I received a pair of the Sennheiser GSP 350 headphones for Christmas and, I have to admit, I'm extremely impressed with them. Decent gaming headsets aren't cheap (typically upwards of £60 for a decent set) and the GSP 350's might cause some people to baulk at the fact that the GSP 350's are almost double that at £120 price tag. However, Sennheiser have clearly spent the money on equipping these with an impressive set of drivers that rival dedicated music headphones in the £150 to £200 price bracket. My reference point is a pair of AKG Q701 that I also own and the Sennheiser GSP 350 gives them a close run for the money in terms of audio quality. The bass has punch at low frequencies without being overpowering, whilst the mids and highs are nicely separated and everything sounds clear and natural - I'd be more than happy to use these as a dedicated set of music headphones and not just a means of chatting with friends online or in games. In terms of ergonomics and comfort, Sennheiser has got you covered. Of all the headsets I've owned over the years, these are hands-down winners in terms of comfort and design and I was able to wear them for the whole day. Instead of sitting on top your ears, the cups are designed so that your ears fit inside them. A lot of other headphones tend to make my ears hot and itchy after wearing them for a few hours (particularly those that sit on top of my ears), but I went the entire day without experiencing either of these problems. As for build quality, the GSP 350's are solid, robust and made from a good gauge of plastic; there's no creaks or rattles in the construction, but are also quite light, meaning they shouldn't cause any discomfort from wearing them for prolonged periods. The inside of the headband features some spongy, padded fabric that cushions the part of your head that comes into contact with the headband, rather than the plastic-leather (pleather) material on my previous set - being fabric means that it shouldn't perish over time like my last pair has.In terms of voice quality, my friends have reported that the microphone is excellent quality when I talk to them, although this really should be a given for any decent headset. The microphone is mounted on an arm that can be moved up out of sight then not in use, which also mutes the microphone. On the right ear-piece is a dial that can be used to increase/lower the volume independently of any software volume controls on your PC or gaming device. On the left ear-piece is a port for the supplied 3.5mm audio jack, which in turn connects to the DSP module via USB; the DSP module then connects to your computer or device using USB. The cable is quite thin (yet flexible) and should be fine for normal use, although it's quite long and I would take care to keep it off the floor as it won't do it much good to run over it with the wheels of your chair. The DSP unit itself features a single button used to activate/deactivate the Dolby 7.1 surround feature. This modifies the sound signature, making it sound like you're in the middle of a room with multiple audio sources covering front, side and rear positions - it's effective and does work, but does make the sound a little 'echoey' (for reference, my headset also featured 7.1 surround and sounded very similar). Whilst I would definitely leave the 7.1 off when listening to music, there are advantages to using the 7.1 surround - I played a few rounds of DICE's Battlefield 1 online and I was surprised at how effective the surround/positional audio really was, with incidental troop chatter that I'd never noticed before, as well as being able to pinpoint the sound of footsteps from approaching enemy troops; this won't be a panacea to making you a better gamer, but it does create a surprisingly immersive experience. All things considered, I am mightily impressed with the Sennheiser GSP 350 gaming headset and would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone and is easily the best headset I've owned to date.

