It is just what I wanted, compact, light and sturdy, so much so that I can take it with me on my holidays abroad when weight and size are very important for the luggage restictions. I've used it with my Canon EOS 5ds with a Tamron 70-200 lens, that are quite weighty, on limited occassions and it has functioned well. The tripod fits within my camera bag/rucksack and because of it's diminutive size and weight I find I am more willing to carry it around with me on my trips and walks.It is well made, versatile and was well priced, so far so good. I'm going to New Zealand in a couple of weeks time and will be giving it more use there, so will soon find out if my first impressions remain valid.

This is a really neat piece of kit, appears well made (although I've only had mine since last Christmas, so a little early to comment on long-term durability). Used mostly with my Olympus OM film cameras, including occasionally a pretty-heavy 300mm Zuiko.My usual tripod is a trusty Slik 88, but this Rollei is less than half the length when packed, and a great deal lighter, so this is the one that goes travelling with me these days.(Oh, and the orange finish looks superb!)

Needed a lightweight compact tripod for a night hide session where there will be no opportunity to use AF, plus occasional low light work. Otherwise don't usually need a tripod. The Rollei is very good in this context and gets set up very quickly. Ball head works smoothly but can be dragged down when a long lens is used. Only real caveat is that the mounting plate on the lens ring does has a habit of working loose when you carry the set up with the tripod attached.

Make no mistake, this tripod has a very good quality. It comes with an extra plate and tools, is study, very well engineered, nothing is wobbling of moving, the screws are nice and the rubbers as well.However, the Red color is actually more pink, and the carrying bag it comes in is a joke, essentially a little nylon pouch with strings.For a cheaper price, you can get lighter tripods with a better bag, yet still good quality. But this one IS GOOD!

Very nice compact tripod. A little heavier than expected but still light enough to be easily portable. Seems very well put together and very sturdy for such a compact tripod. The legs are quick and easy to extend and contract. Head very solid with no 'slop' when locked and nice and smooth when loosened. Don't be put off by the orange colour as 'in the flesh' it's not as bright as it looks. Great tripod.

Bought to travel to Iceland with. Very light, extremely compact and complete with arca swiss compatible ballhead.Obviously not as sturdy as a full size tripod but stable, and has a hook on the bottom to hang your bag to stablize it a bit more ( but not needed unless windy )Held my Canon 7d mk2 with battery grip and 70-200 canon zoom for long exposures no problem.

For the money you cannot beat it.there was no visible marks as it came from Amazon warehouse,the tripod is very sturdy ,light and compact,fully adjustable a pleasure to use easy to configure for different angle and positions,the quick release head is small but ridged,everything just perfect,I would buy another again without hesitation.

After viewing many travel tripods at the Photography Show l realised this was by far the best and it would hold a large Canon slur l use. Came away without a purchase and when l got home I realised l should have bought it .As usual Amazon came up with the goods and cheaper than Rollei themselves were discounting it on their stand .

Love it, well made, great single action control for the ball, very light but strong packs to 33cm, will go in a ruck sack easily and probably a despatch bag. It is, however,florescent metallic pinky lilac in colour and NOT red, not RED as I know it ! Probably why it was £20 off, still a bargain at £50 odd quid though.

Many pars above cheap tripods. This is a very versatile and sturdy tripod. it includes a hanging hook to hang something, providing further stability through weight. The tripod folds down to a very manageable size and includes bag for carrying.

Lightweight. TickCheap. Tick.Only downsides are the fixed center column and the sturdiness but that isn't really the tripods fault of you want lightweight above all else.Cheap enough that it can go in the suitcase without fear.

Lovely and compact, perfect for travelling but sturdy enough for my bridge camera. Recommend a little WD40 on the leg springs to make them easier to move but once I'd done that was great. Worth paying the extra for in my opinion

Sturdy as fcuk!! Folds into ridiculously small size. If you want to spend an extra buck to avoid plastic builds... look no further! A must have for the adventure photographer!

Seems really good, feels stable, folds small, looks like it has a quality build. Holds my canon 6d with 50mm lens, I think it can hold more weight easily.

This tripod fitted really well in my camera bag and was is to clear customs in England and the USA with no trouble at all due to its size and weight
