Ok guys/gals who read this I would just like to 1st warn you to not listen to all the negative IGNorant reviews out there of this great game. Yes the 1st 3 letters of ignorant are IGN and yes I am taking a dig at IGN for continuously trashing games that I and many others have found thoroughly enjoyable and fun!So here we have another Resident Evil title but with a different style than usual. We all know that R.E games are evolving towards the 3rd person action/horror genre and this title proves that it works. At first when I started digging up all the details on Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City I dreaded the idea of Capcom bringing in Slant 6 Games (The developers of the PS3 game 'Socom: Special Forces'which is in fact a great game in itself) in to work on this spin off/re-telling/alternative perspective of the Raccoon City events from Resident Evil 2 and 3. But after having an open mind to this different take on a R.E title I'm glad that I pre ordered and gave this game a chance despite mixed to negative reviews from so called game critics because the majority of those 'critics' seem to be living in the past rather than the future of gaming. The presentation on this game is pretty cool, I dove straight into multiplayer mode to check out the interesting modes and I got into games real easy and it has matchmaking which finds other players easily. The servers are great actually and I have not really come across any problems other than expected issues with new games like minor lag etc but thats not necessarily down to the servers at all and may just be yours or the hosts connection depending at how fast your broadband is. Online is really addictive , me and my friends who also bought the game on release have been playing none stop to rank our players up to buy new weapons and abilities for each of the character types with earned XP. You have a choice of 6 characters from each faction I.E 6 Umbrella Special Forces soldiers and 6 Government Spec Ops. Theres also characters from previous Resident Evil games on the 'Heroes Mode' which pits the heroes against the villians from RE2 and RE3. On the online modes while facing off against other player opponents you also have zombies and other mutations attacking both teams which adds more excitement and feeling of impending death which forces you to constantly be on the move and work together if you want to succeed. It gets pretty crazy but Its all out action that keeps you on your toes and after the match ends you really feel you've been in an intense battle for survival which I and fellow players thoroughly enjoyed. Its addictive thats for sure! Now the single player/Co-op campaign is pretty awesome too. The graphics are good , there is great atmosphere especially when played with a surround sound headset which is key to feeling like you are in a game (contrary of what some reviewers have said is 'missing') and the controls are pretty fluid which I expected from the developer of 'SOCOM: Special Forces' as the controls scheme was great on that game too. I thought the auto cover mechanic wasn't going to work and dreaded it would be annoying but the pace of the game actually suits this mechanic, being able to run up against a wall will put you in cover even if it is only waist high which is great as you don't have to fumble with the buttons to activate the move. The fluid movement is great for firing from the hip, the guns sound great and feel good too, you have the obvious recoil from fully firing an automatic weapon but if you have a brain you will fire in short effective bursts to keep accuracy to its highist as you will need to against all enemies in this game. Unless you really pop zombies in the head with the 1st few shots they do take alot of bullets to put down as you can blow their arms off and they still run at you and wont stop attacking until you destroy their brain. The A.I of the enemies is clumsy at times for example I had zombies run right past me and go for fellow team mates which is pretty hilarious but when your having fun things like this dont really bother me. But on theother hand if I did have soe constructive criticism for this game it has to be your allies A.I if not playing with a full 4 player co-op team, the computer controlled players are clumsy and do get in your way/line of fire at times which when playing on harder difficulties is very frustrating. The set pieces of the levels are pretty cool nd the flow of the gameplay and story works pretty well. There is 7 chapers in the campaign and after each one you get graded on performance which leads to experience points being gained to rank up skills the same as online, more ponts get awarded for completing tasks and picking up collectables along the way. It also contributes to your player level on and offline which is helpful as if you do struggle online you can replay campaign missions to earn XP and strengthen your player abilities like body armour etc.Over all I am satisfied with paying full price for this title and highly recommended it to new and old Resident Evil fans as its highly enjoyable on and offline co-op or single player. It has tons of replay value and I havent put it down since it was released last week. Every game has its upsides and downsides but you need to be open minded when huge titles such as the Resident Evil franchise taking this new directions in gameplay styles as to be honest people moan because the franchise has evolved into the 3rd person shooter genre but guarantee these same people would still be moaning if the franchise was still into the slow fixed camera angle gameplay! Take reviews with a pinch of salt especially if they are bad ones because at the end of the day its the opinion of one person and just because someone says its bad its probably because they are pretty bad at it themselves, plus they also are probably into different games as the one the review.Dont be narrow minded or a sheep, buy or rent this game and make your own opinion of it because at the end of the day that is the one that counts! Not a guy who only has a certain amount of time to write how THEY feel whats good and bad about it.I hope you find this helpful and buy this game. See you on the battlefield! :DOverall I give 'Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City' a solid 7/10

