Razer Nari Wireless Gaming HeadsetI have got through so many headsets in recent years - four by Sony, a couple by Sennheiser, a few by Creative and a number of sets by brands I don’t even recall the name of. Some have been aimed at gaming use whilst others have been more for audio. They have all had good and bad points. Most recently a couple have broken at the weakest point - almost by design - at the articulating joint holding the ear pieces onto the head strap. These Razer Nari headphones are substantial and well balanced compared to many that I have used. They are of really good build quality and are well made and presented in Razer livery bright green on black. They are a full over the eardesign and are really comfortable even for big ears like mine. The head strap is of the adjustable double sprung design so they fit nicely onto your head and the weight is well distributed and they don’t slip. All headphones become tiresome over many hours of use - it’s your heads way of saying take a break - but these are better than many I’ve used. The Razer Nari Wireless will also work wired with the 3.5mm jack cable supplied. This is a good quality nylon braided cable with a right angled 4 pole 3.5 mm plug at one end to a straight 4 pole 3.5 mm plug at the other. This will allow connection to most PC and many portable device audio outputs directly. The cable is 1.4m long. There is also a nylon braided charging cable which is USB for connecting from PC or charger to a microUSB connection at the headset. Both USB and microUSB connections have green Razer branded insets. The manual recommends an initial four hour charge out of the box.The head set ear cups are full over the ear type and have a removable gel filled padded cup for comfort and pressure relief. The driver cups are substantial and there are a number of controls on the Left ear cup as well as it housing the microphone. The microphone is housed within the case and extends or retracts as needed. It tucks completely out of the way and there is also a microphone mute button. As well as the microphone the left ear cup houses the on|off switch and an in game volume balance control between chat and game audio. Also on the left cup there is the 3.5mm socket for direct cable connection along with the micro USB charging port. The right ear piece houses the main volume control and stores the RF USB dongle used for wireless connection between the head set and the PC. Wireless mode uses a 2.4GHZ radio frequency and the USB dongle needs to be removed from the Right ear housing where it is stowed and put into a USB port on your PC.On Mac running OSX 10.11.6 the dongle was immediately recognised and gave options for selection in settings. The volume is controlled from the headset. For music audio the quality was very good with good range and discrete but not overpowering bass. I’d say well balanced. Sound preferences are notoriously subjective, but I really like this headset.Wireless range held up to about twenty feet and two rooms away before breaking up.At listenable volumes there is very little spill from this headset so it won’t annoy other people in the room. The head set does have sound isolating qualities and is very immersive. The new Suspiria soundtrack is scary listening on these. The Razer Nari Headset supports THX Spatial Audio through Razer Synapse 3 software on Windows PCs.This is next generation stuff for many of us that will make games and media generally more immersive as it creates a 360 degree soundstage through the headset. Surround sound for your head. I’ve not used it yet and can’t vouch for it.The Nari ear pieces have LEDs embedded in the Razer logo which is controllable through the Razer software in Windows - by default it glows a solid green. This is a really good head set which will be appreciated by Gamers and non gamers alike and will complement anyone with a current Razer set up or laptop.

I bought the Nari Ultimates for Xbox and initially, I was so excited to get a top of the range premium quality headset. But from day one, there was just one issue, and its a major one which I will come on to in just a second.Firstly, the sound quality, all I can say is WOW!!! Crystal clear audio and when used in conjunction with Dolby Atmos, I have never heard sound quite like it. Pin pointing enemies in Warzone or enjoying a big blockbuster movie, I wouldnt want to use any other headset.Secondly, the haptics. For me, it's a function I very rarely use. It was fun to use for a couple of weeks but I find myself turning the function off 95% of the time. These headphone just dont need it (why detract from the awesome sound they produce?)Finally, the reason I cannot recommend this headset to anyone - the mic. It is just down right terrible. I play alot with friends. Andwhether we are in game chat aor in a private party, my friends struggle to hear me. I find myself trying to adjust my headset more than actually playing and enjoying time on my Xbox with my friends. I have tried the headset on both my One X and the new Series X and I envounter the same problem time after time after time. I have tried turning off the mic monitioring, I have the boom mic in countless positions, there is no online support or software/firmware update available as they are not compatible with Synapse 3, hell, I have even turned off the 2.4GHz spectrum on my router to see if that was causing interference with the headset (as the headset connects via bluetooth direct to the Xbox and bluetooth runs on the 2.4GHz spectrum). I finally contacted Razer support and they kindly replaced the headset. The new headset however had EXACTLY the same problem. As a consumer, I should not have to go to these lengths to try and find a solution, especially when purchasing such a high end piece of kit, and as of yet, a solution has still not been found. Please check the reviews before you purchase on other websites too, as it could turn out to be a very costly mistake.

