A friend with four children commented how given that she's spent much of the last 7 years pregnant or breast feeding she wished there were more tasty non-alchoholic drinks on offer and I have to agree. I was on some medication which meant I couldn't have any alchohol so I was elated when I first read about Seedlip and ordered two bottle straight away. Calorie and sugar free these are not just a great alchohol alternative but a delicious and healthy stand alone drink. I've mostly had it just with tonic water but have also tried it mixed with gin for a low-alcohol drink. The flavour is strong and botanical with lots of woody scents and clove. My partner liked it almost as much as my but my mother (who hates gin it might be impertinent to add)thought it was absolutely disgusting. Personally I will be ordering more in the future as a pleasant alternative to drinking and hope they start to serve this in my restaurants and bars and perhaps seedlip will bring out more flavours.Oh and one more thing to note is that it should be consumed within 8 weeks of ordering. Some say that the bottle size is large for such a short shelf life but personally I will have no problem getting through it and even opened a second bottle of a different flavour.

I love everything about this product, from the glass bottle it is in, the design of the labels are beautiful and well thought out to the clear calorie free, sugar free liquid inside. This is an amazing drink and I really do love it - the Seedlip Spice is a warming drink but DO NOT JUST ADD WATER.No it is not gin - it does not taste like gin - it does not confess to tasting like gin so do not buy it if you want it to taste like gin..I drink Seedlip 94 with Teisseire 0% sugar pink grapefruit and sparkling water in a tall glass and it is really delicious! The Seedlip 108 is also a lovely drink - again - not a gin! I add Teisseire 0% elderflower syrup, sparkling water and ice.I have not tried any with tonic water as I do not want to add any sugar and yes the price is a little high however this is a not your common cordial - you do not slug it down because you are thirsty - it is a drink to enjoy and savor and the enjoy the time that has been spent making this drink. As you can tell I am a great fan and will be buying more especially as they are on offer and the next one to try will be Seelip 42 which I think will go well with the Teisseire 0% Sugar Passion fruit - looking forward to it!Highly recommend and hope you enjoy ...

Better than real gin? NoA real alternative to gin that's better than many other options? Yes!I decided to have a period of total abstinence from alcohol (it's so common in Irish society you sometimes lose perspective on it) but during that time I wanted some 'adult' drinks that were an alternative to sugary or sweet non-alcoholic alternatives out there.I already really like tonic water but I also wanted something to jazz it up and add a bit of flavour and variety so I got both the Spice and Garden variants of the Seedlip Drinks. On balance I think I preferred the Garden version (like a slightly 'grassy' gin really)but the Spice version was also nice and it could have some interesting uses in the run up to Christmas.I wasn't keen on it neat or over ice but I wouldn't drink alcoholic spirits that way either (and am not a big spirits drinker overall).I shared it with many friends and relatives and most of them enjoyed it a lot, with an interesting split of partiality as between the Spice and Garden versions. I'd love to see what else the Seedlip Drinks company could come up with.

A lot of these reviews seem to focus on what they want this product to be and not reviewing it for what it actually offers. I stopped drinking back in August and have struggled to find suitable alternatives to accompany my relaxing time in the evenings. I used to be an avid red wine drinker and usually had gin and tonic when out with friends. I came across Seedlip and tonic whilst in a chain restaurant and was pleasantly surprised. It isn't trying to be gin, or any spirit for that matter, just an alternative, so approach with an open mind. It's reminiscent of gin, or a botanical spirit. Served with a decent tonic which pairs well, the flavours are elevated. This particular flavour has a lovely subtle spice, perfect for a Christmas tipple. Served with a segment of orange and a light tonic, delicious.Overall, if you're after a non-alcoholic drink to tide you over or replace alcohol, this is perfect. I am drinking this daily, and I love it. If you are looking for gin, this isn't gin.

Absolutely love the spice one. This has saved me A LOT of money over lockdown from buying wine and gin and then having the usual post alcohol binges. With seedlip you've got to buy into the fact it's carefully distilled with very complex flavours so when mixed with your favourite tonic/mixer it has a appreciative "having a drink" experience. I personally LOVE the cocktail on on the seedlip website for the spice. That's low calorie Ginger Ale, shot of Seedlip Spice half a lime sliced into discs and build over a lot of Ice - served in a wine glass. Psychologically if you're trying to be good and feel healthy by having an proper adult drink to savour then this is it. It's not a substitute for any spirit, again you need to buy into the fact it's carefully distilled like the best aromatic gins, but it's aim is to be mixed. Amazing nearly through a full bottle in 2 days! Got the rest of the family on it and they love it. All ZERO calories. Will be buying more!

Seriously, what are people on about??????? Have you tried some of the horrendous non alcoholic wines and alternatives out there?????This is the best non-alcoholic drink on the market. Absolutely tastes like an expensive artisan flavoured gin. Both my mom and I can’t drink alcohol now for medical reasons but we both know our Gin! Add a touch of this to a tonic and you get a delicious, warm, spicy tasting alcohol-free drink that makes you feel atlast like you can enjoy a truly adult drink instead of some sickly sweet fruit juice tasting concoction. Though i don’t make cocktails myself i’m also told it makes delish mocktails. We have “Grove” too to try.To boot, there are zero calories so if you are following a healthy eating plan you can have this with slimline tonic and this will cost you nothing of your daily budget! And finally this is made by a new British company so supporting our economy too. Fabulous!

