First the negatives the keyboard does not light up which is a shame because I struggle to see in poor light (of course if you touch type it's not a problem). I have solved this by purchasing a USB keyboard light for very little money. The keyboard feels plasticky (but it works well). Positives are so many I wouldn't have time. The laptop is fast in everything I have tried including surfing the internet to playing videos (I dont play games so cannot comment). Its large size is brilliant and it's very lightweight. It boots very quickly. The track pad is responsive and easy to use. There is plenty of connectivity. Run time is a couple of hours which is a little disappointing but considering its size it's acceptable.

This laptop is pretty decent for the price. It has excellent build quality & tactile keyboard. Performance is not too bad,it is good for web browsing and surprised it handled video editing pretty well too. It has a base speed of 1.1ghz but a boost of upto 2.6ghz when needed. It is a fanless machine and very quiet in operation,doesn't get hot and battery life is excellent. Also it has fast charging!! The speakers are some of the best i have heard on a laptop with decent bass and clarity!!

This is a really great laptop at a really great price. I bought it as an extra so that I could seperate my work and my social lives. The large screen is so much easier to focus when sat in front of it for extended periods. It is very fast at loading and performing many functions. The picture is very sharp and the colours are bright and vibrant. The audio quality is very good indeed and makes watching videos online a really immersive experience. Also, it is a quiet laptop.

bought this laptop in place of another i retuned to argos,it's fast, the 17"screen is good, the sound is very good aswell, it;s slim and sleek,only downfall i think is the keys are a bit cheap for this laptop,it's 8gb ram and 1tb hard drive is great you can store loads of items on this one, i would recomend to anyone,the picture on screen is very good.i can't say realy anything that bad about this laptop i love it wish i had purchased this one first.

I picked this particular laptop due to the screen size, I don't have the space for a big desktop but I hated squinting at the tiny laptop I've been using while working from home these last 10+ weeks. It's fairly light and thin, although I've not had to travel with it yet so I might feel different about the weight. I do find the keyboard a little rattly, but it picks up what I'm typing.It's a great Asus laptop for the price.

Pleasantly surprised at the light weight. Thought the performance might be that wee bit better with it being an 8gb but still a noticeable difference from my old 4. As wth design it’s almost identical to older models. Which is good on one hand because it’s familiar and easy to adjust to but also like to see little things changed up so it feels new. Overall very good, would recommend as a general use laptop.

I purchased this to replace my existing laptop. I have found it to be just what I was looking for. Even though it iis larger than some laptops, it is lightweight and, as it comes with a bag it is easily portable. Original setup was fast and simple. Its performance is excellent, doesn't get hot like some older laptops. The battery life is brilliant with fast recharge time. Definitely to be recommended.

Not with ultimate performance, but acceptable for the money. V. fast startup due to Windows being on the Solid-State memory ( Genius ! ) but too early yet to rate other features, so I've given 3* until I know better.A good, averagely priced Laptop - Recommended to those starting out ( It literally talks you through installation ) or who haven't won the Lottery recently who can spend a whole lot more !

A very sturdy laptop with 17.3 inch screen. Looks great and works well. The keyboard is tactile with a positive feel so you know that you are pressing the keys while touch typing. Battery life is as advertised so very good for use away from home.The bag provides good storage and protection whilst you are out and about.Well worth the price if you can live without an inbuilt DVD drive.

This is my second Asus laptop , my previous item lasted 8 years ,so finally decided on an up to date model ,for general use . Lovely large screen with an 8GB memory very fast and responsive , easy to set up Cortana takes you through each section to give you a trouble free download . Added bonus is a very nice carry bag for your laptop and bits and pieces .Very pleased and great choice .

This laptop is just what I wanted. My daughter has the older version of this and has not had one problem with it (bought approx. 3 years ago). She works from home and is able to do all the things she would be able to do on a PC within her workplace. I didn't hesitate in buying one as soon as I could afford and so far have not been disappointed. it is extremely fast and efficient.

I thought I bought a computer; Honestly, I bought everything I could imagine in one machine. The installation was speedy and smooth. The window 10 is excellent with the Asus modern-day computing. With my Asus 17.3in super machine, I can travel around the world in my living room. Oh! What a wonderful world. I am thrilled, honestly. Happiness starts with Asus computer. Thank you.

A great laptop for a good price. Very light for a large laptop which is perfect for when I'm travelling. Had it a few weeks now and use it almost everyday, it is so much faster than my old laptop, I wish I had upgraded a lot sooner.Windows 10 is a lot better than I was expecting too.The free laptop bag is good quality, hopefully it will survive plenty of travel.

A great piece of technology! Big screen, good keyboard, excellent battery. Home use only, so need to worry about portability - but lightweight for its size. Good picture / screen quality.I don't know a lot about the technical stuff, but a friend helped me and said this will last me a long time for the day to day activities that I need it for. Would recommend.

BOUGHT FOR HOME USE AFTER OUR BELOVED WINDOW 7 CRASHED AND BURNED EASY TOO SET UP GOOD SCREEN BRIGHT CLEAR STILL PLAYING WITH A LOT OF THE APS NEED TOO BUY WINDOWS 10 FOR DUMMIES COMES WITH MCAFEE INSTALLED AND WILL DRIVE YOU MAD WITH POP UPS UNTILL YOU BUY IT OR UNINSTALL IT WE DID THE LATTER ENJOYING THE MODERN LAPTOP JUST GETTING TO KNOW OUR NEW TOY
