I've been on a journey and tried and bought a lot of headphones over the last 8 years, mostly by akg, sennheiser, beyer dynamic and bose.I concluded I needed wired and open backed for use at home, as closed backs neither sounded or felt as natural.I've a headphone amp but also like the convenience of being able to power via phone if needed.The 660s do it all and are my go to pair.I like...Sound. Not as exciting as some but undoubtedly the most rounded. They just get everything in balance neither showing off in the bass or thrilling with exaggerated treble.The fit. Not too tight for me. Velour is vastly preferable to leather as it never feels hot or sweaty. Unlike some other phones I've tried my ears don't touch drivers.

These were my first set of open back cans. they're good, comfortable, very light and have a 'special' feel to them.Sound didn't completely blow me away. The difference between these and a set 150 quid cheaper is about 10% in sound quality IMO. They're for a certain type of person and you could definitely get a cheaper set and be just as happy.If your in the market for a high end set of cans my advice is to go somewhere you can try out a heap of premium headphones and buy whatever had the best sound for you.

Best open cans i have owned fantastic just fantastic, not an audiophile just a normal chap who loves music partnered with my Fiio M11 DAP straight or my yamaha home system they are just out of this world, i can not recommend them enough, just remember they are open cans so not for the bus, but at home you will be in heaven.

These are truly spectacular headphones, the sound is spot on with the mix between highs and lows being particularly well balanced, comfort is A+ and I'm able to wear them all day without any problems and the fact I can easily power them to uncomfortable levels with my phone is an added bonus. Well done Sennheiser.

I have a pair of ageing HD650s so these were a logical aquisition. It was NOT a bad decision. The 'phones are excellent in fidelity and sensitivity. There'd really nothing more to say. The fit is quite firm on the ears at first but it lessens with use but never becomes slack.