This really is an exceptional drink. However don't confuse with Gin or alcohol in any way. Be prepared also to give this drink a bit of tender loving care. Buy some really decent tonic for it, like fever tree, the elderflower goes well. Also freeze your glass in the freezer for an hour. loads of ice and 40/50mils in glass, slice of lemon. maybe a few drips from the lemon also. it has to be cold and sipped slowly. Just close your eyes and think about the tastes. its very complex and you do detect wonderful flavors. Make it a treat, make it once or twice a week. Make it feel special. Yes you will get some people say to you, why you drinking that and look at you in that stupid, I need to get drunk fashion. This drink is sophistication, its above alcohol. Its above these people.

This is a really good alternative to the classic alcohol based drinks. You might find yourself in the position of craving for a drink but not necessary an alcoholic one, then you'll see that there are not many options out there to choose from , and this one can successfully emulate a classic gin & tonic. The only downfall I can find is the price, in my opinion this is an overprice non-alcoholic drink which can easily match a good quality whisky or something similar. I do understand that they're trying to find a spot on the premium market but still......Is very good with tonic water or as an ingredient to a cocktail but under NO circumstance try this neat or on the rocks.....disgusting

If you are rating Seedlip spice against a spiced gin such as Opihr then it won't hit the mark... It's not a gin! As a very grown up non-alcoholic and sugar-free drink it is brilliant though which is what it should be measured against. The price is high given it contains no alcohol but the taste is great. I make it with Fevertree Naturally Light Aromatic tonic with a piece of cinnamon bark in it and it is great.Would I drink this if I could have a G&T - simple answer is no however I can't drink alcohol at the moment and I abhor sugary drinks so this is a brilliant substitute; I was not looking forward to just drinking water non-stop.

A friend suggested this while I was doing a much needed month of no alcohol. At first, I didn't think this would be for me, smelt too much like Christmas and I'm not a fan of spices in my drinks, but mixed with fever tree and a slice of lemon, I really liked it. It's not exactly like gin, but it's refreshing and a more grown up and interesting taste than just water or cordials. If it wasn't for this I think I would have struggled a lot more in my month of not drinking, and to be honest, I've become quite hooked on this. Not only do I really enjoy this now, I love waking up feeling refreshed in the morning.

I stopped drinking a while back and maybe the fact I had gone without for a while before tasting this helped. Bought after reading rave reviews and all spirit alternatives I'd tried were v sticky and sweet. This is a really special drink, it made me feel like I had a treat over Christmas. Especially good with bottle green pomegranate and elderflower tonic water. I think it is a fab concept, beautiful bottle and I wish more pubs and bars would stock good alternatives like this so you can feel part of the drinking set when out. However I wish it was £10 cheaper! Looking forward to trying the garden variety.

I nearly didn't buy this due to some bad reviews. In short, I'm glad I did. The packaging makes you feel like you're joining in with the party and the pleasant flavour means you drink it slowly. I've just bought more bottles - one for me and a couple as gifts. People who tried it at the party are buying some too. Just try it. Yes, it's damned expensive cordial, so if you want to save money don't buy it. Simple. If you want to join in with the adults, value yourself and your health - give it a lash. I preferred it with elderflower tonic, one friend with plain, one with Mediterranean - try for yourself.

This really hits the spot when mixed with a decent tonic and a slice of lime. I am unable to drink due to a medical condition and this is a lovely grown-up alternative to the real-deal. I agree that when tasted neat it tastes just like water with some spices added, but mixed with a good quality tonic the drink comes alive and can only be rivalled by a tonic and angostura bitters (which, like this is a bit of an aqcuired taste). The only reason it isn't 5 stars is the price, as, just because it is an gin alternative, shouldn't mean you have to pay the same price as a bottle of gin!

I tried all three versions of this at the Spirit of Christmas show in London yesterday. And they are all tasty but if you’re looking for something that might substitute a gin, the Spice version is the best. It’s clearly not gin so don’t expect it to be but it has been distilled in the same way then they’ve taken out all the alcohol from it.If you’re a gin lover and perhaps want a substitute for it this is a really nice option that allows you all the same fun and flare of preparing a g&t. Serve with a decent tonic like fever tree and some ice and grapefruit and it’s fabulous.

It is growing on me. I have the right combo of 5 ice cubes, pour over Seedlip Spice 94 to cover ice and add 1 inch of Fevertree Tonic Water. I used Cinnamon Fevertree to combine with the spices. Really refreshing. Hoping that there are health benefits of the spices used to make it. Can even drink it on a fast since there is zero calories or sweeteners. Also good if you are on a low carbon diet. Bottle is beautiful. I like how the cap is copper coloured to effect the copper still it was made in. Make a nice gift for anyone who would take the time to make it right.
