Having already owned a pair of the CX500, which suffered from the usual slider volume control problems, I ditched those after they became unusable. With a budget in mind and wanting an upgrade from the usual iPod generic headphones supplied with a lot of Apple products.I knew from listening to a pair of a friends CX300's, these could be the answer.A look around and a tight budget drew me to these, as the quality of sound is great value for money.Tight rich bass is really delivered,on some tracks thumpingly so.(After all they are advertised as Bass driven) On others it bought a different dynamic, especially on the bass guitar sections. (Donald Byrd-Dominoes and places and spaces were two noticeable tracks).Of course I would say it would depend on the genre of music your listening to, that gives different sounds as with other headphones. On other players you may well be able to adjust the levels of bass, treble etc to your own levels of enjoyment. On test I pushed the volume to full on my iPhone, for a few tracks and couldn't get any distortion from the units, not recommended for those with hearing problems.I found that adjusting the fit I was able to get a difference in the bass and reduce it too, making the higher end a bit more lively, whilst still being very comfortable to wear. These win over the iPod generics comfort wise, which become painful in the ear due to the hard plastic after a while. The soft ear buds were easy to change and I settled with the ones all ready fitted. My only issue is the headphone lead.I prefer symmetrically placed units as opposed to the asymmetric these come as supplied. It's good to see gold plating on the jack that should improve the transmission between out put and the speaker units.Overall fantastic, value for money upgrade and for those who love the Bass, these are for you....I bought 2 pairs one as a Birthday gift, which was well received.Read full review...

Advantages: - Juicy bass;- Comfortable lie in the ears;- Replacement ambyushury;- Asymmetrical cable;- Clean and loud;- Cable is not dubeet in the cold;- Good sound insulation.Disadvantages: - A tiny cable (sometimes it seems like he is about to break, although this has not happened);- Bass a bit smeared, myagkovataya;- The price can be done and it was lower;Comment: I originally buy Sennheiser earbuds before that always used pads, but having listened to the MX 400 and MX 470 realized that you need something else in terms of construction, because in spite of the loud and clear sound completely lacked bass. Accidentally stumbled upon three models gags Sennheiser CX 270,CX 271 and CX 300 realized that the sound is closer to me. Very loud and clear. Model CX 271 liked the least, as opposed to the CX 270 and CX 300 sound seemed a little bit dry. CX 300 from 270 model has a more rich and drive charge bass, but the bass more smeared and soft in contrast to the dense, but more dry bass CX 270. Generally anyone that ... Insulate ears just fine, and during and after the afternoon listening to music does not feel any discomfort in the ears. On the phone, Nokia N73 Volume happy with it, and the player's Watson was a lot of volume and use your ears to the volume above 85 percent were uncomfortable. I am happy with the ears - found what I wanted.Read full review...

I purchased some Song earphones and found that they were too bassy and to my horror they snapped a day after purchasing them despite a slight tug - not something that occured when I had my HTC earphones.I brought these Sennheiser earphones on the recommendation from a friend who has some Sennheiser headphones and from my other friend who uses Sennheiser when he used to DJ.Although more expensive than the Sony ones I had purchased I found that the extra cost did make them shine over the Sonys. First the packaging was very nice although this has no effect on the product itself it has a nice initial impression. You also get 2 sets of rubber inserts (I think thats what they are)for different size ears which is a nice afterthought. The sound is very crisp and clear and less bassy than the Sonys and obviously more clearer than the HTC's. I use these earphones to listen to music and watch videos on my laptop and theyre perfect for these purposes! It also comes in a nice little pouch when not in use which is another nice touch to prevent them from getting dirty/dusty!All in all highly recommended! And does not cost the earth and different to the JVCs and Sony earphones you see a lot of nowadays!Read full review...

These are easily the best in ear headphones for this price of only £12!This is now my 3rd pair of these as I keep losing them, but I wouldn’t buy any other in ear headphones, especially if they cost more than this. These are better than others I have tried that cost much more than these, eg SoundMAGIC E10 and Beats.I own some Beats over ear headphones that cost £200 pounds and these sennheisers actually sound better! They are also way better than the AKG ones that come with the Samsung smart phones. They are perfect for exercise as they are light, have good sound isolation, are small enough to fit comfortably in your ear, also have necklace style wire which is good for keeping the wire out the way when running/exercising.They also sound amazing and can handle anything you throw at them, even at high volume they just keep performing, others just don’t come close.Only issue is the cable is a bit too short and I would recommend getting some Comply foam ear tips for better fit and noise isolation, they are about £8 a pack but well worth it.So for £20 total you can have some of the best in ear headphones around!Read full review...

At first, like some others apparently, I thought these 'phones were naff. They were detailed but far too bright with practically no bass. I checked with some helpful eBay info to make sure they were genuine. They were. After being assured they were 100% I couldn't believe Sennheiser would make anything naff (they don't) so I experimented. I found that the error was mine. What you have to do is insert them well inside the ears. It's no good at all lightly resting them partially inside.Properly fitted, the sound changed incredibly. They were superb and my subtle classical music came alive. I can't imagine anything else sounding so good. I loved it.HOWEVER,I was not at all happy wearing them and always conscious of this uncomfortable lump stuck in each ear. It seems this type of in-ear headphone is just not for me.So my overall mark is only 4...even tho' the sound quality is most definitely 5+.Read full review...

