Amazon yet again have delivered, I received these on the same day as I ordered, delivery was by prime and as always very efficient. To the product:-Reason for purchase - As a guy late to the party, I've entered a new world of wearing makeup to go out if i've had a hard week in the office. Rather than using my fingers to apply makeup the time has come to buy some brushes. The product comes in a retail box, meaning it would be ideal as a gift. It comes in a hassle free packaging.I bought the following:-1 x Real Techniques Concealer Brush1 x Real Techniques Expert Face Brush1 x Real Techniques Powder BrushWhen I went to the YSL shop, instead of paying £40 per brush I was advised that these Real Techniques brushes were as good as the YSL ones.Big praise for these 'cheap' brushes. As I had no bushes I was advised to buy the above as my 'core' set.The brushes feel and look great. The metal banding across the middle screams quality. The bristles are fine but strong.I'm not an expert at these things but having tried a friends and then the ones at YSL these are really up there with the best. My friends cheap ones smudged the foundation onto my face and the concealer brush left lines. These brushes however were faultless. Even for a someone with no experience with these things, I made it look easy!To all the haters out there who are screaming that the product is fake. Please check who is selling the product. The main seller is Amazon themselves. If you buy from another seller then I'd agree that they could be fakes however could you imagine what negative press would come from Amazon direct selling counterfeit products? I think Real Techniques would be instantly on the phone to trading standards and proceeding with their legal teams! All in all a great product.* If you have any questions then click my profile and drop me an Message and I will be happy to help you. Bought for £4.40 during Black Friday Deals this year. Extremely happy with the brush. I've been using it every day since I got it and don't intend on changing to another brush any time soon. The bristles are soft and leave no marks when I use the brush. The shape of the head is great: I use it exclusively for applying my powdered blush to my cheeks. I know this is an odd way to use this brush as it's meant to be for liquid or cream foundations (that is what it says on the box anyway). But it's way too small for that - it takes me ages to apply foundation with it, so I decided to put it to good use in a different way XD It works for me as a blusher brush because its just small enough to give me a precise application of blush, whilst also big enough to provide good coverage with one-two swooshes.I also really like how it says the name of the brush on the handle - that makes it easy for me to know what this brush is meant to be used for, especially considering how many different brushes I have in my make-up drawer. Admit it, we've all been there - looking at a brush and thinking: what was it's exact application...?! Well this name on handle thing takes that confusion away, so two thumbs up for that :) Also, it's got a flat back, so you can prop it up and it'll stay standing (if you've got the space/time/willingness to balance it after every use). I personally don't use this feature of the brush, I just chuck it in the drawer for next time, but thought I might mention it. As you'd expect the gold is a nice shimmery gold and the black is super easy to grip, so design wise Real Techniques has done very well.I recommend to others, even at full price, its definitely worth the buy.P.S. I've included several pictures for you to see how the brush came (it'd make a lovely present) and what it looks like when open (including a close up of the head's shape). Enjoy XD

I absolutely LOVE this brush for a number of reasons...- It can be used for so many different things. I have used it to apply moisturiser, foundation, concealer, to blend out blush and even to contour. It works really well for all of these things. Mainly I use it every single day to blend out concealer all over my face. It takes seconds to blend and the densely compacted bristles make it easy to form a good coverage of product whilst still resulting in an 'airbrushed' like finish.- This brush also washes really well and dries quickly too. I have been using this for around a year now and thought it was so good I bought a second one as a gift for my Mom. In all the time that I have had it it has not shed a single bristle, and it feels like a quality product that will last me years to come.- One of the main things I was wondering about before buying this brush was if it would increase the amount of coverage from my foundation/concealer when using it to blend it in. I have definitely found it to do this, and my skin still looks natural. Unlike some of the other brushes such as the stippling brush which is designed to provide a lighter finish, this brush doesn't leave any brush strokes in the foundation, and if I feel like I want extra coverage on certain areas of my face then all I have to do is just push the product onto these areas with the brush, and doing this provides extra coverage.- Overall, I think the quality of all of the Real Techniques brushes are outstanding and this one is no exception. It has cut down on the amount of time it takes me to blend in my foundation and concealer as I do not have to spend ages blending it in as this brush does that so quickly. I would definitely recommend.

I bought this after spotting it in a YouTube make up video. I'm was an optimistic so I was trying every application method possible until I found a winner. I've tried brushes, fingers, sponges, stipplers, roll on's, spray on foundation, you name it. Move over all other applications, this brush is now my #1 and I have given up the search because you cannot get any better that this! Not only is this brush quite cheap compared to some brushes I have what have cost me double, triple and dare I say four times the price of this brush (I thought paying out more money, I would get better quality but I've learnt its not the case), but it gives an amazing flawless finish!I only need a small blob of foundation and this brush manages to dispense it evenly on my face, unlike sponges what suck most of the foundation up therefore I need to use more product. Stipplers I find can sometimes give streaky finishes and bristles can clump together, fingers although they are a good method I can find messy and unhygienic. Foundation brushes I find can streak also or the bristles are too firm. This brush is perfect, really soft, easy to use, you can work it any which way (I find small circles are perfect!) its domed end fits in any areas like around the nose without being harsh. It's easy to wash, spreads foundation evenly and you can even stand this little gem on its end on your dressing table (etc.) so its easy to identify and grab. AMAZING BRUSH!!!

