Before the review, a plea: if you like rugby, like videogames, and are lucky enough to have the money, please buy this game. Why? Because rugby games will *only* get better if the companies that publish them make money, and therefore will afford to invest more money in making them. Why are FIFA games so good these days? Because EA can afford to perfect and polish with a new big-budget release every year, knowing that they'll get their money back.Anyway, on with the review....This game is nowhere near as bad as some people here are making out. Previous rugby games have been pretty much unplayable due to failure in two areasi) tackling - it quite impossible to individually control a defensive line consisting of several players,

It is the best rugby game I ever played.The menue music is nice and you will get a world cup atmosphere.It is easy to understand the menue options, the handling and the gameplay. Much more better than FIFA!Nice moves and different trys.As beginner you can directly play with beginner moves and as advantage you can try extended moves.The stadium are also nice to see.Only the animation graphics and the players could be better, because of this 505 loose a star for world rugby cup.UPDATE:The online gameplay was verry poor.But with the fix on 2011/08/31 now it works good.

The game was a very good game to play but was very similar to the previous rugby 08. There were many good features and i enjoyed the rucking guage that give ls the game a little bit more realism. One problem was the lack of any club teams and also the kits only work online and in the world cup modes.Overall the game is very good even with its small draw backs. One thing that i was not impressed with was that the producers had made the game over 4 years it had only realy improved by 2 years, WHAT WERE THEY DOING!

I bought this game for my nephews 11th birthday as he is rugby mad. I'd read some dubious reports about how good this game was so I wasn't sure if he would like it. I shouldn't have worried - he loves it. Like everything it is down to the person that is playing it and the age of them. On that basis I would recommend it.I couldn't believe how fast the game was delivered - very impressed.

Purchased this game for my seven year old rugby mad son, was a little apprehensive regarding some of the negative reviews about the game play, but he loves it and has played it over and over again. The different difficulty settings has made it easy for him to learn and feel confident in attempting more complex play. well worth the money spent

I bought this game for my new ps3 console because I like playing rugby in real life. This games graphics are brilliant and it has all the features of a real rugby match. I was really pleased when I bought this, it's thumbs up from me.

This game should not receive all the bad reviews it has. Its actually not that bad, graphs are OKAY, probably similar to FIFA 09 and gameplay is pretty good and over all this game is a lot of fun!!

Great game, easy to handle. Some of the facial graphics need the same treatment done by EA sports however. Also shame that the All-Blacks are not here. That is a draw back

Bought this for my son and he was so happy. Although he is 'call of duty' mad he has played this and is a massive rugby fan, so this went down well with him.

its a very fun game the graphics are something to be desired but i have had it for a day now and i cant get off of it!A great game for any rugby fan

Bought this for my 13 year old nephew for his birthday and then again for my 15 year old son for Christmas. Both think that it is brilliant.