My son who is an avid gamer and he absolutely loves these. He uses via blue tooth to listen to music off his iPhone etc and uses to watch TV into the wee small hours. As I have mentioned he’s an avid gamer and on his PS4 he has happily paid for and used other brands of headphones with mic both wired and blue toothed while gaming. None have matched the quality, design or sound he has experienced with these. These headphones have blown him away. Listening to his music he has appreciated the brilliant sound and likewise with his games .....TV equally the sound is amazing.....his TV is 4K Samsung and his PS4 is an older version which I don’t know if this makes a difference to sound quality or not.Hismates can understand him much better the quality of sound through the mic has been a breath of fresh air apparently. Before he used to put the volume up much to high causing reverb and noise so everyone could not hear him clearly, without the volume up high his previous headphones were a waste of time.....with these he doesn’t need to. The quality of sound and clarity has been commented on by his gaming pals, which as they are male has to be vast otherwise they wouldn’t have noticed. He’s a happy bunny to say the least. Does he recommend.....yes. Price point for quality and sound I would say is more than reasonable. The headphones themselves are very cleverly designed, a place to keep the Bluetooth dongle, the mic slips in and out For easy use and he says without a doubt these are by far the most comfortable headphones he’s ever used to game in or to listen to music....cool and comfortable, they even have a groove for glasses wearers now who else designs headphones that do that at this price? If your not convinced by this review I’m sad...these would make the most brilliant present for anyone out there that has a partner, hubby or just a loved one who is a gamer.Brilliant....don’t dither.....invest

Great Looking headset with exception build quality, Study strong metal finish. Retractable but incredibly poor-quality mic. Very comfortable when wearing for as long as 8 hours straight in a day and the battery life is also quite exceptional easily lasting 15 hours with varying use. Sound quality is also a massive positive, the 7.1 surround sound is great to hear. Bass lovers will love this headset, The Battlefield game series show this off with ease, allowing explosions and gun shots to literally shake the headset. The headset muffs are quite thick but are light enough to not be an issue or strain your neck.Overall amazing wireless headset It’s just a shame that the mic is very poor.More Depth:The box is a made from a generic cardboard which is typical with some of Razers products, this doesn’t impact me personally with the headset but with this price tag you would expect something more. Inside, the headset is neatly displayed with the manuals hidden at the bottom, the headset sits on top of a plastic cut out along with the audio jack cable. Removing the headset its quickly apparent that Razer paid close attention to the feel of the headset, it’s made completely from light weight metal. The padding that sits on your ears is an incredibly soft, thick and squishy and will easily cover the entire ear. The headset does swivel 90 degrees but backwards, they rotate inwards towards your chest, this feels more like an error as it means you cannot listen to music outwards. The Bluetooth dongle hides well in the headset and is very thin so doesn’t draws attention. Conclusion:Overall the headset is incredibly comfortable, light and lasts for a long time without charging. It looks pleasing but a little thick. The only negative is the Mic quality, it’s very poor but you will get away with casual gaming with friends even if they complain a little.

The Razer Nari is a good gaming headset. I use it with my PS4 Pro and the setup was very easy and it paired very quickly. It comes in a lovely green and black box. Included is the headset, a USB wireless receiver ( which is found in the right ear cup. At first I thought it was missing. Duh! ) , charging cable and a 3.5mm combo cable for using with Nintendo Switch or Mobile Devices. They are quite comfortable when on and have a self adjusting headband. However I find them quite heavy and need to take them off after a while. They have hidden indented channels in the cooling gel infused cushions to eliminate pressure if you are a glasses wearer which is a nice touch. There is a game/chat balance wheel so that you can select your preference. I don’t use the headset for chat myself so cant comment on the sound quantity of the mic. I have it turned off and only use them for playing at night when family are asleep. The mic glows red when switched off and the Razer logos on the ear cups glow green when in use.The sound quality is good but I wouldn’t say I’m blown away. They may get better the more I use them. All in all a good quality headset but for me they are slightly heavy and because they are over ear your ears do tend to get quite hot.But that applies to most gaming headsets I have used.

