Very pleased. But as it’s a cloudbook, there are some things that are unavailable. Also it runs in S mode and advises for safety not to come out of it for protection of the lap top. I am unable to do zoom meetings on it, which is something we hoped to use it for. Otherwise very good for my son’s school work. We did purchase the McAfee total protection security also, which I was unable to load as you can not run it on S mode. This was recommended by Argos as an extra to purchase with the laptop !

A bit more memory would be good, but I guess you can use the various cloud data stores if you really need more. My main gripe is that it comes with windows 10s which precludes you from downloading anything other than software from the MS store, which includes the office 365 and AV software that comes with the laptop. You can deactivate this restriction, but you shouldn't need to do so in my opinion. If you want something cheap and cheerful which is capable for normal web surfing, emails etc,,,,,

I wanted something portable and fairly capable without being too expensive. So far my expectations have been more than fulfilled! This little piece of kit does everything that the spec. describes and is far more expensive looking than I had expected - it’s actually a pleasure to own. Display and battery life impressive, and included office software is a nice touch. Also like the flexibility of having a micro SD slot. What’s not to like?..Well done Asus and “Thanks” Argos for prompt delivery!

For start feel a bit disappointed as the advert says the cpu is 2.6 ghz when the fact it’s only 1.1 ghzAnd the model they gave it’s E 406M don’t know if it’s the same thing as E406 The laptop it’s plastic made not great but for the price it’s okay doesn’t have a keyboard backlight which it’s bad you can’t work in the dark even though it’s fair faster and fair screen I was expecting better quality for an ASU’s laptop but it’s my first time had an HP for 20 years and and better performance

I purchased this pc as I needed one quickly for home office set up - I wanted a simple to use, easy to set up model with good performance. I haven’t been disappointed - connections to work networks, WiFi printers etc have all been simple to install and get running. This was a purchase with roughly 5 minutes product review (I said I was in a hurry) and I expected to have a few problems or some minor dissatisfaction- I haven’t, so I would thoroughly recommend this model for day to day use.

Purchased to go travelling with as light, with excellent battery life (10 hrs+), silent and good keyboard. Performance good, boots up and shuts down quickly and has 40 MB of internal memory free to use. I added a 128MB micro SD card that gives ample storage for other files. Excellent value, particularly with 12 Office 365 for 12 months. Only grumble, is that the key board does not light up and so difficult to type in the dark, but that's a small point given that everything else is great.

I purchased this as I was having to work from home due to COVID-19. I wanted something affordable as I don't normally work from home and with anticipation was hoping that I wouldn't be home for very long. I could not be happier. Simple to set up. not as light as some of the others, but I wanted something with a good size screen. This screen is perfect.I would definitely recommend this lap top for my office needs and for kids studying. very reasonable price so this was a real bonus!

Really happy with my cloudbook, it is extremely light and responsive, I was concerned about the size as I was used to a 15.6" laptop but have had no problems adjusting at all, the battery life is very good, I did downgrade to Windows 10 as I did want to use Google Chrome but that was simple to apply. The only issue was that it should have come with 12 month subscription to Office 365 and it didn't, it only had a 30 day trial, I contacted Argos who advised me to speak to Asus.

I was pleasantly surprised with this laptop. The battery life is very good, lasts me most the day on heavy use.The system is fast and barely lags behind.There are two things that could be improved:The cooling system of the laptop, its a fan-less system however I find it can get quite warm the heat radiates through the keys. The other thing is the irritating placement of the 'hash' key, it is in the normal place of the enter key - just something I will learn.

This is a great laptop for the price. It is fast, light and portable. It is straightforward to setup from scratch. Just follow the instructions and you can't go wrong. Speed is good with 4gb ram and the capacity is good to at 64gb eMMC. It is very quiet because of no moving pards on the hard drive. Because most people these days use cloud storage or stream their media content, you won't have too much issue with the storage. For everyday use it is an excellent buy.

I bought this for my 11yr old son. Mainly for school work/homework and browsing/ you tube I bought a sd card as definitely needed more storage. My son loves this laptop, The battery life is great, it’s light so not heavy for him to carry. Boots up pretty fast , he’s not noticed any lag. Activating office was easy and Connecting the wireless printer was a breeze. It looks good , It’s great for school work/ homework and online revision for tests

Bought this for my partner for studying, lasts all day without needing a charge!Lightweight, slim and attractive machine!Caveat being lower internal memory, but if you store on USB drives, this is only an issue if you need a lot of things installed. Keyboard isn't back-lit, but at this price point, it's a great package - runs well for Office and Internet browsing, and can do it all day long away from a socket! Excellent buy for students!

Purchased for a family member, we wanted something for light tasks - watching TV, internet browser, video calls and email. Seems well built for the money. Lightweight and powerful enough for his needs. The battery has a good duration. The direct HDMI port is good (vs purchasing additional adapters) integral webcam seems reasonable quality. We required NO touchscreen so this is ideal.

This is an incredible machine for not a lot of money.I added a 64gig memory card to cheaply increase the storage capacity to 128gig. The laptop is light but has a good size 14 inch screen which has a very narrow border around it.This should be ideal for a student and the battery lasts a phenomenal length of time.The display is decent enough.Thoroughly recommmended.