(Writing this review after using the headset for atleast one month)I have used several gaming headsets before, the Sennheiser GSP 300 is first pair of gaming headsets I have owned. I will describe the full unboxing below.Packaging:Starting with the packaging, the GSPs come with a very detailed box. It has a verification holo mark or sticker to check the authenticity of each pair of these headphones. Opening the box didn’t require any tools. The headset is packed in a black soft plastic box. The box contains the GSP 300, an audio splitter and a product information cum warranty card.Build:Next, speaking about build quality, the GSPs are beautifully crafted and designed for gaming purposes. The overall construction is made of plastic but it is extremely sturdy. It has a dark grey colour in general with matte black and glossy blue accents.Headband: First of all the headband is really flexible and is padded with blue breathable fabric material which is very comfy. The padding has a split design, it doesn’t really create a difference but just a peculiar design. The headband is adjustable up to 6cm of head height.Intuitive volume wheel: The volume scroll wheel is placed on the right ear cup. It is not tactile but very handy while in-game use.Microphone: The microphone on the left ear cup is not detachable. The mic is elastic and sturdy as it does not bend or take shape but easily reaches near mouth.Ear cups: The ear paddings are oval or ear shaped, it perfectly covers my ear though some people prefer round ear paddings. They are memory foam leather ear pads which doesn’t hurt the ears even after several hours of usage, but they get a bit warm and sweaty as they aren’t breathable like the headband padding. Also, if you wear spectacles, it takes the shape of it so you won’t feel pressure on your ears.Cable: The cable is 2.5 meter (8.2 feet) long and has no in-line control and neither is it braided. It is split into two outputs, one mic and other audio. The splitter is made of hard plastic which feels really strong. Also they have included a connector for the split cables which can used for mobile devices.Performance:Sound: Speaking of the sound, Sennheiser is one of the best at this job. Just the right stereo sound you would expect from a premium gaming headset.Noise Cancellation: If you ever have tried an active noise cancellation headset, you may have noticed the dead silence. That’s not the case here, the GSPs are truly circum-aural which kind of feels the same. You might experience sound leakage from the bottom part of the ear padding due to its oval shape, happens only if you are wearing the headset too tightly.Microphone: One of the best mics ever put in a gaming headset. Crisp, clear, zero hissing noise and uni-directional. Even it has a background noise reducing feature in built which makes a significant difference. Compared to other condenser mics, the pickup voice is low; it can be boosted to perform better. The headset has an auto mute function when folded, which is pretty handy. Conclusion:At this price range, you get several competitors such as the HyperX Cloud II (has a detachable mic), Razer Kraken Pro V2 (has a retractable mic) etc. The GSP 300 is more towards gaming making it the best one in this round up. I personally use it only for gaming, so I give this a thumbs up and recommend this to every other gamer out there. But again, your necessity and your choice defines the meaning “best”.Thanks for spending your crucial time to read this review, please rate this helpful if you found such.

Does what it says on the tin. Looks and feels like a very solid piece of kit yet time will tell about that obviously. I like the overall appearance of the headset, looks like a quality product without looking like it fell off an alien warship like some other gaming headsets do.It's ideally suited for FPS gaming like PUBG where you need clear and accurate sound to quickly identify where shots/footsteps came from and how far out they are. It seems to perform better at that than any other headset I've owned. The mic is clear and all the quality your Discord buddies will ever need or deserve. Muting the mic by raising the boom is a neat feature that I've found very handy. You can't have everythingin a headset and while it does very well in competitive games it's not really the best for creating the sound you want in a single player game or film. The GSP 350 makes everything sound very clear but curiously distant and just plain odd. Comparing it to other mic-less headsets I own it just somehow lacks "oomph" for lack of a better word. I'm no audiophile so I can't explain it better than that. It's only adequate as a music player. I tend to use something else when listening to music for long periods of time. This is not an uncomfortable headset but it's not what I'd call comfortable either. The cans will clamp down pretty tight on your head regardless of your head size and the band is very stiff. You get used to the this after a few days and it shouldn't bother you at all while it's on but it's never going to be a "comfy" headset. I always feel the urge to rub my ears after I'm done with it which I never had with other headsets. Finally, the Surround Sound feature is something most people will tell you is just a gimmick. I haven't made up my mind on that just yet but I tend to run with it turned off.Decent value for money as long as you are buying it for the right purpose.EDIT two years later in anno domini 2020:There's pictures people posted here of the ear buds splitting at the seams after roughly two years. Mine look identical to those pictures. Despite that I'm buying another. I've tried and returned a few headsets including the Sennheiser GSP 500 for being too uncomfortable. The 350 spoiled me. Once the headband loosened up the GSP 350 became the most comfy headset I ever owned. I don't even know it is there! Me and the GSP 350 form parts of the same beautiful person, as I howl at angry internet men from Kyrgyzstan for dropping Pochinki on my broadcast quality mic.The headset uses a single USB port as input and not a standard jack but you can buy a standard jack with a splitter into headphone/mic jacks that will work with it. As a matter of fact, you have to, if your cable fails, as mine did. No replacement USB cable to keep the surround sound functionality for this item exists to be had for love or money. Not that it matters as I still think it's a surround on this headset is a gimmick, but it makes connecting it to the work laptop with no mic input much more fiddly.

