I bought this item in 2011, i.e. three years ago, and am posting this review now as I never post reviews on delivery; I like to give my purchases a good run before doing so and I reckon that three years is now long enough.The underblanket is described as a double but in reality is a wide single. I knew this before purchase but as I (mainly) sleep on my own I was prepared for this and quite happy about the fact. It reaches from just below the bottom edge of the pillows to about 9" (225 mm) above the end of the mattress. I find this adequate though if you sleep flat on your back you may not. It is easily wide enough for one person but not really wide enough for two.There are four heat settings: No 4,

This underblanket is great. Fantastic having two controllers so one side can be nice and snug, and if your partner doesnt want the heat they dont have too! Only problem I found is that I could feel where the lead attached to the blanket under the sheet, so positioning of the underblanket does help, my partner didnt have this problem though. Kept us both warm over winter, nothing better than getting into a lovely warm bed on a cold winters night!

When I first unpacked the item I was worried it was a bit thin and flimsy, the last time I used.an electric bla.ket was 15yrs ago and they were.very bulky!This was easy to secure to the double bed, and does not move. Its almost invisible to feel... And heats up the bed amazingly. I have a cold/damp air room and this is a cosy economic.solution.Very pleased with the item. Good value, and particularly useful that it is machine washable.

As usual, the Amazon delivery was very quick (before the date stated on the invoice).This article was purchased as part of my change from Propane Gas central heating, hot water and cooking, to all electric. It has worked well and is entirely satisfactory. The move to all electric has resulted in a reduction in fuel costs of one third (from approx. £1500 to approx. £1000 per annum). The conversion has paid for itself in two years.

I've never had an electric blanket before but after staying at a friends decided it was a must have. The blanket is great, has 2 off settings either end so you can easily turn it off whilst half asleep and 3 heat settings. The only thing I found wasn't that great was the way it attached to the matress so it slides down my bed but I adjust it every so often. But all in all I love it!

I bought two of these electric blankets for my two daughters returning home from uni to an old devon stone cottage, with draughty windows. They both think they are great, especially if DaD turns them on before they get home from partying. My 19 year old actually told me I was the best after she got home at 0215am to find a warm toasty bed. Good buy, excellent price thanks Amazon

Excellent electric blanket for the price if you like your bed really warm then use 3rd setting, 1st setting will only just take the cold away ? i found for the 1st time i fitted it to try each setting by feeling with your hand well before you go to bed to see which setting you like the best.(not everybody is the same)

Just about big enough for a double bed.Give it about half an hour to warmup at power level 3 and then turn down to level 1 for all night use.My bedroom ambient temperature is 10 degrees celcius.I've used this over the past 6 weeks and I'm happy with this product, it works well, I've bought 3!

I ordered this blanket as a gift for a friend- she did really appreciate it! It does look tiny when you receive it but it does its work and have very useful features (eg washable, yu can stick it in the tumble drier as well, it has an extra warm feet option,...). Thumbs up!

The Morphy Richards 75164 Double Electric blanket has been a brilliant buy over this very cold winter. I don't have central heating so an economically warmed bed has been very inviting! Good all-round purchase. The seller also delivered promptly as promised.

Great value for money, installation without problems, and warm during operation, found that only the lowest setting was sufficient even in all but the coldest nights. It lacks advanced options such as timers etc but I didn't miss them.

The Morphy Richard's electric blanket is heaven sent!! It's a product worth buying & usefull for the family.It keeps my kids warm & comfortable at night & they are very satisfied with the blanket!!

Whilst the item was relativley cheap, (more that half the price of like items), it has performed extremely well so far and is perfect for the recent very cold weather. Highly recommended.

Bought this electric blanket for a family member, and it works a charm. It's so much warmer than a £40 electrical blanket i have and half the price.A great buy for the winter!
