This is astonishing. Having had Black Tomato gin - and I recommend that to any gin lover because it is so different and so delicious - I was open to the concept of a savoury gin. Rutte Celery Gin, however, surpassed all my (fairly high) expectations. I have tried it with Fever Tree Mediterranean tonic and with tomato juice and both drinks are beautiful. I would not try this with a standard tonic - of any brand - as I do not believe it would do the Celery Gin justice.I implore any gin lover to try this as a very different and instantly delightful expansion of your gin universe.

If you like the more modern contemporary gins, you'll love this. Try with Fever Tree low sugar tonic - about 50/50 - with ice and strips of celery garnish and a few twists of black pepper. Excellent.