I'm on my second pair of Sennheiser over-ear phones and I rate them pretty highly. I'd heard that the cable around the back of the neck could be troublesome but I don't mind it too much - cables will get in the way whatever style they are. I'm just a little disappointed in the sound quality. Some say they take a while to reach their best, that they need breaking-in. And I must stress, there's nothing wrong with the sound, exactly... I just think I was expecting to be blown away and instead I'm merely... satisfied. Could be I'm spoiled, my hifi is decent-ish, mid-range gear (Arcam). So I'm prepared to be patient and wait and see if they improve a little. One thing about the buy which I love is that when I want to shut the world out and get some work done, these definitely support that. So I can say you're not likely to be disappointed if you get them, especially at this price.Read full review...

I purchased this product because of Sennheiser's reputation and because I had previously bought Sennheiser earphones. At the time, I could not remember which I had bought before, but it turned out it was the next model up, the CX 400. Why do I mention this? Quite simply because in my own, honest opinion, I prefer the 300.The 400 includes a small volume control which I thought detracted from the overall performance of the earphones, the 300 doesn't and the signal to the speakers is that much stronger. And, anyway, most MP3 players do actually have their own volume control. In terms of clarity, treble and bass response, they are streets ahead of anything else I have used so far and the performance is plenty good enough for anything I want to listen to on my iPod.Dislikes? Absolutely none. A first class product which I would recommend to anyone.Read full review...

The Sennheiser CX 300-II headphones are designed with an interchangable soft rubber cup to suit different size ear canals. Once you have the correct size the headphones block out external noise and don't fall out of your ear. Some external noise can get through but only if it is very loud. The headphones come with a decent length of cable and have the usual long lead on one side so you can run the headphones behind your head. In use the headphones offer good frequency response although it does depend on the device they are used with. I found with my HTC One X with Beats Audio offers sufficient bass however with a cheaper MP3 player the headphones lacked bass. Do not get me wrong, these headphones are far superior to others I have had before, so good that three people in the house have pairs.Read full review...

Looking at the universally favourable reviews for these headphones, I can see they’re not a new product (as in, they came out a few years ago). Given the price I was sceptical that perhaps the item I was sent was fake but the packaging didn’t seem at all suspect. In fact if anything it was the headphones themselves that felt a little ‘off’ at first but I think it’s just because they feel cheaper than my last pair of Sennheisers which lasted years - the cable is harder and shiny plastic compared to the softer rubbery matte wire of the old (more expensive) pair, but I just think that’s because these are a budget option. They work well and the sound is fine for my needs.I don’t know if they’ll last as long but at nearly half the price if they last 12 months I’ll be happy.

Sennheiser CX 300-II are amazing product, i have had some like this before when they came out over 5 years ago and been impressed with them sins, and way i got another par is because i lost them. but still in working order. so they are incredibly durable pulse satisfying,Amazing for 100% music and no outer sound disturbance, pulse you get 3 different rubber size ear peaces for what ever size you are, the tighter the fit the more music, i find that the rubber peace thays like a bass booster like a rubber subwoofer that makes it feel much more bassy,Also small for having in on the sly if your boss dont want you to play music,so i recommended this item for any music lover with out going over £30.*****

I have bought Sennheiser in ear phones over the years and always found them value for money. This is the first review where I have had to raise a problem which is the actual wire being too stiff and maintains a memory of the original way they were packaged . (looped up with a cable tie). The RH earpiece has a longer wire which when I am wearing them the wire stands off my neck about 4 " in a shallow loop. The last pair I had were much softer (limp) but the outside of the cable became brittle in the area where it touched my neck and seemed to have reacted with my sweat and cracked.

When I bought the Sennheiser CX 300 II Headphones, I was hoping to get a pair of headphones that delivered clarity, noise reduction and of course - bass. The headphones certainly delivered all of these. The Sennheiser's are a magnificent pair of headphones, and in my opinion, they are definitely the best brand out there.Don't go for the very over-rated Skullcandy's, Sony's or the other big names which most probably won't be worth the price. The Sennheiser's are one of the best in-ear headphones that I have ever come across. I would recommend these for anybody. 10/10.

These headphones are actually really good. I bought mine for £20, and I have to say that they are worth every penny. The sound is really balanced, and the sound-spectrum is quite large. However, the bass is not as defined as for instance the Sony MDR XB20 EX (These headphones are not as good in the Sennheiser's in the mid and high-range, so I personally prefer the Sennheiser headphones.Pros:Good build qualityExcellent sound (for £20)ComfortableComes with a pouchCons:Could have a more defined bassCable is a bit short (1.2m)Overall it's a good headset

Ok, had a few sets of these, wear em at work all the time so the eventually get "killed!" Sound quality is pretty good with my ipod. They keep the noise out pretty well too.The only downside is the cable (which is lop sided (on purpose,) is really annoying but that"s just me, and the length seems to be quite a bit shorter than previously?Would i recommend em, yes i would, for how much they cost, (less than fifteen quid) they work well and are pretty durable. I usually kill em off at around twelve months, which with the conditions i work in i find acceptable.

Have had Sennheiser headphones before and they were decent but needed to be updated eventually so bought these Seenheiser CX 300 II's. VERY GOOD.Great sound and good bass. I like that when I'm on the train and there's a bit of background noise, you don't have to turn the volume up full blast because the headphones still provide a decent level of sound even on a lower volume. So it saves some battery on my MP3 player.Comfortable and don't fall out of my ears. Just the right length of cable. No complaints. Worth getting these than cheap alternatices.