That's branding and advertising for you.Overall this isn't worth the money for gaming unless you're after the specific features it offers. I didn't think it would be useful but the slider to lower and raise chat/game volume has been brillaint, can't catch what someone is saying I can flick down the volume briefly. Or if someone is talking too much I just lower the chat and bring up the game volume. Very handy, kinda nieche but alright nonetheless.Had issues with the software, wouldn't send the THX spatial audio out properly, then I had issues where Synapse 3 wouldn't list the games I was playing so I couldn't enable them per app.Wasn't displeased with my purchase until the left earphone stopped working.Seems like a faulty cable. This is my third time buying audio from Razer and well I think their three chances are now up. I hear about the build quality and was never subject to poor quality until I started buying the headsets.TL;DR.Good for what it does, if you've the money to spend and like the features/visuals, go for it! Otherwise find a cheaper pair of headphones that do the exact same thing with better sound and build quality.

pros-battery life lasts up to about a day and a half-great sound quality- noise cancellation is decent-chroma works pretty well (first time using chroma anything)-the headset has infused gel making the headset really comfortable to wear and I mean really comfortable.-easy on headset controlsCons-the microphone is hot garbage, it’s on the same level of quality of an Xbox 360 mic.-the headset is a bit bulky, this isn’t a huge problem just due to the ergonomics of the headset and how comfortable it is.- (READ THIS) the micro usb sent with the headset is not good at all, very flimsy! This is one of the main problems with the headset I found, it broke within 4 days of using it, had to go and buy another micro usb.I wouldn’t recommend keeping the lead it comes with.Overall, it isn’t the best but it definitely has its pros. I am an ex CSGO player, used to play at LEM and I know my team would kill me if I tried to talk to them using this microphone. The headphones work amazingly well, in terms of sound, noise cancellations, bass, hz etc. But all it’s additional features are pretty average.

The Razer Nari headset is primarily aimed at gamers. It looks cool and feels very build. The sound quality in terms of audio and voice is good (as you would expect from Razer) however it is far from the best on the market. But let’s be honest, if you’re buying these it is not because you are an audiophile, it is because you are a gamer. And if that’s the case then these definitely look the part – a mixture of metal and plastic they will fit in well with whatever cool PC build you have. You can connect the headphones wirelessly to your PC using the included USB dongle, however a nice add-on is that there is also a 3.5mm port which mean you can also use a wire. This also means you can use the headphones for other devices (e.g.your phone if it still happens to have a 3.5mm port). The headphones charge over micro-USB (I would have preferred USB C, but I guess we are not quite there yet). These being Razer headphones of course there is some cool software to link it up to the rest of your tech- in particular you can download and link it to Razer Synapse/Chroma.

My sons have been testing these headphones out for gaming purposes, while I have used them for listening to music. I don’t often use these, over the ear, design any more, but found them really comfortable. They also have the added bonus of shutting out other noise really well. Although they are large, they didn’t slip and my sons reported they were comfortable with longer use. Like so many earphones now, these are wireless, but you do get a charging cable, which will fit your PC. You do need to charge these for a few hours before use.On the right ear, you have volume control, while the left ear has the on/off switch and in game volume balance control. Overall, I thought the sound was excellent. For listening to music, these were clear and comfortable. The microphone was less of a success. Both my sons said the sound was poor and cut out several times. As these are fairly expensive, this was quite disappointing. So the sound quality would be rated a 5 and the microphone probably a 3. I have opted for the middle ground and rated these a 4.