While it's easy to look back at the original Resident Evil trilogy and Resident Evil 4 and say "gaming gold" . . . the series has had some ups and downs since then and Operation Raccoon City looked to be offering something new and fresh to the original shock horror series. But with mixed reviews and some resentment...can this game be anything other than a stepping block before the recently unveiled RESI 6?I'm on my third play-through of the game in single player mode and I have sampled a few of the online modes too. To say I am a die hard Resi fan would be OTT but the original trilogy was amazing and to be part of a storyline that revolves around Resi 2 and 3 is pretty damned awesome.O: RC is not a perfect game but it does offer a decent blend of action and spouts nostalgia for us fans of the first three games. Familiar faces and enemies appear regularly and the blood spilling never really lets up. This is a pure Zombie/BOW killing game that doesn't try to be anything else. I think a lot of fans may have been expecting a more traditional Resi experience but think more along the lines of Gears Lite and you are in the same ballpark. At the start of the game you are introduced to the Wolf Pack, part of Umbrellas' security force. They are en-route to an Umbrella research facility, currently under the supervision of William Birkin who is responsible for the G-Virus. By this point you will have picked your character, of which there are six available, each boasting different passive and active skills. All abilities can be upgraded three times by earning experience. All experience is carried between single player and online play and can also be used to unlock new weapons. There are quite a few - something for everyone - so it keeps the interest up in trying different modes of play to unlock everything and get those achievement points. The first mission has you working along side Hunk, the guy in swat gear from Resi 2. All the events and gameplay lead up to the outbreak, chronicled at the start of Resi 2. And from that point you see the story, which runs along side Resi 3, from the point of view from the Wolf Pack. It's a short romp but an enjoyable one.At all times you have three squad mates with you but take it from me they serve as nothing more that bullet fodder if you leave it up to the AI. Although they did seem to be more responsive on the harder and master difficulty settings. Obviously some people are going to be cursing the AI but I took it in my stride and managed a full run through without any casualties...yes it is possible but it takes a bit of tact and planning. Just bare in mind that you have no control over your squad it isn't like Mass effect. You can heal your team though with the use of first aid sprays, and if they become infected you can use anti-virals to treat them and stop the infection transforming them into a Zombie. The action kicks off quickly in this game with a mixture of human special forces and the Zombies. You can take cover, which does work if done correctly, offering you the chance to blind fire, take up a new position etc etc I have heard many people complaining that the enemies are bullet sponges but I have not had this problem , or rather I haven't had any complications with the amount of ammo used on enemies. I generally try to get headshots and the damage boast is extremely effective, especially if you are sporting a top of the range Sniper rifle. It is satisfying to kill the Zombies, hands down. You can also get up close and personal and melee attack your foes which often results in a special execution move - usually depending on who you are. This is pretty cool too and gives you a sense of uber eliteness. After all you are part of Umbrellas top security force. Also your team really gets stuck into the melee often and its satisfying to seem them slicing and dicing too.You wont be slicing and dicing all of the time though as some of the more deadly of Umbrellas' monsters make an appearance. Hunters, Lickers and Tyrants. Yes they do take a bit more firepower and tact to take down but it is manageable to do with the right approach and with the right perks.Maybe that is the main charm of the game for me. Skulking around and exploring familiar Resi locations, taking time to plant head shots, clearing rooms with grenades, activating my characters special power (Predator style cloaking), creeping up behind enemies and executing them in style. This game is not broken in any sense of the word - it's a solid action game with some cool touches and neat perks. If you play in Co-op mode with a fully upgraded squad then it all comes together as you clinically move through the game and put down all resistance. Although I still enjoy playing through on Single player - there are cameras to destroy, data to collect and Raccoon City Mascots to find. Each level boasts different collectibles so multiple play throughs may be required to find them all.So maybe this game is not what everyone was expecting but its getting some serious attention off me and I'm happy to keep playing until I have achieved my 1000 points of completion. With free DLC on its way introducing Jill Valentine, there would appear to be quite a bit of life in this. The game stays true to Resident Evil and is very enjoyable. The graphics are acceptable, the sound is acceptable, the gameplay is pretty good and like I already said there is nothing wrong with this title. Worth a look, especially if you love Resident Evil.8/10