I have dry skin and use a lot of moisturising beauty products each morning plus The Ordinary's coverage foundation. I had found that it was patchy even minutes after applying with my fingers and I had trouble getting it even being so moist. Then it would stick to dry patches as well. I don't use much foundation and its pretty sheer but I started to look at using a brush. I just bought a sponge from this range which was ok but still left a little patchiness. This brush however is brilliant. It really helps to blend the foundation and I really think that it will revolutionise my makeup when I go out and use Mac a heavier liquid foundation. Its really worth the money spent unlike the sponge which I found too clunky and absorbed too much foundation. The sponge was a waste of my money and I wish i'd gone straight to this brush. I'm no makeup expert and I'm a busy mum so this brush really helps to get a basic bit of makeup on quick and looking better than I ever have before. I still suffer with a few dry patches but thats my skin type annoyingly.I am going to buy a concealer brush too for my under eyes etc.. Other reviews said watch out for counterfeits and they believed this one to be genuine. I think so too although I may not know the difference. I do know this one does a really great job. I haven't cleaned it yet as only used twice but I can't see it being an issue.

This brush is INCREDIBLE! Beyond all expectations, and even if you've absolutely given up on foundation brushes I'd be willing to bet you'd love it.I've tried everything for foundation, a hundred different types of brush, sponges, fingers, the cat and some are just horrible and others you can get a nice finish but you really have to work at it. But not this. You don't need any special technique, you slap on the goo and somehow, by some voodoo, it pulls out whatever consistency of foundation you are using to a sheer, even finish. No fiddling, no having to go over with a small brush to fill in craters and best of all no caked-up feeling on your face. This is not an expensive brush; I have several at three, four times the price that don't do the job as well. But you will save on foundation; it makes a little go a long, long way - I'm used to putting a certain size blob on my hand and I no longer need as much.Fantastic. Really. And if the rest of the range are this good, MAC, Stila et al need to start worrying. I use a combination of brushes based on a Coastal Scents set that has doubled in size as I've added "better" ones over the years (often not better, just different) but I am DEFINITELY going to check out the rest of these.

I bought this brush at my local Ulta after reading reviews online & watching YouTubers rave about how well it applied foundation. After using it once I went back & purchased a second EFB to make sure I'll always have a backup! The synthetic fibers of this brush are densely packed in a rounded shape ensuring a smooth/even application of foundation over the surface of your skin. The round shape also hugs the countours of your face. To apply, I put my favorite liquid foundation on the back of my hand to let it warm up, dipped the EFB into it, then buffed it onto my face from the center using circular motions. The resut was an airbrushed look. One coat of foundation covered my large pores & redness. You can also buff to build coverage without caking but I would suggest using a concealer brush for acne marks/any scrars you have. The buffing technique didn't work well with my favorite mineral/powder foundation, however. This brush works best with liquid foundations. The brush washes nicely with no shedding & retains it shape after drying. Staining of its bristles even after washing is normal, however. This is the best $9.00 you can spend. I have many brushes from many companies & the EFB is at the top of my list!!

A faultless make-up brush. As a person with a wide, extensive collection of brushes, this along side another Real Techniques product (Beauty Blenders - http://amzn.to/2aO6rn6) are easily my favourite. They save me so much time in the morning when applying foundation and provide an even flawless coverage too. The brushes are so soft and smooth on your skin making them very enjoyable to use. In comparison to the brush I last used by E.L.F, this by far comes out on top. The material on the handle is very chic and shiny and aesthetically pleasing if displayed in a fashionable pot. The description of the name of the brush printed on Real Techniques brushes very quickly fades, however,so I would prefer if it was engraved into the handle somehow.I find all Real Techniques brushes easy to wash and clean. I use a big of shampoo mixed with washing up liquid, massaging it into the bristle and within seconds built-up product is removed. Even after endless washes, the bristles remain intact, smooth and healthy. The bristles do not have a tendency to fall out when using, either, which is a common problem I encounter with many cheap make-up brushes.Very pleased with my purchase and I would definitely buy again!

I have been using this brush for over a year now and I can honestly say that buying it was the best decision among all my beauty purchases. My makeup routine is incomplete without it and I always recommend it to beginners. Being a beauty blogger, I see a lot of brushes but this one really has no match. Not only are the bristles soft and gentle enough for my sensitive skin, they blend beautifully all cream and liquid products. The best part about this brush is perhaps its shape. This is my go-to foundation brush. I use it for my cream/liquid blush, bronzer, concealer, highlighter and contour. Some people might say that you can't use it for all those things at the same time but actually you can.It doesn't eat up much product so you can go from one thing to another without worrying about that. It picks up the right amount of product and places it exactly where you want it. As the handle is not completely round, prolonged buffing motions can tire out your wrist but that's no biggie. When someone asks me what should their first beauty purchase be I say the RT Expert Face brush. It saves so much money, doesn't shed, does lots of jobs, doesn't stay stained, and just gives great results every time.