After reading the views on this headset i gave it a shot and bought them after my hyper x cloud II headset broke, so this review will be mainly comparing them to the Cloud II s. I've only had them for a week but so far this headset is phenomenal. The sound on the GSP 300 is fantastic, i hear so much more in games than i did with my cloud II s. I've never heard such good sound in a headset worth £80. The GSP 300 itself took some time to adjust too because the cloud II was just so comfortable, but now i would say the comfort is on par with the Cloud II s. The GSP 300 also comes with 2 year warranty which is very nice (So does the Cloud II s however i could only get a refund because of complications with the manufacturer). The mic quality is superb so much better than the Cloud II s, however it is a very quiet mic which i mention more below. Hopefully they last longer than my cloud II s as they only lasted my 9 months after the right ear died! However there are a few complaints about the headset i have to issue. The first being the mic was very quiet as you cant adjust the mics position, but to increase the mic sound i went into the control panel and increased the sound which you can find very easily online and now it's at a suitable sound. The next complaint is that there isn't much noise cancelling so my friends can hear the videos i'm hearing but not games which helps because i can easily mute my mic when i'm watching videos, however this was only a problem when i turned the volume of the mic up as i mentioned early. Also the mic itself is big and bulky and its not detachable which i'm not used to but i guess ill be fine with this over time. The last thing i must mention is that the cable may be too short for some people as it can only just reach my PC as its on the right side on top of my desk, but this isn't a problem for meOverall, i have given this 5 stars as it's the best headset I've used ever, i prefer it so much more than the Cloud II s. You may be wondering why i gave it 5 stars even though there are some complaints however these complaints are very minor and might be absolutely fine for some people and you got to remember that this headset only cost £80. I know i haven't covered every point but i have covered every point that i think is important in a headset which is: Mic quality, Comfort and sound. But in my opinion it ticks all 3 boxes after a few adjustments. So i would absolutely recommend this headset, however if you can spend a few more pennies i would go with the GSP 350 as the 7.1 surround sound is meant to be very good. But if you don't care about surround sound this is probably the best headset for under £100 in my opinion.

I bought this Sennheiser headset from argos although I am leaving a review here since you cannot actually write the review only give ratings on different categories.Firstly I would like to give the pro's of the Sennheiser gsp 300 and then I would like to give then cons.Pros -The headset is vert light and flexible which is very good as it isn't this big bulky thing that sits on your head, in fact you can't really tell you have a headset on your head when you are wearing it. Another good thing about the headset is the comfort, the memory foam leather ear pads have a very nice shape and fit around the ear and you can game for long periods of time without your head hurting or developing a headache ect.The headset is also very practical, if you want to turn the sound up or down all you need to do is turn the small wheel on the right side of the headphone so you don't have to mess around finding a volume changer half way down the cable. The mic is also extremely easy to mute, all you need to do is lift the microphone up. I would say the sound quality is good but I wouldn't say its out of this world its better than my old headset but that was a £20 headset so this is where I can't really give a professional judgement.Cons -I wouldn't say the headset has many cons at all but these may be something that just puts you off or makes you get another headset. The first con is about the microphone, the microphone is very good quality but it's extremely quiet. You can't really fix this though as the microphone is hard to move close to your mouth as the arm of the headphone is quite rigid. You can boost the microphone in the properties on windows but you often hear static in the headphone if you do this and you sometimes lose a bit of the quality by boosting. This point isn't really a con but i would say that Im not 100% sure the headset is worth the money, it's a good headset although I would be thinking £50-70 would be a better price tag instead of the £90 Sennheiser ask for.