I confess I bought Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City only after reading about how bad it was. Truly, this game has received such a negative press, I could not help feeding my curiosity, so after watching a few YouTube gameplay videos to see what it looked like (and concluding it looked alright), I bought it.The truth is, there are two ways of approaching this game:(i) If you are a die-hard Resident Evil fan, then it is likely you will approach Operation Raccoon City with certain preconceptions in mind about what Resident Evil is all about. For me personally, RE is all about atmosphere. There is something distinctly "Resident Evil-esque" about a game which makes it deserving of carrying the RE title, which is why I did not complain when Resident Evil 4 operated that revolution in gameplay that proved to be a great success for Capcom. In this respect, Operation Raccoon City may be somewhat lacking: firstly, the side-story of the game itself is not well developed. Put simply, you learn nothing knew in the course of the game about what happened in 1998 in Raccoon City. There is little or no relation with the main title series story-line. The characters are also fairly obscure: you know nothing of them (except a summary of their abilities), and it is unlikely you will develop any sympathy for them as you progress. Of course, there are sporadic direct references to Resident Evil 2 and 3 (the presence of zombies, I suppose), but most of the time you will simply be crossing levels, shooting militia men and zombies, and it will not be necessarily apparent to you that this is a Resident Evil game. This is unfortunate, because had the hypothethical scenario and its characters been explored and narrated with a little more detail, and connected with the main story-line of the second and third titles, it could have shed new lights on the events of Resident Evil 2 and 3, and it would have made Operation Raccoon City deserving of being a true RE game spin-off. In this regard, the game is a huge disappointment: it's just an action-shooter like any other.(ii) The foregoing does not, however, imply that this is a bad game. It may be disappointing in that it lacks atmosphere, but, in my opinion, it is still a good and fun action-shooter. If you approach this game from a perspective of the neutral gamer, in my opinion, you will not be so harsh on it. Of course, people are absolutely right when they complain of the AI, both of your team members and opponents, but it is by no means an obstacle to enjoyment and in all honesty I have to say I have seen a lot worse. There are also a few glitches here and there - not many, and certainly not enough to notice and cause great frustration. Aside from those points of criticism, this game is a blast. It's a fun, and at times intense and exhilarating shooting game. Remove the Resident Evil tag on the box, and you have a good, albeit flawed, gaming experience. It may not be the best action game you will ever play, but if you approach it with a free mind, I don't think you will necessarily regret spending nearly £40 on this.In conclusion, I concede that, from the perspective of a RE fan, this game is a major disappointment. Operation Raccoon City fails to develop what may have been an interesting side-story, from Umbrella Corp.'s perspective. As such, it lacks a distinctively RE-branded atmosphere. And I suppose that, being a pure shooting/action game, that in itself will disappoint those who loved especially the relatively slow pace of RE 1, 2 and 3. I think RE fans have a fair point when criticising this game for what it is. On the other hand, Operation Raccoon City is really not that bad an action game. Seriously, there is so much worse out there. The graphics are very good, the gameplay is totally accessible, and although it may lack in Resident Evil atmosphere, it is a bad-ass game in its own ways and therefore fun and entertaining.I do think you could enjoy this, if you are a casual gamer or someone who has never been steeped in Resident Evil originalist/traditionalist ideology. Consider either buying it now, if you have the cash; otherwise, wait for it to drop in price, say about £20-£25 or lower, and then get it.

