This version of the Razer Blade Stealth 13.3” Ultrabook is the middle model in a range of 3 and equipped with an Intel 1.8/4.6Ghz 4 core i7-8565U Processor, 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD, with NVIDIA GeForce MX150 (25W) 4GB GDDR5 graphics with a full HD (non-touchscreen) display, 4 speakers plus a 720p camera with mic. The unit weighs in at just over 1.3Kg making it highly portable.Connectivity options include 2 Type-A USB 3.1 ports, 1 Thunderbolt 3 port (USB-C), a USB-C™ 3.1 Gen 2, power port and 3.5mm headphone/microphone combo port. Razer makes a couple of external graphics card enclosures to match this notebook. The first thing that strikes you about this ultrabook is how slim and well made it feels being machined from solid aluminium – it reminds me of a MacBook in some ways. The Razer Stealth exudes a feeling of quality which extends to the feel of the backlit keyboard and glass touchpad both of which are crisp and very precise in operation. It feels like a product that will survive the rough and tumble of a long hard life.Startup is quick thanks to the 256GB SSD, although, given the price point, it’s a pity Razer couldn’t have run to a 512GB drive on this unit. The 1980 x 1080 HD display is very sharp and the colours are vibrant – it looks very good indeed especially as there’s virtually no bezel and viewing angles don’t seem too critical. The 720p camera is Windows Hello compliant so facial recognition is supported. The sound is reasonable and not too tinny considering the slim profile of the unit, plus, there’s support for Dolby Atmos but no portable machine is going to sound very authoritative. The headphone output is fine.In use the machine is quick on routine tasks such as surfing, creating documents and presentations. I also use it for editing photos in the field using Lightroom and it’s very good, although there's no SD card reader built in. As far as gaming is concerned, the Stealth will run quite heavyweight games at up to medium resolution – I love Fortnite and it supports play at medium quality and 1080p. I do, however, think you could do better for sheer performance at this price point with a well-specced purpose made gaming laptop. One thing I did notice though is that battery life is highly dependent on what you use the machine for, the quoted life is up to 11 hours. My experience suggests that you’ll get around 6 hours with a game like Warhammer II (at medium res/fps) and about 8 hours if you’re using it for basic business type use. Especially when stressed the unit can get quite warm in use and the fans are a bit noisy too but that’s the price of an ultra-slim, metal casing. This Razer Ultrabook suffers from a slight identity crisis, the brand is synonymous with gaming but this seems as much a business machine with medium level gaming capability. If seen in the guise of a highly portable performance Ultrabook with gaming capability it is probably worth five stars. If you were after a portable machine for gaming only then it could be beaten especially at the price and it might warrant a lesser 4-star rating – I’ve assumed the former is true for this review.

Fair warning: this is not a gamer-focused review, so if you're after details on how this machine performs for games, or how it's helped me get some advantage over others, I invite you to stop reading after my one sentence gaming summary as follows: £1425 to play Overwatch seems like bad value to me, but I'm certainly no expert. Gamers gone? OK - I'm a business user. I like Ultrabooks - they're what laptops should be for most of us. I have a Microsoft Surface Laptop and a Surface Pro 4, both of which I bought for (self-employed) work. The Surface Laptop is the best laptop I ever used - not the highest spec, but the best all-rounder with fantastic ergonomics, look and feel, and power and storage capacity.I paid around £1200 for a Surface Laptop with Core i5, 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD. The Razer Stealth is higher spec with a new gen Core i7, 16GB RAM and 256HDD at £200 more. Both have lovely chassis, keyboards and screens (although the MS is, to my eyes, slightly sharper). The MS is very hard to beat in terms of touchpoints - it's such a nice experience with its alcantara keyboard, but the Stealth is nice in a slightly more traditional feel. The Stealth's touchpad is significantly nicer to use than the MS, though, with a larger surface area and absence of plastic feel. While 1080p might seem a little under-specced in today's 4k world, for a 13.3" screen, 1080p is very sharp. What I really like about the Stealth is that for a gaming machine, it is stealthy. It's not a garish lovechild of a Klingon warship and souped-up boy-racer hot hatch - it's fairly conservative. Customise the backlit keyboard to a white light, and it's just a brilliantly specced business machine and (whisper it) for that, it's actually good value. Most of my more technical colleagues will opt for this spec for their machines, and will find this excellent value. The equivalent spec MS Surface Laptop is over £500 more. Does that alcantara keyboard justify that? (Word to the wise - if you do get the MS, go for a dark colour as the alcantara can get grubby where the heels of your palms rest). As a business machine, the Razer is brilliant - amazingly fast, tough, light and decent battery capacity.Whatever issues reviewers had earlier with noise etc. seem to have been ironed out. As for the battery "losing charge" while the PSU is plugged in - I wish all machines did this to preserve the battery's life. The Razer runs off the battery when fully charged, only recharging once the battery falls below 90%. For those who use docks or just plug in the power as a matter of course, this is good battery maintenance. So, gamers, I don't wish to rain on your parade, but thanks for this wonderfully powerful business machine.