Sennheiser make some very good cans. They also make some very good,, and expensive gaming ones that are a variant of one product line. These mark a move into dedicated gaming series with ‘gaming’ styling and several great features.Firstly, it comes well presented in packaging instantly recognisably to anyone who’s ever bought Sennhesier before. It is also compatible with pc/mac/PS4 or most things with an audio jack. The headset is well built and aesthetically pleasing, and while the styling nods towards it’s intended market it is not garish or overly flashy. The head band features an aviation stile split which works well to keep head pressure to a minimum. The cans when clamped to your head aren’t too tight which is good. They are closed cup so while extended sessions may require a few breaks to keep your ears from getting too sweaty they effectively keep out unwanted external noise. This is aided by the memory foam cups which cushion and seal out unwanted noise whilst focusing you on the sound you do want to hear. The feature a ball joint hinge that cleverly adjusts to your faces angles for comfort and fit. With a frequency response of 15-26,000 Hz I found sound reproduction when gaming was very good. This is where the Sennheiser heritage shines. Sound was on a par with both the Mionix Nash and Corsair headsets I have previously tried. And whilst it wasn’t quite as good as my Beyer dynamic DT990 Pro’s it does feature a mic and the package as a whole works well. The set boasts a broadcast quality mic which I think could be misleading. It’s broadcast quality for online gaming and not in the traditional media sense. Activated by flipping the boom down it works extremely well. Friends report clear audio and I like the flicking it up to deactivate it rather than an inline control as often they fail over time.Overall a superb gaming headset. Aesthetically pleasing and most importantly sounds great.

I do a fair bit of gaming and my current headphones are largely inadequate as they leek sound in and out. I relished the opportunity of testing these latest headphones from Sennheiser.Headphones come well packaged. Box is well presented with an authenticity label attached. All you need to know is printed on the box:- 2 year warranty- Compatible with PC, Mac, PS4, Mobiles and Tablets- 15 - 26,000 Hz frequency response- 2.5m cable- 2 x 3.5mm Mic and Audio jacks- 290g weight. You get an adapter for the jacks to make them into one depending on your device. Also you get a small booklet which basically deals with the safety issues such as volume etc.The headphones themselves are well put together, nothing feels like it is going to come away or get loose any time soon. Although bulky (makes you look like a Cyberman), they are very light. On the right hand cup is a dial that turns the volume up or down. It isn't marked so I didn't notice it at first. The headphones fit nicely both on my big head and also on my partners dinky head where most headphones don't fit. There is a nice amount of cushioning on the top of the head and a nice cupping around the ears. First thing I noticed was how little noise they allow in. I got a cushion thrown at me when I didn't realise my partner was talking to me :)As to sound quality, these are superb and nicely balanced across the range. The deep thumps of explosive gaming weapons as well as the high pitched whine of bullets come through brilliantly. Equally the microphone is good quality and, more difficult to prove, my friends had no problem with my voice inundating their lugs. The microphone also doesn't get in the way like some do and has been nicely angled away from the mouth.Cable is a nice long length, just make sure you don't trip over it.

I have these just over a year now and have no regrets. I work and play at my PC on average about 12 hours a day. I attend a lot of video calls, I make a lot of training videos, I play a lot of games at night. So for me these are both "work" and "Play". I find them very comfortable for long periods. I have got through many pairs of cheaper headphones as I used them so much, so though these cost a lot more, they have made up for it in terms of durability, sound quality and features.1. Love the up and down microphone muting/unmuting applications. In Skype/MS Teams/Discord it works perfectly.2. I find the sound quality excellent for voice, music and games, though do not count myself an audiophile.3.The noise cancelling was a feature I specifically wanted as I make a lot of training videos and also am quite "breathy" when talking. This feature is outstanding. It significantly reduces my heavy breathing whilst still recording my voice in a clear manner, but where it really stands out is with background noises. I recently purchased a portable air-conditioner for my home/office. It is sat no more than 2ft behind me, yet there is not trace of it when attending conference calls or recording training videos, it does seem almost "magic"In terms of actual gaming, I play most nights, but am not a "serious" gamer, so cannot truly comment on any specific gaming capabilities, other than the "good sound and comfortable" already mentioned. The only slight drawback I have found is in the very simplistic software, in particular the Equaliser, you only have 3 hard-set profiles to choose from. I am used to being able to set different music profiles depending on the music type I am listening to, but with this software its not possible, but you can use your own if that bothers you