Relax guys its only game! I am HUGE resident evil fan, since Resi Evil one, and I even saved up my pocket money as a wee lad to buy the directors cut! I loved every game in the series, however before you go thinking this has got the thumbs up just because i will click like on anything with resident evil in the title, I hated those train line style shooter ones and resident evil 5 was a disgusting travesty to the series that needs taking up behind the barn and shooting (old yella style). RE:Op RC offers up a new side to the resident evil story to see what was going on behind the scenes of resi two and three. I would like to look at some of the criticisms this game has received so far and address them:"Its too Dark"..yes it is and something should have been done about this"the cover system doesnt work"... I actually find it pretty intuitive and most of the time you need cover and therefor sticking to it automatically is a bonus"the guns are underpowered and the baddies are bullet sponges"... erm.. its called a head shot on normal mode I have been dropping them with pretty much every gun i pick up with a few head shots. Also they are zombies.. you want a bit of "oh my god im shooting them in the chest and they just keep coming!!" moments. I saw one major named reviewer saying "if you bring anything to the william burkin fight other than a high powered pistol then forget it!".. you arent meant to kill him.. its a stall and run effort that is very entertaining.. if you killed him this would not sink with the resi evil 2 story!!"theres a lack of ammo"... dont know what game you are playing matey.. but every baddie i drop, drops a brand new fully loaded gun and then there are pirate style treasure chests of the stuff in every fourth room. Also lets no forget in most of the original series you faced a dilemma of.. "should I drop this zombie? I only have 4 bullets. will that even do it? lets try and sneak past"... those were the days :)"The AI is crap"... yes it is.. however this can be easily remedied with these things called "friends". "friends" (sometimes referred to as "mates", "chums", "buddies" or even "bros") can increase any gaming experience 10 fold. Also even when you do have dunce AI team mates.. at least you get to do the killing!! im sick of games where AI team mates steal half my kills!Overall.. could this resi evil have been better? yes and it should have been. On paper this game had game of the millennium written all over it but a few issues definitely bring it down several notches. Is it a fun game with potential multiplayer enjoyment? from the 2 hours or so I have played.. most definitely. This game is both fun and enjoyable. For all you people panning it and saying it has no redeemable features.. get back on CoD you have only prestiged 12 times and your clan misses you... get back on quick!!

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City has to be one of the best Zombie themed games I have ever played. The game (which is set between Resident Evil 2 & 3) ties up a lot of answers, like how did Carlos get separated from Nicalli and escape the plans which saw the rest of his team, mascaraed. The game is not Challenging. Boss' are pretty easy to defeat, even on Professional difficulty, and the Achievements come as you play, you don't really have to do much to get them. However, the story line (also having the Echo Six Mission packs) you get to see it from both sides, the USS and Echo Six Special Operatives. USS (Umbrella Security Service) Delta Team, codenamed 'Wolfpack'are sent into Raccoon City to destroy Umbrella Information which has been left behind during the scramble to escape the infection, however, the squad are faced with complications which leads the player on the edge of their seat with twists and turns and a few jumps. During the Echo Six (Echo Six Special Operatives) campaigns which are 800MS points each from the Xbox Live Marketplace, sees the player, being a punished by the decisions they themselves made whilst playing as the USS. Although the paths of the USS 'Wolfpack' and Echo Six Spec Ops never personally cross, you walk similar paths and visit the same places, seeing the devastated and zombified population that stumble the Raccoon City streets. This third person shooter, as I have said previously, is not challenging, but enjoyable. I find myself always going back to it to clean the streets as both the USS and Echo Six. The different types of player that you can play as and the fact the campaign is 4 player co-op, never see's me play the game the exact same way twice. Only down points to this game are; The Multiplayer. The spawning is horrific. For instance, Echo Six will spawn at the opposite corner to the USS players/Heroes, but if one of the sides players manages to get into the others spawn, 'Spawn Camping' is taken to a new level. I have numerously seen myself fall victim to spawning in front of an enemy player and instantly getting slaughtered. Definitely not a fan of the multiplayer. Only problem with the campaign (both USS and Echo Six) is the Artificial Intelligence. If you don't play along side friends, you find the AI standing around looking lost and bewildered and getting themselves incapacitated in a situation which could have been easily avoided if Capcom and Slant Six had focused on the personalities of the AI to make them much more helpful in situations where you need to be tactical, which is the majority of the game.Overall, this is a must play game for any fan of zombie games, just make sure your have friends to play with and level up in the campaign before even attempting to take on players online.4 Stars, must play, GREAT GAME!

