I bought this for my son who is in the extension bedroom (which is not fully insulated as my husband has not yet finished - that's a whole other story!). Having never used one before, I wasn't expecting much but WOW! This is fantastic! It has 3 heat settings, the highest being hot hot hot! 10 minutes on that setting and my son is ready for sleep! We haven't tried leaving it on yet but I will be buying a timer so we can use it throughout the night (we turn it off when the bed is warm) - we haven't used the ties yet (they go under the mattress to secure it - and maybe in future I will buy one that fits like a fitted sheet, but we've had no problems with it "runching" up so couldn't be more pleased.

This was easy to install, easy to use, and I thought compared to the altermnatives it was good value. The string ties are long enough so you could fit this (single) blanket onto either side or the middle of a double bed to suit personal preference.The cable and switch are fixed to one corner of the blanket but since the blanket works any side up you can flip the blanket over and have it on either side of the bed without a cable trailing across the mattress.I got one of these for my elderly mother in law and it makes all the difference in our cold guest room - level 3 is toastie warm, level 1 is just enought to ward off the chill, and the controls are easy for her to operate.

I'm so glad I chose this blanket. It is a good size on the bed. Has 3 heat settings all of which heat the bed within minutes. This is the fastest electric blanket to heat up that I've had so far. The only minus I would say is that it ties to the mattress with cords. This is something I hate because every time you want to turn your mattress you have to untie the cords. Also prolonged use of cords can damage the mattress if you have the cords tied tightly. Surely in this day and age companies could make them like a fitted sheet. It would cost little more than the cords do! I must admit I just carefully cut off the cords and make sure the blanket is flat on the bed before I turn it on.

i got the electric blankets in the winter for my kids beds and they both love them aged 2 and 4. easy to fit but make sure it is tied tight to ensure it doesn't move while sleeping. it has 3 heat settings which is great. i used setting 3 as with the covers up to the pillows it heats the bed and covers in 30mins. i would recommend this blanket as its cheap, great quality and heats the bed really well and its really warm. hope my review helps you decide whether you by one or not. but it is great, i liked it that much i got a double electric blanket for my bed.

This electric blanket is a great buy and definately serves its purpose to keep the bed nice and warm, the only problem i have found with it is that the connection flex/box which connects to the blanket is where you would have your arm and can be uncomfortable, it would have been better if this was situated at the top of the blanket nearer the pillow. Overall i am very pleased with my purchase and turn mine on 2 hours prior to going to bed - its like sinking in to a hot bath!!. the blanket cools down fairly quickley when turned off.

i wish i'd bought one of these ages ago! its gorgeous and makes such a difference! .. it heats up quite quickly and helps take away my aches and pains , i suffer from arthritis and fibromyalgia .. and i can honestly say this is my best purchase this year. I love it.. my kids want one each now lol its soft to sleep on and wide enough not to feel like you have to keep your body tight together, you can spread out a bit and still be toastie warm! the 3 temperature settings are enough too you really dont need anything more

This was brought for a friend who suffered a car accident a few years ago which damaged her back and is in constant pain the only way she can get relief is to stretch out and apply heat.She has told me this is a real godsend not only does it keep the bed warm ,the heat from the blanket on her shoulders down to her feet is so therapeutic she can now get a good nights sleep.as said, great product if it works for her it will work for you just as a bed warmer its really cosy definitely 5* recommendation

The lead is 2040mm including a control switch with 3 different positions. We use this blanket to warm the bed before getting into it. We unplug and remove it before getting into bed as we are uneasy about lying on an electrical appliance and, in any case, it would be too warm for us to sleep on. The blanket is on for approx 3/4 of an hour and it makes the bed cosy and warm in that time. It is rated at 60watts, no more than a modest incandescent light bulb. For our purposes it is a great product.

Whether you want a quick blast to heat the bed before you retire or a lower heat all night to keep you warm as toast this item is perfect for both. Since his stroke, my father takes blood thinning tablets and now finds it difficult to keep his extremities warm throughout the night. Not any more as he can safely leave the blanket on all night. On the other hand my mother-in-law doesn't like getting into a cold bed so she turns the blanket on about 15 minutes before retiring and then turns it off.

I bought this for my daughter and it works a treat. Its a good quality product and was a fair price. 3 heat settings makes. My only criticism is the connection between the flex and the blanket. While it is slim, it's still a bit bulky and my daughter does comment that she can feel it. I don't know how this compares to others on the market and if they too have a plug connection on the blanket. I think it's been added to the design so the flex can be removed so the blanket can be machine washed.

I suffer from cold feet and have had an electric blanket for years which packed up with no warning last week.Needed to replace it in a hurry as cheaply, but safely, as possible.This Silentnight fits across the bottom of the bed neatly to provide warmth on my feet where it is needed. I turn it in full (3) a quarter of an hour before bedtime and it is very warm when I get into bed, turning it down to 1 or off it maintains the heat until I have gone to sleep and my feet remain warm all night

Initially considered buying one of the cheaper blankets in order to air the bedding after our Motorhome had been in storage for a couple of months or so. However, this one is a brand I'm already familiar with, is larger in both directions and therefore covers the beds much better, so it's well worth paying the extra fiver to get this one in my humble opinion. It also seems to be of good quality, warms-up very quickly and has a decent length of flex fitted. Very happy with this product so far.

We bought 3 electric blankets before the ice and snow arrived and they are fantastic. Our house is very cold, but being able to get into a bed that has been warmed from head to toe is amazing. Switch onto 3, wait half an hour and the bed is toasty. If very cold, we also kept them on 1 during the night from time to time which just keeps the chill off. Fitting them was the worst thing and took two of us as it has to be tied round the mattress, but once they are on they are well worth the effort

This was bought as a "just in case" purchase as it was snowing and we were due to spend 2 weeks at a holiday cottage in Wales. My husband feels the cold and I wanted a reasonably priced, good name electric blanket. This is a decent sized single (used on a double bed) and although not tied in place, it has been comfortable and not moved.The only feature it is missing for us is a timer but given the cost, it is a great buy and folds up neatly for packing..A great choice for what we needed.

Tie it to your mattress & put your sheet over it, It's thin & you don't notice it's there until it's on! It's super warm, setting 3 is fab when cold & if you need a little heat all night use setting 1! 2 is great for medium heat. I put on 3,15 mins before Bed to heat up, then I jump in, warm up, pop down to 2 after 10mins & when almost asleep either tap to 1/off. (tap down from 1 to 0 or up from 3 to 0) it's changed my life, I no longer Use hot water bottles which scold & only heat one area!
