After reading some of the negative reviews I was a bit apprehensive, but my unit (in the 24 hours since I got it) has been working well. My 'daily driver' laptop up until recently was a first-gen Surface Book with discrete GPU, so I might toss some comparisons with it here and there. Here's the good and the bad:GOOD:- The screen can be pretty bright and the sound is excellent (though on that score, the Surface Book's screen is brighter and its colours more accurate).- The trackpad is REALLY good, very responsive (I loved the Surface Book's trackpad, but this one is much better).- It performs well enough on World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth,I am getting around 60 average fps with graphics at 10 (compared to getting 20-30 fps with graphics at 1 on the Surface Book).- Maybe it's just me, but I rather like the keyboard and typing experience, I don't understand the complaints. That said, the Surface Book's keys are slightly better, though not as good for games.- The battery life is much better than expected, some of the reviewers complained about 3-4 hours, I'm getting closer to 6-7 (when not gaming).- The fans are very quiet, and I hear no coil whine.- Very nice design, not as gimmicky as other gaming laptops I've seen, I wouldn't mind taking this to a board meeting.- Good microphone.BAD:- It can get warm when doing slightly CPU demanding tasks like installing applications. When gaming, it gets warm though not to the point that it's uncomfortable, certainly a hand-warmer though.- Getting the best gaming performance does require a bit of tinkering with the Razer Synapse software (pre-installed), when I tried World of Warcraft out of the box I was a bit underwhelmed with the fps (30-50 with graphics at 10), after maxing CPU and GPU performance on Razer Synapse my average fps increased by like 30.- When you plug in a headset, if you want to keep using the laptop's microphone (which you should), you will get a little notification pop-up that asks you whether your headset is headset-only or has a microphone. Make sure to pay attention to that (it will hide quickly), otherwise your microphones won't work at all (select headset-only). Also, your speakers will stop working at all when you have the headset in, as Razer by default uses only one audio device driver (you can't use the speakers for some applications and the headset for other applications, which I can on my desktop). There might be a way around that, but I haven't found it.- No SD card slot.OVERALL:I'm pretty satisfied with it, though I think it is only a good value for the money if you're an intensive gamer like me, or do creative work on GPU-intensive apps.

Not much to say, I adore absolutely everything about this laptop and don't feel one bit guilty shedding out a good bit of money for it. The battery life leaves a bit to be desired but its far from even a medium level issue since I would rarely use it on battery and if I ever did, I wouldn't need to use it for longer than 2-3 hours which the battery can obviously handle. My only gripe would be the reviews and how many people seem to have issues either right away or down the line. At the time of writing this I've had the blade for about a month and so far have had zero issues (except for not being able to boot from the HDD/my old PC's SSD and only being able to boot from the default 128gb M.2 NVMe,which is a mild annoyance as you have to manually direct everything to the D: drive). For an average high end 'gamer' and/or designer/music producer/etc the blade is incredible and I don't see any other issues that some other reviews state like light bleeding which I have absolutely none of or how the lid doesn't close down symmetrically with the base? (which it does perfectly for me). For an average user that doesn't review and handle laptops for a living there's nothing close to noticeably bad or wrong with it.The only other mild annoyance is how big of a fingerprint magnet the build is but for something that looks as nice as this, and attracts fingerprints BECAUSE it looks as nice as this with the aluminium finish used, I'd much rather have it this way like a blade or macbook than something made out of plastic, even if it has a super high end plastic finish - it still won't look as good unless I see something that proves me otherwise. All in all it is DEFINITELY worth it if you can afford it and being able to use it efficiently for not just gaming but for work or creative purposes alongside gaming its even better. If you get a good one, which based off of other reviews, seems sort of like a roulette and maybe I was just incredibly fortunate to get one this good, it is worth its price without a doubt.

Really good laptop, not the best battery life but mines usually plugged in anyway. AMAZING for gaming, the RTX 2060 handles all games I throw at it at max settings comfortably. I was torn between the 2060 and the 2070 max Q variant but I watched a comparison video (YouTube: Jarrods tech) and there’s not that much difference in performance between them so thought I’d save some money and get this one. It does get a bit hot but it is very thin and it’s expected, most ‘thin and light gaming’ laptops do I guess? The keyboard does get warm while gaming but it’s not uncomfortable. Fan noise could be an issue for some users I would imagine. The fans do get quite loud but I tend to use headphones so it doesn’t bother me.Some people have under volted the CPU to bring temperatures down but I haven’t seen the need to really.I also chose this laptop because it hasn’t got all the silly aggressive ‘gamer’ looks that you usually get with laptops like this, it looks quite subtle apart from the green razer logo glow on the lid and the RGB keyboard but the keyboard lights can be turned off but the logo glow can’t. I take it to the office with me and it just looks like a ‘regular’ laptop if that makes sense?Overall this is a SOLID well made laptop and very high quality, it reminds me of a Mac book. If I would suggest anything to potential buyers I would probably buy a 1 or 2 TB 2.5 inch SSD drive to put into it along with the 512GB M.2 drive that comes with it, you will run out of space very quickly especially if you’ll be using it for gaming. I also upgraded the RAM from 16GB to 32GB but this is not necessary.