On reading reviews prior to mine I was slightly concerned, however, discovery is the best form of experience and the some of the less than favorable reviews didn't dampen my enthusiasm upon receiving the laptop. This laptop is aimed at gaming, the I7 cpu and the 16 gb ram ensures there is plenty power available. The 250 SSD hard drive ensures bootup speeds and game loading times remain incredibly low. The best part of this laptop if the 4gb GMX Nvidia gaming card which compliements the I7 cpu perfectly. Not quite as powerful as my PC graphics card, but it has a high end spec that will easily play high end games on high to ultra settings comfortably.Impressively, using a dongle I can connect to my UHD tv,providing you have a decent dongle, you will be able to play games at 4K resolution. The laptop is loaded with Windows 10 and is minimalist in terms of ports. Just 1 normal USB and 2 USB C ports is all it has. The reason for this is because the laptop can remain compact. I have 2 very good dongles that easily copes with various extra peripherals and outputs at the same time.No disc drawer available, but this isn't an issue for me as it ensures the laptop can remain small, compact and razor like. The laptop charges using either USB C port. It seems some users have had issues with the charger, however, I haven't had any problems whatsoever. I wonder if the later version has been changed to charge via USB C as there does seems to be a charging port available. However, I have had no issue with the USB C cable disconnecting from the laptop. The performance of this laptop is what has really impressed me though, and yes, this is a pricey piece of kit, but gaming laptops are, and the Razor Stealth has been put together with precision, thoughtfulness with a touch style also.I would have preferred a slightly bigger screen, however, outputting to UHD on a 52'' is not a bad plan B. As far as power consumption goes, I have no issues in this department. The laptop easily copes with playing games whilst not charging but this comes with an expectancy of an increased power consumption which lowers battery timings.Recommended, hell year, purchase one of these and you wont be disappointed.

Wow, what a great little laptop for everyday use - the specs are very decent and this is the single biggest selling point of this laptop. The power alone makes this a formidable multi-tasking machine. I've been using it for simple typing of essay-like Word documents, Excel business admin, business admin online, general browsing, research and so on. I'm a designer by trade and this machine is more than adequate for that task, bar one small detail*. It has 4GB of GDDR5 video RAM which is great. The 16GB of system memory and 8-core i7 4.6GHz CPU means this will handle any normal task thrown at it and any gaming can be had on high quality settings, while pretty much anything a normal user will do.It's only when it comes to real high-end 3D rendering etc. that this would begin to slow, but you wouldn't use a laptop for that necessarily, so not a negative consideration as far as I'm concerned.*The screen resolution is the trade-off for a monitor of 13 inches. At only 1080 high, it works well enough for browsing and day-to-day admin tasks in Word or Excel etc. For anything design related, it's no where near enough screen real estate. For watching movies (why anyone would get a laptop for this purpose is beyond me) it should suffice. For photo editing via Lightroom or similar the machine is more than powerful, but the screen size may hinder this task a little. Of course, you could always use with a second monitor which I normally do with my 15 inch MacBook Pro, and this would alleviate the issue. The colours saturation is lovely and the screen vivid. The physical size of the laptop is amazing. It's very slender and looks great. It's very satisfying to open and close.Windows 10 Home is installed and will likely require a system update at time of purchase. All drivers by default on a pre-built machine, already installed or native to Windows 10.The track pad is responsive and the keyboard satisfying to use.Highly recommended!

Razer may not be the first computer brand most people would seek out if they were looking for a new laptop, but gamers may be more familiar with them if they have previously used any of Razer's gaming accessories. There are a number of different laptop specifications on the same Amazon product page and reviews are all grouped together – I have the Razer Blade Stealth 13.3 inch Ultrabook (shown as the Graphics model) which is the midrange model in the13.3 inch size range. The main differences between models is in the graphics – the cheaper Blade Stealth Base model features Intel UHD Graphics 620, this Graphics model (Full HD 1080p) and the top-of-the-range 4K model both have the NVIDIA GeForce MX150,giving very good graphics indeed. The 2019 Razer Blade Stealth Graphics model is well-specified and although aimed primarily at gamers it is also a tough and fast Ultrabook suitable for use by anyone on the move. The Processor is the new Whisky Lake Intel i7-8565U Quad-Core 8th Generation with 4 Cores, 8 Threads and a speed of up to 4.6GHz. The Graphics are NVIDIA MX150 4GB GDDR5 VRAM with a Full HD Display; there is 256 GB SSD, 16 GB RAM and the OS is Windows 10 Home. Connectivity is is via Thunderbolt 3, USB-C, USB-A with USB-C power input – a suitable USB-C power adapter is supplied – there is no optical drive on this model.Other reviewers seem to have had some issues with this model – I haven't had any using the Razer as a normal laptop and my son has had no issues using it for gaming; the audio is fine as is the charging and battery life. Currently around fifteen hundred pounds from Amazon the 2019 Razer Blade Stealth Graphics model is a compact yet well-specified laptop that could be worth thinking about if you are considering something like a Dell XPS or Microsoft Surface Book. For performance and specification this gaming offering from Razer gets five stars – and it is certainly not just for gamers!

