The scroll wheel on my old Microsoft Basic optical mouse decided to stop working and to start preventing the normal function of the right click button so I had to buy a new one. At first I started looking at Microsoft mice again but, as I kept browsing, I remembered that a friend of mine not long ago ordered a Razer Deathadder Elite and was quite happy with it. It’s also worth mentioning that I’ve had a look at this mouse before at one time (don’t think it was the Elite though) since it kind of reminded me of that great Intellimouse series Microsoft put out years ago which I loved (but, sadly, they stopped making them). It’s worth mentioning that I’m a claw grip user and had problems adjusting to the shape of it at first, but I think that was only because all the mice I’ve used in the past had their right side not as round as this one’s which provided enough gripping space for my ring finger (necessary for lift-offs). I actually thought about returning it after the first day but kept sticking with it, even though the thought of returning it stayed with me. After two and a half weeks I can say that I got used to it and quite like the shape of this mouse. The materials used seem to be of good quality. The sensor on this thing is amazing! I really love the way it tracks even when slightly lifting it off the pad. It glides easily and is precise. The shape of LMB and RMB is perfect for palm grip, good for fingertip grip and decent for claw grip. The scroll wheel is perfectly positioned, the rubber on it gives good grip, its feedback while scrolling is just perfect and the RGB lighting in it is a nice bonus. The logo also has RGB lighting and you can select the colour and/or effects for both of them or separately. The cable is long enough and it’s braided which should provide enough longevity. The only reason this mouse got 3 stars instead of 5 is that the clicking mechanism on the LMB (left mouse button) randomly becomes mushy instead of being responsive and “clicky”. My friend has the same problem on the RMB. I guess they got greedy and went for a cheaper part for that. Not exactly what I would expect from a mouse this expensive or, for that matter, from a company like Razer but they all do it at some level. You might not be so unlucky and get one that actually works the way it’s supposed to.Update:I think the left mouse button problem is solved. Haven’t experienced it in a while so I guess that all it needed was a bit of usage, kind of like a breaking in period.Something else I can add to this review is that I changed the mousepad (got the Razer Firefly Hard Surface as a birthday gift) and it greatly improved the tracking on this mouse. It’s also much easier to move it around on the Firefly, it’s almost like it glides freely on it.Another thing to mention is the two buttons on the side of the mouse which changed my view on mice in general as they’re a must-have, capable of simplifying any task.

Firstly, I want to say I haven't ever owned a gaming mouse and I was previously using a logitech standard office mouse for gaming.Okay so I have been playing Rainbow Six Siege for about 4 hours and in between rounds just testing the accuracy by moving it to certain places on the screen. All i can say is wow the difference is huge! I was already an average player using the office mouse but this thing is taking me to the top of the table in game. This thing is accurate and it's easy to control. I would say i have smallish to medium hands and this fits my hand perfectly to the point that after 4 hours my wrist still feels comfortable. When i used the office mouse my wrist would hurt after a couple hours of gaming. The buttons press nice to, it's quite a satisfying feeling. When you connect your mouse to your PC/Laptop the software installation pops up. There is a lot of bloatware but you can just install the basic software like i did. This allows you to change the colours and DPI settings and it's very straight forward. The cable is another bonus. It's really thick and i can't imagine it breaking anytime soon as it's heavy duty. This is a complaint i see on other gaming mouse reviews.I was originally going to go for the Deathadder Elite but then i saw the V2 and watched loads of youtube videos. All said the V2 was better. I guess it should be as it is more expensive.Does it look durable? I would say so. I really don't know how gaming mice should feel but so it feels like it will last some time. But i guess only time will tell for now i'll give it five stars.I would say this mouse is worth it if you want to up your gaming but you don't want to blow the bank spending £100+.Also i read the sensor the V2 is the same sensor used on much more expensive mice!

