The Seagate ST1000VM002 was used to replace a failing original drive in a Humax DTR T1000 Youview box. Replacement is easy with the top cover being secured by three screws at the rear of the unit, the hard drive cradle secured by four further screws and the drive attached to the cradle with another four screws.Once installed you must access maintinence mode, procedure from youview.com below:1. Turn the power on using the switch found on the back of the set top box. A red light should appear on the front panel.2. Press and hold 'VOL -' button for 5 seconds until you see the “Enter Maintenance Mode Y/N (Y:POWER)” prompt. The box will flash a blue light.3. Press the Power button on the front of the box.4.

The standard 500GB drive in my Humax HDR-FOX T2 slowly decayed over a period of months, and then died. Insisting on Seagate drives (plus the standard drive was a Seagate), there was only one brand to aim for. This unit was the perfect price and doubled the capacity up to 1TB. The hummy can't really benefit from the increase in overall specification but a great AV drive nonetheless.

This hard drive is twice the size of the drive I had to replace. I was a bit doubtful that it would be okay. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, so I unplugged the existing faulty drive and plugged this one in. Went on to format option on my DVR and now have an operating CCTV system. Very happy!

This hard drive is outstanding, its the best i have used yet. Its hd capacity allowed me to create and reproduce cutting cristal clear multimedia. Its extremely quiet and instant with response time. Im am extremely impressed. Try for yourself, at its price it is a bargain.

I have now used this model to replace/upgrade the 500GB hard drives in two Humax PVRs:HDR-Fox-T2HDR-2000TMy first purchase (about 2 years ago) is still performing flawlessly.I am hoping that my second second purchase will turn out to be equally reliable.

This is a direct replacement I used in my Sky HD box and fitted and worked without issue. Saved me having to replace my sky box at probably much greater expense. Arrived in good time and packaged well.

Bought this to replace hard drive in Sky DRX890. Copied existing drive to new one. Put in sky box, and it found all scheduled recordings & series links. Seems to be working great. Plenty of space.

the hdd there is not much to say an orginary 5900 hdd 5900 so yes it is slow but loved it just for storage not for my boot lol fits easy in any case and the seller delivered it fast and promptly

Bought this 1TB Seagate Pipeline drive to replace and upgrade failing drive in Sky + HD box. Seems to have done the job perfectly, will update review if there are any issues.

I purchased this to replace a failing drive in a Humax HDR-Fox T2. The replacement procedure was pretty trivial and the drive has worked flawlessly since then.

Bought as a replacement for the standard drive in my Samsung Sky+ HD box - works great! Also a lot quieter and cooler running than the original.

Used to replace the 320G HDD in my Humax box. Very easy upgrade, took about 10 minutes, thanks to YouTube video.
