I've been wanting a blade for quite some time, when this years design was updated with less bezels and 8th gen Intel CPU I knew it would be a pretty good fit.Firstly, yes - you can get a cheaper laptop with similar specs, but this is for people who appreciate and want a high grade build quality.I have mine for professional use, mainly video editing and 3d Modelling & Animation.I love this machine, it's always a pleasure to work on and is a joy to look at. The power under the hood pretty much means I can do almost all media work on the go. I'm coming from a Dell Precision, so the size of this always amazes me.I've heard complaints that the blade with the 1070 can get quite hot,I've not had that problem yet with the 1060.Pros:- The build quality is excellent, it feels solid and is a pleasure to work on. Key stroke depth is just enough to feel satisfying.- For what's packed inside, it's incredibly light and thin. Not much else packs this much power in this form factor.- The 144hz screen will make it hard for you to work on a 30hz screen.- Speakers are decent for a laptop.- Trackpad feels really nice to use and is a decent size.- Battery lasts the working dayCons.- Razer's customer support is close to useless. I tried to buy from their site but had multiple problems so had to wait until it was released here on amazon. I feel more comfortable now having the product backed and fulfilled by amazon.- Another USB C would have been nice, as well as being able to charge through it.- No SD card reader- Buying on amazon meant I didn't get the free games and software that's comes with it on the razer store.

I was after a laptop that could operate as a replacement for my 4 year old tower, and also as a portable machine for development.....and so far I'm blown away.I run a 3440x1440 @ 75hz main display, and the gaming performance is surprisingly good! Just be careful is does get hot (80C+) on load, so I recommend an undervolt and a cooling pad. The fans kick in and are fairly loud, but not overly. You will notice them though. Some benchmarks (with adjusted settings and 3440x1440 @ 75hz - you will need to lower a few for this resolution):------------------------------------------------------Forza Horizon 3 - Ultra - 75FPSRise of the Tombraider - High/Ultra - ~50FPSDark Souls 3 - Ultra - 75FPSNi NoKuni 2 - High/Ultra - 65FPSMonster Hunter World - High - 60FPSAnything more than 3years old is over 75FPS.------------------------------------------------------If you're gaming on the inbuilt display (mine 144hz), everything is well over 60FPS so I would cap it to lower the heat output. The games I play dont really need the full 144hz and I prefer the quieter running machine.I think the 8750 was a bit overkill for the laptop, it runs so hot! Even on 20% load the CPU is 80c as soon as the boost kicks in. I've not noticed any thermal throttling though. I have lowered mine to 3.4Ghz boost and it's helped temps considerably. Some might not like that sacrifice though.Build quality is amazing. It's a fingerprint magnet though, and i'm very paranoid of scratching the black coating. (so far no issues after 4 months.I upgraded the m.2 to a Samsung EVO 1TB and it was very straightforward.

The device itself is excellent, really good and it's worth the money.BUTRazer quality control is abysmal. I myself returned it and had it replaced 3 times. That's four laptops that I got my hands on. First one was physically deformed from the factory, second one was hot, loud and made loud clicking noise. Third one had very significant backlight bleed, it was almost pure white and I couldn't change the refresh rate. Finally, after a month of sending Razer Blades back and forth, the fourth laptop behaves as you would expect - awesomely. If you want it to behave even better and be silent all the time, install Linux alongside Windows. The difference in performance is significant.Be advised, buy this laptop only if you have the time and resources to send it back and forth until you win the Razer QC lottery.

Beautifully made laptop with no flex in the keyboard or screen, a real pleasure to use. The air intake vents for the GPU are on the bottom of the laptop however and if you actually use it on your lap, you'll block the fan vents and it'll overheat like crazy. The solution is to use a lap desk - a kind of tray that you put on your lap and then place the laptop on top of. This not only gives you a flat surface to place the laptop on and therefore a good air intake so no overheating issues, but if you get one that's slightly larger than the laptop, you have somewhere to use a mouse too. One star lost because the 2nd function of the keys doesn't illuminate, making it necessary to memorise the location of them if you're using it to type a letter. Other than that, fantastic.

Beautiful, powerful, well balanced and a joy to use. Well worth its black Friday price.I did a Windows system backup via USB3 to an external SSD then replaced the internal 256 SSD with a 1TB version, installed Windows fresh and restored the system backup. Worked perfectly...Battery lasts ages when working in a coffee shop and gaming on power at home is a pleasure.Thermals are fine, display is great, keyboard and touchpad are great...How could it be improved? Illuminated shifted keys, Windows hello... and if they can keep this price range and battery life with a 4k 144HZ screen to go with the new 2080 MaxQ - Or maybe that would take a 3080 to drive?

The laptop is great. The design is great, 144hz is perfect. The keyboard feels nice to type with (im using it right now)the performance for gaming is great. can ran fortnite at ultra at a consistent 70+ fps.if you can afford it then i highly recommend this. it may be a bit pricey for some.Only problem is that it takes a lot of setting up for the chroma, screen, performance while unplugged (geforce experience limits fps to 30 fps while unplugged. restriction can be removed manually in the geforce experience program)Nice lightweight and is definetiley portable.4/5 for having a lot of setting up to do but works like a charm after.

This laptop is amazing especially because you can update components yourself. so for 105gbp i upgraded to intel 660p 1TB SSD and 32GB RAM. you can also repaste with thermal grizzly to lower temperatures. Follow youtube guides just buy a good torx 5 screwdriver. I damaged my case slightly using a cheap 5gbp screwdriver set but then I updated to 8GBP set which has black painted tip for better grip.Battery life is double my Lenovo gaming laptop y700.I am very happy and the tems are low and Geekbench multicore scoring above 20k.

2.9.2018

Might change rating to 5 if the battery life is great but im quite happy. It actually out performs my gaming rig in pubg but is loud and hot when gaming not that it really matter cus it quite when not. On minimum settings it was locked solid on my framecap of 120fps and never went below 110 in game even with the 1060 max-q. The keyboard its great but for a laptop its fine and the tackpad is great and almost too big.

This one is perfect. Beautiful, well built, refreshing rare is also quite good, no screen bleeding at all. The only problem I have with this machine, is it battery life. It lasts only 2.5 hours, which sometimes can be kind of inconvenient. But apart from that, I’m quiet satisfied with it. Well done razer.

13.3.2019

I love this laptop. I have had it for a couple of months now and I have nothing to complain about except the need for an external hard drive because the SSD is just not enough. Other than that, great build, easy to dust off and clean, Loud when playing but logical when playing on max graphics.

26.2.2019

This laptop is all i needed. I'm a creator and i needed great power, but also amazing looks. Thermals are great, no matter how much i push it it never thermal throttles. Very pleased with this product.

7.4.2020

This laptop is perfect for any needs. I've had mine 6 months now and it is perfect. It hasn't crashed once, even with games and software on at the same time. It's perfect.

3.11.2018

Great gaming laptop. Only matched in build quality by the MacBook Pro. Very quiet even when playing games. Upgradable RAM and SDD is a added bonus

31.12.2018

The machine is amazing! Sleek, powerful but heats up A LOT. I’m averaging 77 C without over clicking while elevated.

Laptop has some marks on it but works absolutely perfectly and as advertised. Extremely satisfied with it.
