in the air, so it's motion sensitive). For this price, it's worth it even if it doesn't last for years.

Wand is perfect for my 5 and 6 year old grandsons. I was skeptical as many reviews said the wands did not work. I thought the same thing until I realized the directions for putting the batteries in were wrong. Once we reversed the batteries the wands began to work and should be a hit in their Easter Baskets!

I bought this wand to go with my son's Harry Potter Halloween costume. The price is great and it makes sounds and lights up. You would think this wand would cost a lot more. Thanks to Amazon for their lightening-fast shipping! We got it 2 days before Halloween even though we ordered it the week of.

This is more a costume accessory, as described than something that can be played with. The durability is less than ideal. While it looks rugged, the use is twitchy and we've done some percussive maintenance to keep it working. Looks pretty good though for a kid costume.

I purchased this item for a Halloween accessory for my 6 year old son; however, the Holiday is two months away. My son is running all over the house since the item has arrived casting spells. Mom is loving this item because my son is very happy with this product:)

It is a bigger circumference than I had imagined, and doesn't look like a realistic Harry Potter wand. It does make sounds and the tip lights up, which my son thought was neat. It sounds and lights are motion activated. Its a decent costume accessory and toy.

My nieces and nephews are big into HP right now. Can’t wait to see them open these for Christmas. Of note, batteries are not included but it was easy to open the packaging add the batteries and wrapBack up so that they can play with them right away.

A little cheaply made but my grandson is 8 and he didn't care. He loved dressing up as Harry Potrer. He looked adorable in his robe and all the accessories. He had fun and that's what mattered. Ours never did light up. Something not connected right.

I bought this for my 8 yr old son who loves to read the Harry Potter books. It is just a plastic wand that lights up and makes sounds and he loves it, to him it is as good as the real thing, (and if it breaks we are not out of lot of money.)

Bought this for Christmas for my 12yo who recently read the first Harry Potter book. She hasn't stopped playing with it all day! My only regret is not buying another one for my 8yo since she keeps wanting to play with it too.

It was exactly what I was looking for, It was inexpensive, It had 3 different sounds and thrilled the 2 small children I purchased them for. I was also extremely happy with the packaging and the fast delivery.

They lasted a good 8 months or so and while they were working the kids REALLY enjoyed them. By the time they stopped working, I was ready for it. They were fun for the kids, noisy for the parents. :o)