I have a lot of makeup brushes for face, eyes, setting etc but non of them come even close to this brush (for the face). I tend to go for a more liquid/cream foundation I wouldn't really recommend this brush with a powder foundation as the bristles could be too firm and you'll just end up with the powder on your legs rather then on your face. Its brilliant for creams, as i said, the firmer bristles allow you to work it into the skin and not just smear it over your face (I find the typical foundation brushes do this) it gives you a perfectly smooth finish and the brush isn't too firm to irritate the skin.I highly recommend this brush, if your more antiquated with make up or if your a complete beginner this is a must for your makeup bag.I promise you wont regret it.Pro: liquid/cream foundation, Hi-def finish, Great coverage, Can use even under eyes around noseCons: wouldn't use with powder/mineral, if your a little forgetful and don't wash your brushes a lot it can be difficult to get all of the foundation out, say once a month, so keep up the regular cleaning (less germs = less spots)All in all --- BUY IT! :)

I cannot rate the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush highly enough. I own all the Bobbi Brown makeup brushes, but this one beats all my high-end brushes hands down. This is so precise for blending liquid foundation, powder, even stick foundations, this is my go-to brush. I even use it for contouring as it's just such an amazing blending brush! Even for blush, as the brush is just so rounded it applies it to the apples of your cheeks perfectly. It's also small enough to go into the creases of your eyes, but big enough that it doesn't take too long to do your makeup. I use this brush for all my face makeup, and it's so much easier to use the one brush than four different ones! For me,it really is a wonder brush. It applies your foundation, blush, bronzer, concealer, powder, and blends it all seamlessly. If you're considering buying this brush, definitely do as it is such an amazing brush for a really amazing price. I've been using mine for the past few months, and it's still in really great condition, but I have bought another one, purely because I love the brush so much!

I am very pleased with this brush. I bought it after seeing various makeup artists on YouTube using these brushes to apply foundation, including Pixiwoo. One of the Pixiwoo ladies is behind this range of brushes. The bristles are very dense and quite soft, so it is comfortable to use. It is absolutely brilliant for applying liquid foundation for a natural finish with no harsh line along the jaw line. If you use it with a light touch around the forehead and eye brow area and edges of the face, there are no tell tale thick patches of foundation. It blends very nicely around the eye area with the concealer I use for my dark eye circles. Also if you happen to apply a bit too much blusher you can gently buff over it with this brush and it will soften it a bit.The price is very good for the quality of the product and I would definitely recommend it over the flat style foundation brushes or sponges. Sponges absorb way too much of your expensive foundation, whereas this seems very economical. It also cleans easily with warm water and shampoo.

I am awarding this brush five stars. Purely based on value for money. A good brush is imperative in the finish and application of make up. I texted it on a liquid foundation and found that it left tram lines accross the skin. The only answer to that, is to use a feather like touch to smooth it out. However, l tested it on moisturiser application and it preformed well. I prefer my finger tips for that though. The next thing that l tried it on, was a solid pressed mineral powder. The results were excellent. I have a very soft kabuki brush, that cost a lot more and yes, it does apply powders beautifully but sometimes you need that extra firm application.Downside....you waste a lot of product using liquid foundation with this brush as it does soak it into the bristles. So it is not cost effective. A sponge wastes foundation as well. Overall it is a good brush for the money, l think best for applying solid powders or solid cream foundations. It would be excellent for face sculpture products! It has the right shape and firmness.

I was using an old ruby and millie foundation brush, but after buying a couple of real technique brush sets, i looked at the other brushes available and decided to buy this.I use this to apply my foundation, and it literally takes a minute or 2 to brush it evenly all over your face. I am so impressed! I then apply bronzer and blusher after the foundation and then use the buffing brush to blend it all together nicely, and spread out any areas i have missed with the expert face brush.I have also bought my teenage daughter all of the same brushes and brush sets I have bought myself, so no excuses for tide marks round the edge of the face now! (the seller of mine was Amazon EU and mine is genuine, identical to the brushes from my other real technique sets and the 2 I have bought have been used daily, 1 for 18 months, 1 for almost 12 months so far and they still look as good as new and no shedding/falling apart, )

I have received this product today and I personally think this brush is totally worth the money I have payed for it, it is the perfect size, looks expensive and apply's make-up so effortlessly. It is incredibly well made and this brand deserves all the hype it gets. I have used it once to try it out and used considerably less product than I usually do with my bog-standard make-up brush which is an obvious bonus as it means the brush will probably save me money in the long run. Another bonus is the fact that the whole 'real techniques' range is made of synthetic bristles meaning they are cruelty free and are not made of animal hair. Today when i used it only one of the fibers shed from the brush even though i had been messing with it a lot.I will definitely be purchasing more of these brushes in the future. Well done Samantha Chapman on your amazing range of brushes!
