This one of several reviews I will be doing of various gins.I have something of a gin habit and rather geekily score gins for both g&t and martini on a spreadsheet (I mix 1:5 with a twist of lemon, well I don't mix it myself thats what husbands are for ) . I score out of ten and I give my go to gin (Bombay London) a 5 out of 10 to act as a baseline to judge against. We score more than once so I get an idea of how they taste over different times and occasions. Please remember these scores are personal and what I like you might not.So on to BrockmansG&T 8/10Martini 4/10The black textured bottle is very striking and would look good as a gift. The G and T is superb. You can really taste the berries in this gin and we serve it with blackberries for preference, but raspberries and blueberries are also good. I see that a few reviewers suggest pink grapefruit so I am keen to give that a try too.For the martini we have paired it both with Noilly Pratt and Tesco's own brand vermouth. In both the berry flavour was overpowering, but more so with the Tesco. The martini is not to our taste, not to say it won't be to yours.Whilst this isn't a cheap gin it is so good in a g&t it is definitely on our buy again list.

I first tried this at Mr Fogg's gin parlour in London, and I had to have a bottle of it! On the nose this has a huge hit of fruit - think alcoholic blackberry and you wouldn't be far wrong, and this translates right through the gin to a G&T. Therein is both it's strength and weakness; it's absolutely delicious, but the blackberry tends to overpower everything else.As a serve, I found blackberries or raspberries with 50ml gin and a 150ml can of standard fever tree and a big block of ice to be perfect. Brockmans own recommendation is grapefruit peel and blueberries and if anything I found this even better than the blackberries or raspberries.Overall this is very different to your typical gin,but it's a great addition to the drinks cabinet. Recommended.

A sweetish gin with a dominant note of Angelica over the other botanicals which gives its distinctly different flavour. I have tried lots of 'deluxe' gins, many of which are very similar in everything other than marketing. This gin is deliciously different and before you follow the lead of many who crush rasperies and blackberries etc or stick strange leaves in to 'enhance' the flavour, I suggest you try this gin with a good tonic and a standard slice of lemon or lime before you decide if you should adulterate it. It is really worth paying double the price of standard 70cl Gordons gin.

ProsAmazing takeTangy citrus flavourSmooth to drinkConsThere isn't enough in the bottle :-).I've been addicted to this Gin since I first tried it. I thought I had found my fav, but I was wrong, and this has replaced it.This gin certainly has a flavour which has a citrus one, but it's perfect. There is nothing harsh about this gin everything is smooth. This is a s but this doesn't affect the flavour, and once opened it won't be in the bottle long enough to need one.I highly rated this gin to anyone looking to take their gin drink to the next level.

Having scoured the web for this gin, I was impressed to find it on Prime. Although slightly pricier than on other sites, it worked out cheaper when taking postage costs into consideration. My partner (an ale aficionado) first tried this gin at the annual gin festival and fell in love. He would tell me of its liquorice undertones, how it was best enjoyed straight with a few raspberries and that the bottle was 'display shelf worthy'. Needless to say, I decided to buy him a bottle for his birthday. I think he likes it more than the surprise trip to Barcelona.

Ok here goes, I LOVE GIN!! BUT,,, At first I was not keen on this at all, actually thought I'd found a gin I didn't like,, shock horror!!! Personally didn't like it in a G&T, tried it neat to get the flavours but there's something amongst the flavours that I'm not too keen on. Tried it with blueberries etc and it was still a no from me, then I tried it with pink grapefruit juice and it's gorgeous.. in fact the rest of the bottle went quite quickly then.Just goes to show not all gins go with tonic, you've just got to find the right mixer.

I first tried this gin at a gin bar in a lucky dip selection, and it was very tasty.Unusual to most other gins that I have tried, but really very good.As I had enjoyed it so much, I decided to buy my dad a bottle as a gift, and being unable to find it in supermarkets was very happy to find it on amazon. After trying it my dad also very much enjoyed the taste. It is very refreshing, and extremely drinkable, and one of the smoothest gins I have tasted.Served with a 'fancy' tonic it has the feeling of a luxury gin.

This gin was recommended to me and I wasn't disappointed. Very smooth and for me personally there was undertones of forest fruits. Initially tasted over just over ice then mixed with fever tree which I felt overpowered the drink. I feel it's much better suited to a gin cocktail. Suggest serving over crushed ice, then mixing freshly squeezed lemon juice and sugar syrup in shaker with ice then strain into the glass, add something like creme du mure with a blackberry for garnish. Delish!

Brookmans is my go to Gin. I have to say.I first came across this, last year at a Gin Festival in London, and it blew me away. One of those lovely Gins, you can drink neat over ice, but for me, it really comes alive when you have 3 blueberries and a zest of a red grapefruit - obviously a really good tonic, is also recommended. My local pub, no stocks this because I've talked about it so much. It's now one of their best sellers. You will not be disappointed, with a Brockmans.

Bought this as a present for my dad. It's now his favourite gin. Not being a huge gin drinker myself, I was reluctant to try it at first but after I was coaxed in I could see exactly why he claimed this to be his favourite. It has a very sweet nose and has quite bold floral flavours on the palate. This is exceptionally well balanced with your traditional gin spices and herbs to produce a wonderful fruity aromatic gin. Would recommend to gin and non-gin drinkers alike.

I do like my Gins and have a good few bottles at home. I had this on my wish list for a while and decided to purchase a bottle with some gift vouchers I received for my birthday. My wife and I instantly liked this gin, which was served with a little bit of ice and a decent tonic water. Subtle hints of the berries and a nice subtle hint of the juniper. Not as dry as some Gins but a really nice drink. Would give this a solid 9.5 out of 10. You will not be disappointed.

This product has one of the strangest star profiles I have seen on Amazon reviews - 3 x 1; 1 x 2; 2 x 3; 4 x 4 and 106 x 5 - clearly a bit Marmite but light on the hate side. The wife and I love it - intense, deep flavour and a real surprise - unlike many of the reviewers, I cannot pin down exactly what flavours I get from it or which one or ones do it for me but who cares, it's just great. Not for everyday drinking for us but definitely for a regular treat.

You will need:Frozen RaspberriesFrozen BlueberriesBrockman's GinFavourite Tonic waterTake a high ball, and add a half-handful of frozen raspberries and half-handful of frozen blueberries.Add a gloip-gloip dose of Brockmans Gin (adjust for taste)Top up with your favourite Tonic Water. No need for ice since the fruit is frozen but it does defrost fast and mingles deliciously with the gin.Drink and toast my good health every time. :D

I came across Brockmans gin about 5 years ago and there are not so many places that you can easily get it so the opportunity to buy with a glass included for less than the normal cost of the bottle alone was too good to pass up!Really please with the way it was packaged when it arrived as well as the quality of the glass that was included. All round good value and taste would thoroughly recommend!

Got this on offer for £25 for 70cl. Yes, it's blackcurrant forward in its flavour profile, but is not as in your face as others have described (ie not as strong as a blackcurrant flavoured gin, such as Whitley Neill Blackcurrant. Works well with tonic and lemonade , add your own red Berry frozen fruits for garnish if you want, but it stands up on its own with just ice and a mixer.