Overall I think it's a great little laptop. It's not an out and out gaming machine, you'd not be looking at 13" laptops if that's the case but a real performer and works well for productivity and some light gaming.Pros- Screen (Bright, sharp),- Keyboard (Nice feeling, right shift may be odd for some),- Size (A really compact laptop, even for 13", very portable)- Performance (For it's form factor a serious performer)Cons- Battery life- Charger (Simply not powerful enough, laptop still drains running at full load)In Detail:Having read about some build/quality control quality issues (screen issues, coil whine etc.) I have not experienced any of such issues so far.The laptop feels solid and has run everything I have thrown at it from creative suites (Adobe etc.) to lightly demanding games has not even flinched. Runs a little hot when under load but this is to be expected for such a portable thin laptop with these specs. The main negative is definitely the battery (and charger). Casual use I can get 7+ hours but I am lucky to get few hours when running more demanding tasks and sadly, Razer, wanting this to be a super portable device, the charger that comes with it is very low watt and means under load it won't actually charge the laptop (In extreme cases, the laptop will continue to drain while plugged in).

I opted for the 1080p rather than the 4k option with touch screen. This is coming from a surface book. The weight of the laptop is about the same as a surface book. The laptop is super lightweight and sleek. It does leave fingerprints but don't let the matte finish with fingerprints fool you. It still looks good and professional.I only really play Overwatch and this runs just fine. But don't expect the machine to handle heavy gaming. It's just an overall strong gaming pc especially for its weight and size.Battery life is smooth but not amazing (again comparing to a surface book). The charger is super small and laptop is super compact and ideal to travel. The trackpad is super good but it lacks hdmi ports etc,and an adapter for the USB c charging port will be required. But there are 2 USB c charging ports. You can charge either side just fine.I don't regret getting the upgraded version. But I do think this is a little pricier for the looks. If I was concerned about money I'd pick a matebook or surface oik over this machine.

I7 8th gen, 8gb ram, 256gb SSD, UHD 620 graphics. At the price point of £900 this was a very good deal imo, compared to Surface Laptop 3, Macbook Pro at higher price points... The build quality is excellent and on par with the metal versions of these 2 other laptops.Although, I am contemplating buying a Razer Core X to increase the graphics card as it will not handle any moderate video editing. It has worked well so far with my DAW for music production though.Would recommend, although may want to consider getting higher graphics card and RAM if you want to do anything serious. Although I appreciate the price rockets up with those additions.Track pad is very good, keyboard is good, screen is good, build quality excellent. Port selections reasonable. Would recommend to a Marketing university student like myself, wanting a fast unit that can do simple audio and video production and simple graphic design work...Can always upgrade the graphics card with the Core!

I never thought I'd like a touchscreen laptop but these are great. It comes quite heavily configured for 'gaming' use, but I use it for work and once all the razer gaming stuff was toned down, I can get a good 5 hours of battery life. I've had no issues with the charger falling out as some other reviews have said.Overall the laptop is un matched when it comes to portable power and battery life. Take Dell xps's for example that don't have a gpu in any of the 13" versions, or a MacBook that is just an expensive tin with a hamster inside.

Love it, use it along with an EGPU to run my oculus rift s. beautiful design. be aware though you can't upgrade the RAM on the 13Inch version (or at least I haven't found a way?). although 16GB in enough for most and to be fair is enough for me to to do VR gaming. Currently upgrading the SSD (really easy) to a 1TB only £99 on amazon so not bad.I came from a MacBook Pro 2016 to this for gaming and VR. Love it now wouldn't go back to a Mac laptop

Very glad I purchased this model , for what I need the battery life is good , I don’t play games though, screen is excellent, very fast especially after my tweaks , very sturdy build quality, keyboard action is also good , glad I purchased this over the dell XP’s ,

This laptop is the best laptop I have ever used. It is extremely fast, works very well and has an amazing screen. I've had my laptop for a few months now and it's still amazing. Battery life is not amazing though.