Let's be honest here, you are never going to use 16,000 DPI. But is it worth buying? In my personal opinion, it is worth your money. It's smooth to move around, the grips are comfy to hold and don't slip out of your hand, and the way they designed the mouse to fit in your hand is right on the money. I'm not a mice expert, but as a consumer if there's one thing I can recommend to you, it's this mouse. Everything is spot on for me, though you might be different. Watch some reviews, look at some screenshots and see what you think, you might like it or you might not, it's not for everyone.Don't let the "Razer" brand sway your opinion because you've heard some people say they're bad, because they aren't all too bad in all honesty. Just because it's a common brand that you see people have, people like to hate on it. Of course there have been the odd occurrence where things have gone wrong for people and something has broken, but I suppose nothing lasts forever. The mouse won't break within a week though, let me reassure you.It has RGB lighting with over "16.8 million colours!" but it's just posh advertising lingo. The addition is nice, but you'll never see it if you play often. It is a fantastic addition though to compliment an already great mouse. One thing I have to say for the people that buy this mouse, don't go in thinking you will immediately get used to the mouse, because you won't. Your aim might be all over the place and you might have to rethink how you aim, but professional leagues use mice like this. You will get used to it and it will be much more better experience. I've personally gotten more headshots than I ever would've with my stock office mouse.

The DeathAdder Elite is the first gaming mouse I have had the chance to get to grips with. It's been quite a pleasant year of use, for the most part.Use for productivity has been quite good - the precision of the sensor and customisable DPI settings of the Razer maximising my speed, particularly in using Microsoft Excel and the case manager that my employer uses. The massive pads at both ends also help the mouse to easily glide across any surface with very little effort indeed. This has helped my wrist recover from the RSI that that was induced the hideous Lenovo things I previously dealt with at work. Nice little win there. On Facebook, SketchUp and Steam's storefronts, the main weakness shines through. For one, your finger would never slide off the wheel if it was made of hot butter. The downside of the surface that ensures this is that it has all of the easygoing comfort of a fine gravel being forcefully driven into your fingers. Off the back of this, it's blisters ahoy. For the real core purpose of the DeathAdder Elite RGB Lightshow with Finger Contours, FPS, it's not going to let you down.Possibly a little small, light and flat for some, it's impossibly easy to manipulate and the shape of all the buttons means you're not missing them for the desk surface or any of the other buttons, you're not slipping away unless you mean to and your accuracy is probably at its maximum. As previously mentioned, I would have liked to get some adjustable weighting, slightly less pronounced DPI buttons, maybe 12-13mm more height and no rubber pads on the sides that my oily skin can grease to slick. Though, this is some pretty extreme nitpicking I'm doing at the end.

The Deathaddder Elite mouse itself is excellent: nice shape, comfortable dotted soft plastic at sides and nice texture to hard plastic shell. Lightweight making small movements easy and controlled. Super accurate optical sensor provided you use an appropriate mouse pad surface. And adjustable resolution if you don't want huge sensitivity. Buttons have a nice feel. I've had it for approaching 1 year now and all the buttons and everything work as they should - no problems. But there is a fly in the soup: I want to control the RGB lighting. Specifically I want to switch the RGB off totally. And I want it to stay that way forever. To do that I need to download Razor's software application. But that requires me to log in and set up an account with Razor so that they can fill out a database about me. Sure... I can opt out of marketing, but they still want to know all about me. Once set up, I need to keep the junkware on my PC working in the background. I can't uninstall the Razor app, as the mouse does not have an onboard ROM that remembers settings; so without the app remaining a background process the mouse reverts to RGB unicorn vomit. Also when booting the device starts with RGB before turning off. Kinda annoying. Hence 1 star dropped: 4/5.Apparently the Mamba has an onboard ROM that remembers RGB settings so that you can uninstall the junkware once set up.

