Excellent Polartec alpha and good performance from salewa, I think it’s not enough for severe colds even as a second layer, but I think it’s quite suitable for -10 degrees Celsius in combination with good thermal underwear and softshell or hardshell. Alpha 40 I think more for the off-season or warm winter. Good with softshel. Very compact. Of the minuses, the lack of such an obvious opportunity to pack a jacket in your own pocket, and the lack of a puff from the bottom. Also, the jacket length is a little excessive for the second layer and, in my opinion, the collar is not high enough.

It is excellent for daily use, although the treatment against water is not the best, it provides heat, it is very small and I have found it ideal for occasional winter outings.
