The Quince flavour is one of my absolute favorites so far; it’s gorgeous on its own (almost like a liqueur flavour) and even mixed. I’ve never seen it drop to £20 as many of the others do however, so I generally spend around £23 a bottle. I’ve even subscribed to this bottle as I really love the depth and tang and it’s so versatile!To be totally honest with you, one of my favourite things to do is to add Whitley Neill gins to my tea of an evening! In my opinion; Quince gin goes far better with green (sencha) tea than English black tea. It gives it a very aromatic and deep flavour that I highly recommend!———————{The Whitley Neill series}I’ve been slowly but surely working my way through the entire Whitley Neill gin series!I tend to buy when bottles are around £20 or less (always sold and dispatched by amazon). I also generally opt for extra amazon packaging if possible, which means that they tend to arrive in a small protective rectangular box inside the larger Amazon box (alongside whatever else I’ve ordered at the time).Firstly, the bottles themselves are gorgeous, the various colourings are mostly on the bottles and not the actual liquid so they make a lovely collection even after they’re empty. I always repurpose them though once we’ve finished the gin (which doesn’t take long!) and use them to keep things such as soy sauce, olive oil, and even coconut milk in the fridge as they seal so nicely and seem to keep things fresher for longer. Each bottle has a different image printed on it above the Whitley Neill name that’s related to the flavour of the gin inside (except for the white limited edition ones).This is completely a 5 star product range, but as with all alcohol it very much depends on the drinkers preferences as to which will be their favourite. One thing you can guarantee is that for gin lovers; you can definitely find something you love in the Whitely’s range!!

I'm no connoisseur of expensive fancy vodkas so people who are..don't take aim at me if you buy this vodka and don't love it. I'm used to your usuals, smirnoff, russian standard etc.I've only had a few flavoured vodkas, several from Absolut. The Absolut ones are god awful, you cannot drink those straight unless you like the taste of washing up liquid for a flavour. It's so chemical-y and just synthetic..even with a mixer I don't want it.Then I had Whitley Neills rhubarb vodka, which was a significant improvement. No chemical taste at all. I thoroughly enjoyed it and at £15 I was pretty damn pleased. However after so much of it I was put off as it was certainly sweet.Maybe better to mix with something that balances it out. I was drinking it straight. Sworn off Absolut and still very curious about flavoured vodkas, I tried a miniature of this from Sainsbury's and w o w.THIS is incredible and I've not bought any other vodka since. Only £22 for 43% alcohol is impressive on it's own but the taste is so beautiful and warm. No need for a mixer. If you want to go ahead but I think it would only take away from the beauty of this smooth vodka. Doesn't give my heartburn either like a lot of straight spirits seem to. Can't recommend it enough.

My regular tipple is L&G's Woodford Reserve Bourbon, but when I found myself in the local Booths picking a few things up for Xmas I spotted Whitley Neill's Blood Orange Vodka on the shelves. Something about it drew me to it, maybe the elegant simplicity of the bottle, maybe a reminder of my teenage love of Blood Oranges and it's unique citrus tang, or just the desire to treat myself to something a little different over the break. Whatever it was, I'm so glad I tried it ... it is absolute perfection ... just wait till the subtle burst of Blood Orange flavor hits and explodes on your tongue ... incredible! It's such a clean gorgeous Vodka with no odd aftertaste. In the same way that since discovering Woodford Reserve,it would be impossible to go back to the generic Jack Daniels or Jim Beam, it will be impossible to go back to Smirnoff etc after this. So, I have a new best friend ... and by the way, I went straight back to Booths and bought another 3 bottles in case they sold out. After looking at their other products, I noticed they do their own Gin. My partner is a fan of Brockman's Gin so I plan to buy her a bottle to try, and look forward to trying it out myself ... (o;

Arrived well packaged. I was very surprised with the level of care put into protecting the bottle so it arrives to you safe and ready to drink.The bottle looks vibrant with that old school parma violet sweets. It had a cork style pull of lid which just adds to that kind of home created craft style bottling.Now the taste and smell... it just reminded me of being a youngster popping a pack of parmas violets in my mouth (this gin is an adults only drink fyi). My mouth was salivating just with the wonderfully balanced aroma.It dances on your taste buds and has a good strength to it.I gifted it to myself, but definitely a very worthwhile gift.Will be trying some of the other flavours too soon.Hoping they are as spot on as this.

You can definitely taste the flavours in this gin...more so - than the rhubarb and ginger or the pink grapefruit .... ,.It is not as sweet as the rhubarb gin . & goes well with plain tonic water . Its nice to try a different gin , I’ve tried all the current whitney nell flavours and so far my favourites are , pink grapefruit or rhubarb and ginger....I have coupled them with pink grapefruit tonic and rhubarb tonic & the rhubarb & ginger with rhubarb tonic just tops them all .The aloe and cucumber is quite refreshing, in the summer, esp for those that don’t like sweet gins .Although I like ginger, the lemongrass and ginger was not as I expected it to be .