What can I really say that hasn't been discussed in most of the available reviews online? This is in my opinion one of the best gaming laptops ever produced. It's obviously powerful, even though there are other laptops with similar specs that perform a bit better. However, what those laptops compromise is even the last bit of elegance or portability. I feel that we have to make a distinction between a laptop and a 'portable desktop'. There are a few laptops available from ASUS that get close, but they usually have some sort of quick in their design. The Blade delivers almost Apple levels of quality, great performance and cooling, a footprint smaller than the latest MacBook Pro (but ticker),a huge trackpad , front facing speakers (they are just fine, nothing spectacular) and a very convenient Windows Hello camera.Of course there a few problems with the laptop. Despite the fact that it maintains very respectable temperatures while gaming if you increase the fan speed through the included Synapse software, the whole laptop gets warm even when used for light tasks, as the metal body acts as some sort of passive cooler. The UK version doesn't have backlight for the second function of the keys.Mine also came with a manufacture defect, because the screen suffers form backlight bleeding in the corners. Make sure to check yours when it arrives!

This laptop at it's current price is definitely worth it and I am very happy about my purchase. My biggest worry was Razer's quality control issues which were prominent with it's laptops but the one I received was in great condition. The only problem with it was slight backlight bleeding at the bottom of the screen which was only visible at pure black screens. Other than that it is just what I wanted.Pros:Great performance for gaming and content creationVery portable (however it's not that light due to having a metal chassis)Very very good build quality, it feels premium and strongDecent battery life (making display 60 hz at half brightness and doing light work ran for 6 to 7 hours)Amazingscreen with great colour accuracyGreat trackpadHas an empty 2.5 inch slot for an ssd or hard drive which can easily be addedCons:Slight backlight bleeding as mentioned earlierNo windows hello IR camera for the model I bought (only available for advanced models)Although the keyboard has good travel and feels good to type on, it's layout is very undersirableOverall I am very happy with this product and recommend it at it's current price.

I have had it for 1 month now and been very happy. It is on all fronts an upgrade from my old Alienware 15 R2. As it is so thin, I am finding myself more often bringing it around to work in different places. Having everything on one Solid State Drive really makes a difference - as there is just never any loading. The battery life is very good, provided one is not using the graphics card. This suits me well. I can sit anywhere for 5 hours and work without needing battery, but if I play a demanding game, I will want to be by a charger. It is also really nice that there was no bloatware on install (except Cortana and Microsoft Edge). Only downside I have noticed is that there is no Ethernet cable input.I have so far been fine gaming on Wifi, but could imagine a location somewhere where an ethernet cable would provide a more stabile connection. Would buy again.

Purchased on Prime Day as a 'Used - Very Good Condition' item so was heavily discounted. Worth noting that as it was a used item, the quality of the product differs across every unit so it is at times luck of the draw. Both myself and my cousin purchased one and his had a feint scratch but mine had a damaged screw and bottom base as the previous owner unsuccessfully tried opening the unit (see photo). It is something I have lived with due to the price/discount and performance itself is great as this laptop has enough processing power, memory, and graphics performance to rival mid to top end gaming desktops!Laptop also looks great with the chroma keyboard RGB lighting although the key switches may not be for everyone

Okay, first off, I'm a huge fan of Razer products. The reasons why we're justified with my latest purchase of the Razer Blade 15 base model. The packaging is second to none. Tightly packed and using top quality materials. Nice touch with the screen/keyboard dust cover for wjej you aren't using the machine. The power adapter is slim and feels solid. Nice rubber cable management attached. The laptop itself is quiet even when under load, I play Ark with a fair few mods and this handles the game on epic settings perfectly. Every product I have ever bought from this company really is head and shoulders above its competitors. Keep up the awesome work! Thanks.

Looks smart. It came with bad backlight bleed of which I had to sort by using a driving license in between the display and bezels, the speakers where very crackly so I had to find new drivers from real tek, they should not have left the factory without being tested in depth... rtx 2060, smart bit off kit I average 198 FPS on cod the battery saver options keep getting stuck on the eco mode which is to do with the razer power plan, I have now sorted that out too. For the money it should come faultless yet it was at a good price at the time off purchase

Bought my laptop on amazon on the 4th of December 2019, everything came as planned and I'm amazed at the build quality and the premium feel of the laptop.I got the base model and for me, it is more than enough, I travel a lot and the Razer Blade 15 is super lightweight and you are not ashamed of taking it out at the airport.Noise 8/10Gaming Performance 9/10Premium Feel 10/10Recommend it to my friends and family 10/10The only con I found so far is that fingerprints stay marked everywhere all over the laptop.

I bought the 4K OLED Touch Screen version and I'm delighted. It's HDR compliant and has Dolby Atmos and 4k films render and play back beautifully. For gaming, the real time race tracing is superb (try it with Metro Exodus). The fans aren't too loud but suggest gaming headphones anyway for complete immersion.Overall, if you can justify the expense (you can) you'll be delighted.

4.2.2020

Absolutely crazy how powerful this is. It exceeds every expectation and works so well with chroma integration with other razer devices. Its astonishing the performance it produced both gaming and word processing for work and University work.Overall the best laptop and computer i have ever had. This replaced by laptop and my desktop and It's the best buy ever.

20.2.2020

It's a very good laptop with great specs and amazing build quality. It just feels very nice to use overall and the clean design is quite visually pleasing. No gaming aesthetics is a huge plus, though I wish the logo on the back wasn't recessed, it makes getting clean logo-less skins impossible.

1.5.2020

Wonderful laptop, meets my needs for gaming and general use. With the £450 discount it's actually value for money which is rare in a Razer product.

30.6.2020

Perfect for gaming runs everything without any issues after I updated my drivers. Battery life suffers but nothing serious. Thanks!