Being a long term fan of the RE series, when I first started playing this, I was disappointed, but I stuck with it. It's not actually that bad when held against some of the other RE games (*ahem* 6). The three things that let this down are 1) the team: you cant direct them so they constantly get in trouble and need rescuing, or they feck off and you need rescuing (oddly enough, this just reminded me of Outbreak File 1 on the PS2). 2) the guidance cursor is so ineffective, half the time I got lost and ended up dying more because I was trying to find the path marker than from actual combat.I loved the reverse in viewpoint, how we can now play as Umbrella soldiers, see the story from their side.It was interesting, but 3) the combat, while intense, was a little too dominant in the game, making this ultimately another Call of Duty - esque game dominating the industry, therefore lacking and sacrificing a hard, clever and intriguing story development for gun-toting, gung-hoing, adrenaline boosting tooth and claw fighting - which, fundamentally, is not what RE is about, but, held against some other modern RE's, this is, in my opinion, more of a linear hit than an unfathomable, **** poor miss like 6 (which had limited action, no story and long, boring cut scenes).Overall, its an action packed shoot 'em up, a bit like Survivor, just not in the first person. I enjoyed it but some RE fans may not. It was a fresh take that, in my opinion, could work for other RE games but only if the intensity of combat was separated by more story developing intervals (imagine the chilling story of RE crossed with the action in this - if done *right* it could work). The thing I loved about this game (>>>SPOILER HERE<<<) was the return of Nikolai, the Umbrella Merc renegade. I always liked him, even if he was the bad guy.Capcom need to understand - nay, the game industry needs to understand - that though Call of Duty is popular, not all games should be modelled on it. If people wanted to play CoD, they would buy CoD. They don't want to play CoD, they want to play RE, which means chilling story, mind numbing puzzles, run-to-the-bathroom-after-viewing-zombie-chewing-on-STARS-member-in-dark-creepy-corridor moment suspense scenes. In conclusion, I say enjoy this game for what it is without being too judgemental of what RE used to be and what it is now. If people, especially long term RE fans can push aside old familiarities for a moment, I think they would enjoy the story in this. It does have one but, as mentioned, the CoD-esque action overshadows it a bit.

Too many reviews for this game say "I've been a fan since RE X" and then give it a low rating because it's not a survival horror game.I've been a fan since Resident Evil 1, it was the first game I bought on playstation and is still one of my favourite games of all time. This game is nothing like the other resident evil games in terms of gameplay so I don't even bother trying to compare them. The gameplay is a 3rd person action game style, although a lot of people have complained that it's not very "resident evil like" I think it works well. Traditionally Resident Evil gives you a small amount of zombies to take on at a time, in raccoon city however there are far more zombies, which makes sense considering you're in the middle of a city. The third person action style lets you take on hordes of zombies which you just wouldn't be able to do with the traditional control scheme.Along with the hand to hand finishers and the fact you're playing as Umbrella operatives it's a new experience in the resident evil universe and one that I really enjoyed. The different abilities from each character makes your choce of character change how you play. I played a lot of the game solo with the AI, which has some problems, playing missions with friends is the strong point of the game and makes it a lot more fun to play. The game takes place around the time of resident evil 2 and the first misison will remind those who played RE2 of the opening video. Throughout the game you'll also travel through recognizable areas around raccoon city such as the warehouse and clock tower from RE3.To put operation raccoon city in context with the other RE games, the earlier resident evil games were like the first hour of a zombie horror film, lots of sneaking around terrified about what could be around the next corner. Operation Raccoon City is like the last 30 mins of a zombie film, the zombies are breaking in and you have to fight like mad to survive!I'd recommend this game to anyone who likes zombie games and doesn't instantly think a game is bad because it isn't what they thought it should be.

First things first this game is under-rated by all these game websites you have out there. They are talking out of their asses. In all it is a good game with a lot of ideas still open to use.Gameplay: Easy to get the hang of the controls, first level acts as a rather intense training level while still part of the overall story. Some of the buttons could be in other places as i've used a first aid spray when i wanted to switch to my sidearm. Easy mistake but the more you play it the easier it is to deal with.Graphics: All i can say is that it brings the Resident Evil story to life, Raccon City is very well recreated. Only downside is the whole blood splatted across the screen when you get hit a few times in a row.Story Mode: A bit iffy. Its possible to do by yourself but it is challenging at moments, and you will swear at the game a few times. But able to do it in under five hours on just the USS team, a whole other story will be aviable in a few weeks so its going to be a lengthy amount of playing. But co-op will bring out the best of the story mode and it is online as well so you dont have to wait for your friends to buy it.Multiplayer: Brutal is all i can say. Still a bit buggy at the moment but what games multiplayer isnt now-adays. But it is enjoyable, impossible to camp, random spawn points in your own starting areas and zombies dont care who they try to eat, or hunters.Best advice is keep moving, keep your finger on the trigger and don't forget where your standing (You can get caught on fixed objects sometimes)In all this is a good game. 7/10, hoping to be higher once new DLC is brought out, and lets face it there are a lot of different views inside Raccon City and would be interesting to see them done. Hope that they bring out different story lines such as Raccon City police or from the Umbrella merc's that are in Nemesis. So if your a Resident Evil fan this isnt a bad spin off from the usual style of the series, if your not a fan then this is still a decent buy for fast paced action