Well hopefully find this interesting as the Death Adder V2 is actually a decent step up from the previous model which I bought about 3 years ago and still going strong. The first point about the DeathAdder 2 is that the mouse skates (feet) feel a lot smoother than on the Deathadder 1 and they feel a lot more durable. Also having replaced the skates on my V1 the process for replacement (not that you would need to for a couple of years) looks a lot more simple with only two strips that you would have to fit.The software from Razer is good but please be aware that it can cause lag issues in some games, so some people choose to install the software, setup the mouse to their specs and then uninstall the software. The mouse will store profile on the device which means... you can actually take it to somewhere else and it will behave exactly like it does on your pc! Great if you fancy having a lan or using the mouse on a device that does not have the software installed.I'm really happy with the quality of the mouse, I have long fingers and the mouse is very comfortable to hold but it feels lighter which helps with movement. If you are happy with the V1 I'd urge you to try out the V2 as I am really happy with the upgrade, the speed of the mouse and new lighter weight make it worth the money. If you liked the V1 you'll love the V2 :)

Hello, so where do i start... first of all i can't say nothing about durability as i have the mouse for only 3 days. It has a very good shape at least for me and its surface feels like it has some grippy texture on it even tho you cant see it, and it feels very good in my hand.it has a symphony of colours with the chroma lighthing effect , wich is very bright and can be customized in the synapse software, every mouse button can be reprogrammed to do basically what ever you want, except the left click, also within the software . The sensor is i can safely say the best that i ever tried , i didnt experienced any hiccups with it ,tracking its spot on, and it glides very smoothly.Had a few high end gaming mice so far, like mad catz rat 9 ,razer mamba 2012, logitech g403 and a lot of other not so high end mice but none of those are even close to this one in my opinion. If you want to save a few quid you can go for the normal deathadder elite, but for 5 pounds more (at the time of purchase) i went for the destiny version just because of the looks, the normal one looks a bit boring, but this black and white along with the croma lights its very eye-catching .

I had an original Deathadder mouse for 11 years and it still works great and if anything only needs a good clean. However, I decided with the mouse seemingly immune from dying it was time to upgrade of my own accord and I immediately opted for the newest version of the Deathader mouse. I never chose the newest Razer mouse the Viper, which has additional features such as optic buttons and a new cable braid that is supposed to glide very well. Instead I went straight for the Deathadder as I don't believe there is any other mouse out there with better ergonomics for my quite large hand. This Deathadder Elite is even better than the original that served me well for 11 years as it is better with a material that has a gripper matte finish.Additionally rubber textured grips have been added to the sides, the mouse wheel has been improved substantially with rubber grips, an additional two buttons have been added on the top to easily bind DPI settings on the fly and of course it features full Chroma support which looks great paired with the Huntsman keyboard. If this mouse lasts me even half as long as the last Deathadder I'll be extremely happy.

As an avid gamer of some 25 years, I've been waiting for a proper left handed gaming grade-mouse for quite some time, and upon hearing about this mouse ordered one immediately on next day-delivery, along with a razer destructor mousemat. The packaging is excellent, (the "book" packaging flap even opens left to right instead of right to left; a nice touch for the typically detail-obsessive lefty gamers out there..)The smoothness, precision and most importantly the FEEL of the mouse are beyond explanation; I really wasn't expecting to be this surprised by a mouse, but it's just.... phenomenal. I see many, many happy hours of wrist-strain free and accurate gaming ahead.I didn't know a mouse could be this good.Additionally, the left and right mouse buttons are reversed at the hardware level; no need to configure "swap mouse buttons" every time you plug the mouse into a different PC. The only gripe I can find with the product so far is the sensitivity toggle is on the underside of the mouse (but sensitive changes can be made to a keyboard key with the included drivers anyway).

The mouse shape fits my hand really well. It is very comfortable to use. The main buttons (mouse 1 and 2) have light resistance which i was not a fan at the beginning but i got used to them quite fast. Some mice will use narrow main buttons, but not this one. It has well spread wide buttons and that is a definite plus in my book. The scroll is of moderate resistance with a firm mouse 3 - very nice. The DPI buttons below are small and obstructive with medium resistance. The 2 buttons on the side are surprisingly big and really comfortable. They are also of medium resistance but feel firmer than the DPI ones and lighter than mouse 3.The software in use is Razer Synapse. You have all the standard functions with customizing the buttons, lightning, calibrating the mouse on different mats. The DPI is fully customizable and you can set every level with the preferred number. A definite upgrade over my old mouse that had set in DPI levels. This is my first Razer mouse and my extremely happy with it. Absolutely recommended.