Well this is different! I'm a fan of Whitley Neill gin, and couldn't resist a bottle of this when I saw it on offer (below £20).A straw colour, this gin is super sweet; there is an amazing punch of sweet fruit, predominantly pear, and this alone makes the gin rather unique. The closest I could compare it to is G'Vine, but this is a nicer gin. Pair carefully with tonic and drink this with plenty of ice, I would avoid forward tonics such as schweppes and contrary to my usual recommendations, I'd go for Fever Tree light, to balance the sweetness.Not a gin I would drink lots of, but very nice all the same and a welcome drink in the collection.

This is a gin that's great for aesthetics and pretty good for taste. The bottle is a gorgeous looking thing especially with the greeny/yellow gin inside. The colour of the gin also affects your G&T colour in a manner that is particularly pleasant to look at.My only qualm is that it only tastes great with a good tonic. With Fever Tree it was absolutely delicious whereas a slightly cheaper tonic water and it lost some of the quince flavour and ended up being rather bland. Also probably not a great gin for cocktails, but it would certainly give a martini an interesting under current of flavour and make it look a pretty cool colour.

Had this a couple of times and as others have said avoid if you want a dry gin however if you want something a bit sweeter, the quince with plain tonic and a slice of lime is very refreshing.I've bought the quince a few times but my most recent order from Amazon was a very curious colour. Contacted Amazon who immediately sent a new bottle but are asking me to pay for the return up front rather than sending a prepaid label which is odd (and annoying). The picture shows a comparison of both the original and replacement side by side - as you can see there's a distinct difference in colour (barcodes are the same).

What a nice bottle to grace anyone’s party ( Christmas bar ) or as a present for a loved one, or even when I get invited to a party the colour will make your bottle stand out from the crowd, I purchased this for my own Christmas party bar, or I might taste it tonight and order another one or two. One to keep and one to take to a party works do, and if I like it then it might be the one I always have for my own use at home. It arrived extremely quickly, if you like my review go on purchase a bottle or two you won’t be disappointed Merry Christmas 2017

Fabulous gin, and even having tried 25+ different gins recently, this is one I keep coming back to. Forget your lemon or lime garnishes, for a fantastic Whitley Neill G&T, take a high ball glass and drop a slice of orange at the bottom. Fill half way with ice, then put in a couple more wedges of orange. A couple of dashes of orange bitters (but no worries if you don't have bitters - this is almost as good without), pour ice to the top, then 50ml gin, topped up with chilled Fever Tree, and you have an amazing G&T with a really refreshing difference.

Like other Whitley Neal gins, this is quite sweet, but not as sweet of some in the range.If you like parma violet sweets - this is just the same, except it's gin (well, sort of). The wife and I disagree on this one, she thinks it's great, I say it's more of a gin liqueur and not a proper gin. It's fair to say that you do lose the sweetness in a good dry tonic (Like Fevertree's light or Mediterranean variants) but yo could easily drink it neat over ice if that's your sort of thing.You're now armed with the info, so make your own choice!

At first taste, its citrusy, followed by the exotic spice and warmth, and is overall very smooth and far too easy drinking. It leaves a trace of the spice behind, subtle and more earthy than at first taste. A traditional Gin & Tonic is normally served with Lemon or Lime. However with Whitley Neill I served it with slices of orange instead, with plenty of ice. The freshness and zing of the orange is very complimentary to the Gin and looks very attractive in the glass. I need to order another bottle !!

Lovely flavoured Gin!!! Only downside is it is so lovely it slips down nicely ?????.This was also the best price available at the time. My husband has recently started drinking flavoured Gin and he said this is is of his favourite's so far! We drank it with Lemonade rather then Tonic as I prefer flavoured Gin's with Lemonade or Sparkling water as I find the Tonics can over power the flavour of the guns. Although I do enjoy a regular gin with Tonic ( Elderflower Tonic).Highly recommend.

Very well balanced. Gin is a difficult one to get right with balancing a flavour with the gin, and I think WN has done very well. The gin flavour is at the front of the pallet with the raspberry towards the end of the pallet, and becomes more prominent in the aftertaste. The raspberry flavour in the gin isn't extremely pronounced but is noticeable, but more so in the aftertaste. All in all, very clean tasting with a great balance of high quality gin with a raspberry flavour.

Whitley Neill gin is the best there is, although some of their flavours are fairly weird.The Raspberry is beautiful though, tasty enough that it can be consumed straight from the bottle whilst lying in bed watching watching World War 2 documentaries.At 43%, it's a strong lad....so be prepared to miss most of your documentary as you slip in and out of drunken stupors, but as a clean and pure lad....you'll get little to no hangover.To sum up; buy it, it's good.