This is a great game for all resident evil fans out there. I been waiting for this game for a long time and I am glad I got it, there is a lot of bad reviews out there from the reviewers due to poor AI, poor weapons and poor lighting in the game.To be honest I don't know what they are talking about, I purchased the game and there was a 1.01 patch straight away (I am not sure if this patch fixed those above problems or not) but the AI works well, they heal me when I am in trouble they do from time to time get caught in fire traps or trip-wire bombs but not all the time, they act just like other players. There are some times when an enemy takes a while to take down with weaker weapons but with good aim you can defeat them. There was a lot of of Resident Evil 2 references in the game which is great for the RE fans out thereThe multiplayer (which I wasn't expecting any in this game) is really well balanced and good fun with about four modes to choose from. Matchmaking works well can be a bit slow but is stable. My only point against the game is that the single player is a bit short (around 5-6 hours, which a lot of games these days are short) with only seven missions but there is more missions on the way as DLC which you get the first one for free on the 11th april which is a spec ops missions where you help Jill Valentine against the Nemesis which sounds great, plus there is lots of replay value as the missions are great fun, plus lots of difficulty modes and achievements to try and get S+ rating etc and of course you can team up with other players too.I am really glad I got this game and I wouldn't listen too much to the reviewers (IGN, gamespot etc) as they must of had a pre-launch copy or something cause all the bugs they are talking about I haven't seen in the game which I have completed.

i always considered myself as a true resident evil fan, from the early days to modern sequels. but now after reading the mixed (leaning on negative) reviews on this game, its clear to me that TRUE fans dont like this game..... ????????this baffles me, as i seem to enjoy it!! is there something wrong with me?I got this game on an 'impulse buy', when i was put RESIDENT EVIL 6 in my basket, i noticed this game pop up and thought id check it out. i was hesitent on getting it on release because of what i read about this game, but for £17 i took the plunge expecting it to be an average/poor shooter.first impressions were strange at first, music was different, menu screen too.then when i selected campaign where you get to choose one of six umbrella agents, choose weapons etc, then go through a cinematic mission briefing before the game starts. straight away i felt comfortable with this SOCOM/RAINBOW SIX feel and liked it, and from then on ive been playing it ever since. im about halfway through the game and find its a fun (but repetitive) shooter.yes it has little bugs here and there, the AI is clumsy at times, but i would never say this game sucks. i think the problem lies with the fact its a squad based shooter, and that fans didnt want a squad shooter, they wanted another resident evil 5 but with playable umbrella soldiers!! people who like ghost recon, rainbow six or the socom games will appreciate this game more.and as for the fans stressing how this is the most awful resident evil ever, they obviously never played 'RE-dead aim' or 'RE-outbreak' on the ps2.so it seems if your a RE fan that only cares about the scares, atmostphere, and the feel of RE4 and RE5,then i suggest you ignore this game and go with the new

Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City offers gamers and fans of the series a new gaming perspective working for the Umbrella. Most reviewers are complaining that this instalment is not a Resident Evil game. Wrong. Here we have series favourites; Jill, Claire, Carlos, Ada, Nemesis, Tyrant, Lickers, Zombies dogs etc but our objective as a mercenary for Umbrella is to cover up the mess in Raccoon city, leaving behind no evidence that can link the pharmaceutical company to the T-virus outbreak. The emphasis is on a new gaming perspective for this game, it certainly breathes new life into the franchise but still manages to encapsulates the nostalgia that comes along with returning to the iconic Raccoon city.Working through the eyes of the U.S.S (Umbrella Secret Service) your mission is to eliminate anything the way of your objective - a cover up! Triple threat means that anything goes to achieve your goal. Killing the usual Resident Evil creatures, beware of the constant threat of tyrant, hunters, nemesis and special Operatives. This game is best suited for online play but plenty of fun can be had with offline play. The only negative that has to be said is the disappointing offline coop play that I was looking forward to. It still makes me wonder why they didn't include this. There are various other versus modes to keep you entertained including Team Attack, Biohazard, Heroes and Survivor. Heroes mode allows you to play as your favourite Resident Evil characters. Finally, there is promise of free downloadable content from Capcom. I know for sure of a mode that has something to do with the scenario of Jill Valentines first encounter with the nemesis and this will be available for download on 11.04.12

