review by account user's daughter Briannaas being a MEGA HP fan and a gryffindor I loved this when I got it before halloween, I love the hood and the buttons that clasp together exactly like the movie ones but the only complaints that I have is that I don't like the material, it feels nothing like the movie ones, it's flimsy and silky, the real robes are made of cotton and I am affraid it is going to staart fraying, yet I have worn it many many times and I will be wearing it to the WB tour and the wizarding world of Harry Potter soon and there hasn't been a single problem. Also the red material is only used on the hood instead of the whole inside of the robe like the movie ones which I was

Ordered on 24th September, it arrived on 25th! I struggled with the sizing guide and opted for 'Large'. After opening the package I'm relieved that it should fit my tall 10 year old adequately enough. Perhaps shorter than on the model, but I think we'll get away with it. My robe did have a Gryffindor badge on it, but no wand pocket as another review mentioned. I don't see this as an issue. The material is flimsy and the sewing isn't great, with wispy seams. However, considering this is a Harry Potter costume and carries the inevitable levy against such merchandise I'm happy. It's fit for purpose. One thing I will add, as the description didn't make it completely clear, only alluding to it with suggested add ons.

I wore this costume for my 21st birthday party - I'm 5ft 6 and while the Large cloak didn't reach all the way to the ground it still looked great. Good quality, comfortable and affordable. It's a shame that there's no tie included - you'll have to buy your own, and of course the uniform beneath it will need to be purchased separately too. There's also no wand, so with all of those accessories added in it can become quite a pricey costume.

Good - but nothing extra.Material and sewing details lacks the last bit ... endings not well made, and material a bit flimsy / too "cheap / ordinair".The clip-thing to hold the robe together in-front, isn't the best - a button or velcro would have been better.My wife is making the robe/costume "a 5-star" outfit - in order to make our daughter Hermione Granger.(adding shirt, tie, etc. is also a "must") ...

My daughter loves this, she's nearly 10 and around 135 to 140cm tall and its just about floor length on her. It's certainly not a Deluxe version of the robes, it is just a basic dressing up costume. Material is fairly thin but all sewing on it was fine. It was perfect for World Book day, and my daughter is so pleased with it she's planning on wearing it to the Harry Potter Studio Tour later in the year too.

Very thin and flimsy. The catch was even more flimsy and broke after about 10 minutes-I managed to put it back together and it worked as a catch to hold the two sides together at the front. It doesn't hold the two sides together as the illustration shows but it does the job as a dress-up robe. My 14 year old still liked it, so all good-hence the 4 stars. Quite expensive for quality of material.

Bought for Christmas 2011 for Harry Potter mad granddaughter who loves this robe. Worn to the Disney Harry Potter Experience, she had a marvellous time, lots of photos in robe with wand - something to treasure always. Robe a little on the long side for small granddaughter, so should have lots of playtimes with it before outgrown.Lots of Brownie points for Granny for this gift!

Reasonable quality but material quite thin. Clasp is separate and attaches at both sides. It looks nice and works well. Other than the clasp at the top, the robe is open at the front so you can see their 'gryffindor uniform' underneath. Size wise My daughter is a small 9 year old and this is floor length on her. Looks fantastic with the tie and shirt- as good as the picture!

My niece was over the moon with this gift! I bought the largest size as she is tall, but the cloak is designed so that it will be long on all younger children and three quarters length on older or taller children without looking like it is small. It is quite thin material wise but is lasting well through a great deal of use. Highly recommend.

Very happy with the product...as described and delivered super speedy in time for my Daughters Birthday!! People on here complaining about the quality???....its perfect for kids who love dressing up!!? And for the money you cannot moan!! It is what it is!! Worth the money...in my local party shop this is double the price! !

Nice little harry potter robe! My son's 4 and I ordered a medium in size, it's a little long on yne body but nothing a little stich won't help. Fits perfectly on the arms! It comes with a little clip to close it together and has a badge. My son loves it.Would buy again,thanks!

Good quality costume at a very fair price.. Clasp that joins the two side of cloak together not all that, but I got two large black buttons instead and sewed them on and used a piece of black material to hold together. Fitted my daughter age 9 with room for growth.

It looks ok but the material is thin and the costume not very well sewn. I know it is not expensive but still could be nicer for the price. My 8 year old was happy with it but don't expect too much. The clip isn't attached at all, so easy to loose.

.. the clasp is a mess, or better to say closing the cape only with the clasp is nearly immpossible, it remains widly open... We added a fixing pin, so it works.... For the look and the quality of the cape I can't complain, everything fine!

My daughter was thrilled with this costume and has worn it frequently, both over Hallowe'en and since. The quality is quite good, and she certainly looked the part. I feel it was good value, and will be enjoyed for some time to come