Had this mouse since 2013, not the elite but the classic esports, recently had to purchase this as after nearly 5 years i got my first problem with it. Does some weird double clicking and grip under the mouse is worn where gliding across the mouse mat isn’t as smooth, but also my mouse mat was also old so that could play a part in that.I’ve played csgo since 2015 using this mouse everyday and DMing a lot and only recently had problems, this mouse lasts, easy to get use to, just enough buttons and great software, only problems i’ve had are due to old age and the mouse wheel sometimes to sensitive or not sensitive enough when jumping, but if you are new to PC gaming or just wanting a simple but professional mouse, this is the one for you. Just also note kennyS worlds best CSGO AWPer uses this exact mouse and many other pros do just in case my other points didn’t fully convince you, trust me it’s great price for practically one of the best gaming nice out there

I had been using Logitech MX Master 2S for work and G402 for gaming a couple of years. About 6 months ago I gave my g402 to a friend and stuck with my good old Mx Master 2S for both work and gaming. After a while, I have felt great pain in my wrist. Especially while gaming, the mouse weight and activation weight become just too much for sharp movements and smooth pointing. WIth Razer DeathAdder V2, I don't need to force my wrist to make a sharp move. It is like I move my hand and hand alone. However, when I unboxed it and started using it I felt a strange feeling when I click (left or right). There is more than one click sound and feel after it registers.I googled it and it seems to be a common side effect of mechanical click mouses. Yet after a couple of hours using it is gone for good. One and only minus would be de bloatware you need to use if you like to customize your mouse. Otherwise, it is a perfect mouse for work or gaming.

One of the best mice for people with larger hands, that's if you want to aim your best. It's designed for palm-grippers, as the longer back hugs your palm more than the Logitech G403. Amazing, snappy 3389 sensor - although this isn't necessarily a must-have if you prefer ZOWIE mice, which for the most part, still use the 3310. The RGB isn't quite as vibrant nor does it transition as smooth as my G403's lighting does. My copy also has a lighter right click than left click, although this isn't a massive problem for me. The mouse has a pleasant rough plastic texture which handles sweat better than the smooth plastic texture of my G403 and ZOWIE mice. All in all, this is a fantastic mouse and it is easy to see why it is probably the best-selling mouse out of them all. It's certainly not perfect, as ZOWIE's mice have better shapes, but it's good enough for me to use this as my main mouse.

I bought this because I find it very annoying when there is no option in programs to switch the buttons over for left handers - forcing you to use the right click as your main button. This obviates that option as it's set up so that the left button is your main button anyway. This in itself, for me is worth the purchase.I also find it very pleasant to use. It has a nice feel to it, the buttons are light to touch but very responsive. The wheel in my old mouse was a little wild when scrolling, this one much more precise. The extra buttons are also very useful. They function as back and forward when browsing which is easy and I now use all the time and, better yet,you can macro them for games to obviate extra keyboard hotkeys. In sum, this is an excellent mouse and having a left-handed version makes it all the better.

I've always stayed away from razer products old razer mouse years ago was Terrible for many reasons but after my steelseries sensi mouse failed my friends said to try the this mouse and here are my impressions1. It really is a joy to hold nice shape and really grippy sides2. The optical sensor is very accurate and tracks really well much better then my Lazer in my sensi mouse it says it goes upto 1600 dpi but if I'm honest I doubt I'll go over 3000 dpi3. Razer software has improved alot since I last used it and very easy to customize the mouse4. Being a chroma mouse I thought there would be more customization effects lighting is quite basicAmazon as all ways being a prime member really fastdelivery but this was being sold by a seller though Amazon and box was a little beat up but not opened
