A great chromebook for all things web based. This is a chromebook NOT a laptop. This means that it is super quick to boot up and great for surfing the web, emails etc but isn't ideal for loading large programmes. That said I find that I can do everything that I want to on it including music recording and even video editing (using apps)The price of this chromebook was extraordinary with the free Google drive storage that I got for two years more than offsetting the price of the actual device.

Smooth running chrome operating system... 4gb ram works fast. You can simply download the well known word processing and spreadsheet apps on to the chrome book and viewing and editing such documents works just fine. Also... no more constant system updates forced on you by the more traditional systems. If you primarily wants to surf the net, have useful apps while still enjoying the benefis of occasionally managing simple word processed documents and spreadsheets... then Chrome is top notch.

I bought this Chromebook to evaluate the functionality of the OS. This is an inexpensive model and I tested it to its limits. I am very impressed. I only found one thing I could not do, which was open an encrypted Excel spreadsheet, Browser performance is as good as my Windows PC. However, streaming a video and recording the screen at the same time caused performance issues. It is excellent for watching Netflix and casting the screen to Chromecast.. Portability and battery life are very good

I got this for home schooling and my college course work. It was very easy to set up for a complete technophobe. So far it works well and battery life is brilliant. The volume is quite loud so no problem watching movies ect. It has been a bit confusing as I am used to Windows but you get used to it. The only thing I don't like any apps you get from Google play only work in part of your screen and don't go full screen, very annoying. But maybe that's just me not knowing what I'm doing!

Well. Bought this for my 11 year old son as he now needs to do homework online. His school uses google docs and we got this so he didn’t need to keep going in the family laptop. It is super fast. Good for Netflix and amazon Prime. The sound is really good. The keyboard is small but perfect for my son. We added a mouse that also works well. Battery was 5 hours with mainly YouTube. About 10 when just on google docs. Can’t load PC software but we downloaded several apps that were good.

I really love chrome books. They are quick to boot up, do not need anti-virus software and they update automatically. Everything is stored in your own file system in the cloud. If it breaks, just buy another and log into your account. They are cheap and they work. OK so a superfast windows or apple computer may be able to run sophisticated design software, but most people only need spreadsheets, a word processor and a web interface / browser (or in other words, a chromebook).

No running out of disk due to updates; runs Word too! despite Google being against my religion, this machine impresses way more than win 10. It does email, word processing, web browsing, bbc iplayer, netflix, youtube, even vlc just fine. office 365 subscription works. nice surprises all, and on decent HP hardware too. Small niggle: microsd card drivers are flaky and sometimes corrupt the entire microsd card. but since it's designed for cloud storage maybe that's not surprising.

I wanted to move away from using windows & eventually opted for a Chromebok & this particular HP model. Still early days but works well & so far, so good. There a a few things I can’t do with it (map updates to my Garmin satnav for example) but I was aware of the limitations prior to purchase. It appears to be well designed, compact & astecticlly pleasing to the eye, a good alternative & at a good price, recommended but do your research to ensure it will meet your requirements.

I was surprised having looked at the which site recently. They gave hp poor reviews for battery life honesty, but this was affordable;- charges fast which might be as good for some commutes.it was the cheapest product in store and so ticks my box as all these machines are super fast and for what most people are using them, regardless of hardware concerns and disk space is cloud use.the screen isn't exactly amazing at first look but its for work not media.

I knew a bit about chrome books as my daughter has one and I wanted something I could use for emails and shopping etc that was more user friendly than using my rather small iphone. I wasn’t bothered about the fact it doesn’t use windows and it instinctively feels like using an android phone - something I’m very familiar with. Apps can be downloaded from google play and it’s small and light making it very portable to move around the house . Great for the price.

The HP 11.6 Inch Celeron Chromebook was so easy to set up and I was using it within 10 minutes of taking it out the box.If you are looking for a notebook that is portable, compact and allows you instant internet access this is it.The only disappointment was that prior to purchasing it I was not aware that Google Chrome is phasing out Adobe Flash and there are clearly already some issues. I am sure there is a solution to come but information seems limited.

The Chromebook is a good portable device and easy to set up. My only two issues are,1 - It is not classed as a Laptop, so you have to install things like Microsoft office as an App. So be careful which type of Office you buy.2 - After managing to install office, the Apps all open in Read only and it is not easy to sort them out to work on.. You can't work from a USB or external hard-drive, it wants you to save to One drive. Which you internet for.

This was so easy to set up, I already have a Google account. Before I received it, I downloaded the user guide on a tablet.There are differences after using Windows, but there is a good help app installed on the chromebookThe screen is clear and you don't need to pay for a virus scan every year.This is better and faster than an expensive laptop and a netbook I have, which can no longer be used as there are no more Windows updates.I love it !

I found this laptop as a nice, portable alternative to larger one's. As it is a chromebook you can easily connect your gmail and google drive to your chromebook for instant access to files. As a student it's a perfect product as it allows me to work on documents on the go and saves directly to my google drive, which allows me to avoid the headache of losing my documents if anything happened to my laptop. Perfect for students and young professionals.

Bought this for my daughter for Christmas. She absolutely loves it. Does everything she needs it to do. She uses it for homework, music, games and Netflix. It's very light, easy to fit into a bag. Looks really good. The battery lasts for ages. She used it constantly Christmas day, it still had battery the next morning. I watched John Wick 3 on it. I was quite surprised at the screen quality, it's excellent. I would definitely buy another one.