I was really excited to try these headphones. When I opened the box there was no manual in the box so I had know idea how to set it up with my PS4 and also what the knob on the right earphone was. Even the Sennheiser web sight didn't really help so I was left to my own devices to work it all out.So first you need to use the the 3.5mm splitter plugs with the headphones comes with. This then plugs into the controller of your PS4 and your sorted, although you will have a large amount of cable between you and the controller. Would of been nice if the cable was shorter. You do have to go into the audio settings on your PS4 to get the volume and mic set up the way you like it.The knob on the right hand of the headphone is your volume control of all audio including chat. Right now that thats all set up its time to try these babes out.As Im still working my way through Star Wars Battlefront I thought this would be a good game to see how the sound quality is with first person shooters and flight squadron. The headphones have a really nice fit. When chatting to friends you can mute the mic just by lifting it back. Which is very handy as there is no buttons. The headphones are quite snug, like wearing a pair of ear defenders so you own voice sounds muffled when your in the middle of game play and your chatting to your mates. I had them on for a full 3 hours gaming session and unlike other headphones that start to hurt as I also wear glasses these didn't although my ears did feel a touch sweaty.Overall I really like these headphones. The sound quality is loud enough and has enough bass to make you fell like you right in the action. They are very comfortable and light weight and don't feel uncomfortable if worn for several hours.

Review Date: 28/06/20Purchased: July 2017TLDR: Fantastic gaming headset with amazing spatial awareness and excellent microphone.I've owned a lot of low and mid-range headphones over the years (£20-£200). The sound quality of these headphones are excellent with a fantastic sound range, specifically high and mid. These aren't going to rumble your brain with bass, so if that's what you are looking for, look at Sony or Skullcandy (but also not what you want for a gaming headset). One of the primary reasons I recommend these headphones is the microphone. SO many of my friends have purchased expensive wireless gaming 7.1 headphones and they are CONSTANTLY causing problems. They are either buzzing and hissing because the batteries are low or they are getting interference from another wireless device. With over 1200 hours of use, nobody has EVER commented on my mic quality, audio degradation or background noise, despite having a family running around in the background at certain parts of the day.The spacial awareness of these headphones is also stellar. Audio footstep awareness in FPS games is vital and these headphones give me excellent real-time information. Many of my regular FPS teammates have the 5.1/7.1 headphones and I honestly feel I have as good, if not better spatial awareness of footsteps than they do.Being on a team with someone who has low batteries, interference and mic buzzing in a crucial point of the game can mean win or lose. If these headphones broke tomorrow I'd buy them again over a wireless 'high-end wireless surround sound' pair. If you care about your teammates and your wallet, buy these!

This fully adjustable Sennheiser GSP 350 headset for the PC is very good looking and particularly comfortable, it is designed in red and black and has plenty of padding on the ear cups and head band. We have purchased Sennheiser Gaming Headsets in the past for the Xbox and have been really pleased with them. These ones for the PC are equally as good. This headset arrives securely packed inside a good quality cardboard box.The box contains:• GSP 350 Gaming Headset• Safety guide• Quick start guide• USB surround dongle cable• USB cableThey sit comfortably over the ears blocking outside noise extremely effectively. Used for online gaming they are just about perfect, with its noise cancelling microphone it is almost completely lag free and vocals sound like vocals should, you can actually tell who you are speaking to by voice alone! The microphone is well made and pretty sturdy and a feature that I really like is the ability to remove yourself from an in game chat immediately simply by lifting the microphone up.When playing first person shooter games (like call of duty and modern warfare) the lag free environment makes it easy to hear people creeping up on you ... a real bonus. The customisable surround sound feature is really fantastic making the in game sound effects superb.Used for audio (music and the like) the quality of sound is like nothing you've heard before (in this price range), base sounds just as base should. I've even used this headset for listening to audio books on our PC and for this it works brilliantly as well.To sum up ... worth every penny.

These aren't the best headphones I've used, and I've had a couple of sets that look and feel more premium than these. Those sets have also had a replaceable cable so that if it gets snagged the cable unplugs rather than yanking the headset off. Sound-wise, these are better than the cheaper Sennheisers and Philips headsets I've used, but not a match for a £300 headset. However, for gaming the microphone is great, and a significant improvement over most cheaper sets - not only in the clarity of the sound pick-up, but in the sturdiness of the boom and its smoothness of movement. The sound is nice and clear, with a strong bass - if anything slightly over-emphasising this, so it's not a completely neutral sound, but this is likely what you want for most games. There's a useful volume knob on one side, so that you can easily adjust the volume at the headset, too. It's not crisp enough for individual guitar plucks, but it's probably as good as anything you'd get for £100 or less. The foam surrounds are fairly comfortable, helped by the light weight of the headset. It's a bit plastic-y, but this helps keep the weight down for those long sessions.Unlike some of the other reviews, I don't think this is that stylish a headset - there's much nicer looking ones on the market, but compared to most specifically gaming headsets, this has an excellent microphone, very good sound, decent sound isolation and a light weight. The cable is also very long, so not suitable for general outside use, but handy for use a fair way across a room.