Overall I like these headphones, the sound is great it's slightly bottom heavy but just finely so, clear midrange and clean hight frequencies. It's just ever so lightly tuned to a movie/gaming balance, but not too much so it takes away from enjoying music. The mic can be better but for my use (mostly skyping) it's more than adequate, and the handy mike/headphone balance control is a nice touch.Batteries last long enough, I haven't had it unexpectedly run out of power. More than often I am surprised that it still has power. It's comfortable to wear for long periods, but I don't buy the hype about cooling gel infused cushions. What I don't like:I was looking forward to the indents in the ear cushions for glasses wearers,as depicted on hte packaging. Sadly there was no indent, that is simply false advertising on the part of Razer.500MB free space for a pair of headphones? Seriously? 500MB took us to space, surely headphone drivers can be written to need less that 500MB.

After browsing for what felt like weeks after deciding I wanted to upgrade my old trusty headset from 6-7 years ago, I eventually settled on the Nari. I’ll review it in 3 parts, which to me are the things that have made it a great purchase.Comfort. These things are incredibly comfortable. Had a 5 hour gaming session with them last night. The cooling gel is very noticeable, and doesn’t feel gimmicky. I’ve got a fairly large head, and the self adjusting headband is durable and comfortable with good weight distribution. Flawless in this department.Sound quality. Again, extremely good. I’m not a huge audiophile but for gaming, everything sounds wonderful and it’s easy to mess with the eq settings in synapse.I’ve used the software for a while so this may be why there’s some negative reviews surrounding it. I’ve not had any issues with it.I forgot I started writing this review but yeah they’re really good would buy +++

I have looked at so many options for a replacement headset and in the end decided on these, despite mixed reviews.Good points:Light, surprisingly lightweight considering their sizeComfortable, I wear hearing aids so I needed a headset that will encompass my ear, and my hearing aids, these do that easilyEasy to use, setup ETCMicrophone is spot on, I have received many positive comments about the improvement in voice clarity over my previous headset.Bad pointsAs I said they are massive, this is not a concern for me but it could put some offSound quality is good, but honestly not great. If you are picky about your music they may not be for youOverall I am very happy with my purchase, they tick all the boxes for me, yes the sound quality is not the best but I bought them mainly for voice calls with some music playing in the background sometimes, and for that they are 100% the right choice.

A great set of headphones that will appeal to gamers and to just listen to some music. Gaming quality is superb, I can’t comment on the mic. For listening to the odd Bowie track these Razer Nari are on a par with my Bose QC25 with a bit deeper bass than the Bose.I was sceptical about the cooling gel but it really does work well. Half an hour with the Bose and my ears are burning, much better with the Nari.At first I was a bit uncomfortable with the size and weight. These do weigh over twice the Bose and are much bigger. This feeling soon went away because the Nari are very comfy and the weight is not noticed.I do tend to get a bit of slip if I move my head down. The USB Bluetooth dongle is very easy to set up and during the set up the Razer Synapse is down loaded but is only accessible if you create an account. Lots of customisation, lights and stuff, if you want it, I prefer not to bother.

This is an excellent pair of headphones. The sound reproduction is easily as good as my Sennheisers, which cost quite a bit more. All aspects of the sounds are reproduced in high quality, from bass to treble, all a joy to listen to.They are a large looking pair of phones, but a lot of the bulk is the excellent comfort padding and coolIng gel. This makes them light and comfortable to wear for long periods.Noise cancellation also very good.Set up is simple, and straightforward. The overall construction is very high quality, as as the extra clever bits - like the fabric wrapped connection lead and the “hidden” dongle. The only thing I was less than delighted with was the microphone. It is pretty good, but not more than that. That said, even if you only buy them to listen to music they are still good value!

This headset is by far one of the best headsets out there! Firstly, the quality is just perfect and can hear everything fine. I use this headset for 10+ hours every day and never had a problem. I can walk around my entire house without any disconnection or interruptions, and battery life is very long. The thing that stands out for me on this headset is that the ear cups never get warm and always stay at a nice temperature. Noise cancellation is spectacular I can't hear anything else when I have these on and make my gaming experience very immersive!100% recommend this headset to anyone who needs a great long-lasting headset.Criticism: The mic on this headset has good sensitivity, however,it is extremely bad quality. I'm assuming this is because it's wireless.