Resident Evil ORC as had nothing said good about by reviews since it came out. After playing the game myself I have come to the conclusion they have been little unfair to wards it.Firstly if you are expecting this game to play like Resi 5 then you will be disappointed,it does not play like any Resi game it feels like to me a feeling of more Lost Planet sort of play.Graphics are not the best and there is some texture issues although in no way is it bad to look at.AI have had some stick saying that they are un responsive etc,to be honest I must be playing a different game as I played on my own on Veteran with 3 AI`s.They healed me they shot their targets and seek ed cover, whats wrong with this.Coop play is a blast with randoms or your friends,ORC as some good things in it if people would just give it a chance and stop judging it as a failed Resi game,it never was meant to be its a spin off.I quite like the other side of the coin and am finding it loads of fun to play.I have not seen any glitches or bugs nothing as made me think all these review rs and ban wagon people slating it down are right. So final thought is take no notice of all the negative comments around this game. But if you are wanting a Resident experience then you will not find it with this game, what you will find is a different look on the story around the Resi 2 and 3 time line and hopefully have a lot of fun with your friends.

Operation raccoon city. A game which has been slammed by critics and fans alike. Seriously this game is everything i expected it to be, a third person socom with zombies. The story is set in many well known locations such as raccoon city police department, hospital, cemetery, (the building in resi 3 with the guy who locks himself in a storage tanker.) the gameplay is fun and controls really well, the cover which people seem to hate iv had no problem with, the shooting mechanic is really good and the abilities can be pretty cool. The melee which everyone seems to complain at is really brutal an makes you feel badass however online it is easily spammed and does no damage at all, speaking of which online the heroes mode is rediculous the heroes are total bullet sponges which is just stupid they should have the same health as in any other multiplayer mode. People keep also saying that there is no atmosphere this is wrong just from the fact that every location you are in is very well known. This game is alot of fun, if you are thinking this is going to be like other resi games you ll be disappointed you should know what ur buying before you do so watch some youtube gameplay :) and if you get the game remember to turn the gamma in options on the game to full because then you can see everything, the really dark areas are still dark but know you can slightly see whats there.8/10

Hmmmmm after various playthroughs and a large amount of online play time. I feel that this game is lacking in the department that Capcom apparently aimed this game at. Action; im sorry slant six games but adding more people with guns >DOES NOT< create action. Infact it creates a more war like atmosphere than that of Racoon City. However, this game is technically aweful. Items are hard to interact with, especially when you try to revive an A.I teamate yet just keep picking up there dropped weapon -_-. The enemy and ally A.I are nearly as stupid as that of the Pacman ghosts. The cover system is annoying as sometimes you can't aim over the object you're behind. Worst of all how inconsistant damage to enemies is.Online play is also laggy as hell.Yet through all this the game stands out as excellent, and not because it is a jump onto the Resident Evil band-wagon. The generall basis on which this game is created is superb. The Multiplayer ideas are excellent. The Co-oP is fun as hell when it works, and the story itself is well integrated between Res 2 and Res 3. Nemesis and the tyrants are well designed and the likes of William Birkin are creepy, the game itself isn't generally "Scary"Overall, a game that has so much promise in ideas and ingenuity and story integration... yet so poorly executed by a developer that didn't deserve the chance to create this game.

Resident Evil operation racoon city (also known as orc) is a behind the scene story game where you can find out some of your questions about resident evil 2-3 with intensive fun co-op and single player gameplay!.instead of playing as a survivor/good guy you get a chance to play as the enemie and have various of classes and opertunities to try out!, all though resident evil fans are disapointed that its an action shooter, personally i think they should quit whining and bitching about the series cause when its was old school people complained and when capcom tried satisfying the fans they just had a tantrum...undenailable resident evil 5 was rubbish but luckilly there going back to their old roots and with this game it shows a new installment of tactics survival and fun.all tthough this game is short it has good multiplayer/co-op and also alot of good replay value.this game looks amazing and i played a bit and i personally enjoyed it the i checked out a bit of gameplay.it has good graphics, good gameplay and also planty of features.if your fan then dont whine try it out! and also ignore the down raters and websites... there the same people that say call of duty is the best game ever... now call of duty is plain over rated....i personally think this is promising and i carnt wait to get 6!just try dont whine about it!....