This is a great lightweight headset, which is well built (as always by Sennheiser). I made a mistake of sending it back and getting the Cloud Revolver which is nowhere near as well designed and has lots of issues! (wish I kept the Sennheiser now). The GSP300 is light, built fully from plastic to keep the weight down. Split headband works well (most of the time), sometimes you have to adjust the position of it on your head to get it to sit properly. Although theres sufficient padding so once you get the position correctly its very comfortable.I got medium size ears and the cups fit all round perfectly, the clamping force is fairly strong out of the box however it loosens up with use (probably after a week or so).The cable was a bit annoying for me, its very rubbery and springy which can get annoying. I would have preferred for it to be braided. However it is very good length!Love the volume control on the earcup, it works really well and has decent weight to it. Also the lift mic-mute function is really cool, even though I personally didint find it that useful because I use push to talk almost all the time.Sound is very balanced, which is what Sennheiser is great at so the headset is very versatile. Although I find positioning in games like CSGO is a bit better with the HyperX Cloud Revolver. One thing I find annoying is that they chose to make this a closed headset, which is a bad decision IMO. Unless you supply the headset with breathable mesh or velour ear pads!! Ears can get very warm and sweaty.

I was on the fence for this product as there wasn't much information regarding it on review sites. I think its been a month since my purchase and this is my review. It has replaced my Razer Charcharias headset from 2012.Pros+ 7.1 sound quality+ Comfortable for long hours (I've marathoned ME:Andromeda for a good 13 hours wearing this without even going to the bathroom)+ Surprisingly doesn't heat your ears (at least not mine) even though its closed back.+ Adjustable volume knob is actually really useful.+ Single USB to plug and play with slight con (explained later)+ Mic is turned off as you push it up which is useful for bathroom runs or general muting without having to tab out of a game.I use it with discord.Cons- Don't really know how it stands to other in its class since this is my only desktop headset after Razer back in 2012. I have another Sennheiser set and I'm happy with it so reputation wise, not a bad company to buy from.- You need to install the Sennheiser software for it to give 7.1 sound which I found to be extremely finnicky. This resulted in multiple restarts, adjusting the cable and other things but is very stable when it works so YMMV. In the end, the cable to connect my headset to the USB cable was not properly in which cause all of the problems.- Mic is OK but I do not think it can replace a separate headset/desk mic combo but for an all in one package, I found it to be very useful.TLDR; Good mic/headset all in one package that doesn't break your bank as much and just works.

So close to being perfect.Bought these after using numerous gaming headsets over the past few years. Recently have used Phillips SHP9500 audio headphones and Samson HD681Evos wboth with a VModa Boom Mic and they have been great also but just not quite tick all the boxes.I had hoped these were the answer and initial impressions were great. They sound decent even for music and phones etc will have no problem driving them.Tried them with my PS4 Pro - using the connection to the pad and again they sounded great - nice and easy for the pad to drive them to loud sound levels and friends reported the Mic sounded great also.Problem came when plugging into an Astro Mixamp Pro - while game audio wasagain superb - the Mic just won't work (well not unless i pretty much put it in my mouth and shout at which point a horrible distorted voice sound is transmitted. Now while I don't think this is necessarily a headphone problem as such, it does seem that the Mic is perhaps being caught out by the noise gate on the Mixamp? If so and these are incompatible then they'll miss out on a large part of the market. Don't really want to pay £90 just to connect to the pad.Such a shame - I have support requests in with Sennheiser and Astro but think these will have to be returned.**Update - seems this is a Mixamp Pro compatibility issue with the Mic on these. Switched to a Mixamp TR and the Mic now works perfectly.**
