I got this device for Christmas the year it came out, 2018. The device itself with it's huge screen is amazing! I don't think I've even made one typing mistake with this device. The camera is outstanding and it even has a flash! And guess what, THEY HAVEN'T GOTTEN RID OF THE HEADPHONE PORT OR SD CARD SLOT! Samsung has something for everybody, while Apple is just trying to take your money. With a case and a screen protector, you're good to go for some time, despite the fact that this may not be the latest device anymore. Thank You Samsung.

I’m impressed with everything I was thinking about getting iPad but all friends suggested Samsung, this was the newest biggest one and I had a voucher to use.It holds battery, quick to load everything, quick to download apps and keyboard well placed. Camera is good, nothing is irritating, even the volume and off button has only caught me out twice when I first got it. Screen is clear and responsive. I didn’t need to buy a cover as a generic one from eBay does the job. Overall buy it I’m happy

This tablet is great for gaming, films, word processor, emails.....it has basically taken the job of my smartphone but it holds tons more storage and I can use it for college too!One of my concerns was the key board issue. If anyone is wondering the Samsung keyboard 10.5" does not fit this tablet There is currently no specific keyboard for this tablet but you can purchase bluetooth enabled keyboards for tablets for a small cost and work perfectly! I have been using it for the past 4 weeks

Operating system Samsung-ised, not so good if you like to customise and fiddle with settings, but good that it's based on Android 9 (Pie) so mostly up to date. No glitches or hiccups so far. Hardware is limited by a mid-range processor (1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450) but 3GB RAM helps a lot when things get chuggy. Best thing is relatively long battery life between charges, and fast charging. Samsung name bumps the price up, but fingers crossed it's the reliable choice. Good luck!

Having a Windows PC, I was unfamiliar with Android. No worries - it was easy to set up and link to the wi-fi on my BT hub. It's generally 'tilted' towards anything Google but this can be remedied by disabling any Google apps you prefer not to use and downloading others from the Play store to replace them. Comes with a 'quick charge' USB plug but can be connected to a PC or laptop to charge/transfer files. Links nicely to my Sky Q allowing me to watch live sport and downloads in the bath!

Really pleased with this tablet. Normally I’m an avid apple fan but after my iPad Pro of 1 year decided to frazzle itself I was reluctant to purchase another due to poor customer service from apple. I bit the bullet and went for this tablet. Amazingly surprised and so happy. It even has some extra features that the pro doesn’t. Shame you can’t control the volume by the touch screen but not really a huge problem. I’ll be looking at the Samsung phone when my iPhone gives up.

I use it mainly for doodling* on but also general interweb activities;YouTube,Twitter,emails,the odd game,etc. Previous tab died suddenly one morning so got this as replacement. Is basically just an upgrade from previous Galaxy Tab A;fractionally larger screen,more memory,upgraded internal.....bits! Simple and easy to use. Crisp,clear screen. I'm not very "techy" so I'm sure this is probably quite basic,but it does what I need of it! (*For general use,not graphics based.)

I bought this tablet to replace my previous Samsung TabPro which though dtill working was over 5 years old running on an early android operating system. I couldn't afford the like for like replacement model so after research chose this model. Very very pleased with performance, screen quality, this more than adequately meets my needs. I use the tablet for research and study, reading books and streaming catch up tv. Very happy and would recommend to others.

Not had a samsung for quite a few years now, but I am very impressed with this item, its build, design and battery life have all impressed me, but its the huge 10.5 screen with its impressive picture quality and the sharp and crispness in photo's that now make me believe Apple are being caught and surpassed. Android technology has vast improved that I chose this over an Ipad and that I think says it all, go and buy you will not be dissapointed at all.

Great little tablet (Id read all the Which reviews and knew it was rated well). A good all rounder for us- something I can read recipes from or watch Tv when cooking and my son can use to play learning games. My only gripe, it’s not as responsive as I would have expected (I have to press a few times sometimes for it to register it) and There doesn’t appear to be as many learning apps on here. The latter is a minor issue compared to the cost of an IPad

I bought this for my son as an upgrade for his old tablet. I looked around at reviews and prices of other tablets and having had samsung phones before decided to take the plunge on this one. My son loves it it is compatible with other android phones which makes sharing data easy and has a very good sized screen. I would recommend it as a next step tablet but also a good sized tablet for anyone who is on a budget or not after a top of the range model.

I bought this for my 96 year old mother-in-law so that she could take Skype calls from members of the family. I was doubtful whether she would get the hang of it or want to use it. We set it up so that she couldn't mess up any of the settings and so that a call came straight through to the screen so all she had to do was press 'Accept or 'Decline' the call. I'm pleased to say that it has been a great success and she is happily chatting away!

Tablet is just brilliant. Very fast and easy to use. Really good sound and graphics. I would recommend it but there's a one thing that could be different:speakers as I'm holding it when playing games speakers on bottom left and right are covered by my hands as it is only way I can play comfortable.Anyway it's not a big issue as tablet have 4 speakers.2 on left site top and bottom and 2 on right site.Overall 9.5/10.well done Samsung .

This is a good size mid-range tablet which is reasonably fast for its price. However, the screen could have been of a better quality as certain videos and images can be pixelated at times. The screen is a little dull (but expected) at times when compared to other Samsung AMOLED screens. Also, the lack of physical home and back buttons needs getting used to. Slightly on the heavier side but overall satisfied with the purchase.

This is my fourth tablet, my first, an Asus was brilliant and is still working great but is outdated and Asus don't seem to be making tablets anymore. The 2nd and 3rd were at the lower end of the budget scale and didn't live up to expectations. This tablet is great. It boots up quickly, is much sharper looking and it is just so much better in so many ways. Sometimes you really do get what you pay for, lesson learned.
