I bought these biscuits to try for my 18 year old cat who was diagnosed with kidney disease in September last year. Since then I have worked my way through the range of wet renal cat food that Hill Science, Royal Canin and Purina offer and although my cat would initially eat these quite happily, within a few weeks he would grow bored of it and refuse to eat it. My vet then suggested trying him on a dry food diet and so I switched him to the Hill Science kidney biscuits. Again, everything was fine for a few weeks and then he grew bored of that, so after doing a search I found that Purina also do kidney biscuits so decided to give them a try.My cat has been on them for little over a week now and at the moment he does seem to be enjoying them.

UPDATE: I've stopped feeding my cat this after a few weeks because he's been having continuing trouble with very soft stools, which is never good. So that's something to look out for if you try this food. Obviously it won't affect every cat like mine is, and you won't know without trying it first. I shouldn't have bought such a big pack in retrospect. A few days after stopping and he's back to normal in that department!ORIGINAL REVIEW: So far so good with this. I've been introducing it gradually into my 17 year-old's diet and he seems tolerant to it now after few days of rather 'liquid' trips to the litter tray. So you should perhaps introduce this in increasing quantities over at least a couple of weeks.

My cat eats it, he does tend to prefer biscuits to wet food.He's generally a fussy furry that likes to watch me despair at the volume of specialist, costly food he turns his nose up at and that goes to waste.These he does eat happily enough though.Despite trying to learn as much as possible about his kidney condition I'm left confused with what he needs. Obviously the low phosphorus content but I worry about the lower protein. His muscles are wasting and he was already slight to start with, the thyroid issues play their part.However, he has been more spritely, less sickly and generally annoying since his diet changes so he's clearly feeling better.

I ordered this as my cat was diagnosed with Kidney failure, after trying another brand recommended by the vets which she ate at the start then went off it I ordered this, great price and next day delivery with Prime, my cat ate it for a couple of weeks but went off her food again unfortunately resulting in us having to let her go she was just too ill and the kidney failure was too far advanced. Imsure this food world work on other cats just not for mine. Now I'll be donating it and the other brand to the animal sanctuary to see if they can put it to use.

My elderly cat had some Renal issues and I was advised to put him on a Renal Diet. He is a fussy cat and my vet gave me a list of diets for him to try. Purina Pro Plan was on the list and I am pleased to say that he ate the food with no problems. My other elderly cat, without any Renal issues, also ate the diet. It is a good quality diet and great value compared to other Renal veterinary diets. More importantly the cats enjoyed it!

My elderly cat has kidney issues so I can only give him renal food. This 5kilo bag seemed like the logical option after my vet prescribed it.Has a weird scent when kitty boots chows down (not quite fish?) and I don't think he likes it as much as what I used to give him so I may search for other alternatives after consulting with vet as he seems to just let the biscuits drop from his mouth more?

Our cat likes it and it made a massive improvement to his health and well-being. We switched to this after he was diagnosed with the early stages of kidney failure. He put on half a kilo within a month of starting on this and seems to be doing well so far.However, I wouldn't buy it from here again unless Amazon drop the price significantly. You can get it much, much cheaper elsewhere.

My cat is an elderly lady and the vet recommended a diet for kidney disease. I was worried because she doesn't like biscuits like like whiskers so I bought this reasonable priced food as a trial. Can't believe it. She loves it so much she had an extra helping !!!!! Sadly it won't be possible to rate the health qualities because she's 18 years so very much the Senior. Highly recommended

I'm so glad that I found this product for my cat who has kidney disease. I was very depressed since he refused to eat any of the Royal Canin products after he was diagnosed in October of 2016. The vet actually asked me if I wanted him put down... which seems outrageous since a year and a half later he's a bouncy, playful boy who eats like a pig. Thank goodness for Purina's Renal food!

My cat loves this food! He is 7 now and the vet suggested we should feed him a renal function diet.The amazing change is the softness of his coat! His coat was always glossy and healthy but was on the harsh side. Not any more. You would think he had been washed in a fabric softener! Fab result.We are into the second bag and will keep going with this feed.

This food is really high quality - a very filling addition to my cat's daily diet. She loves the biscuits and they seem to help keep her condition balanced, alongside her daily medication. This is one of the best prices I have found for this specialised diet food, taking into account free delivery with my amazon prime account.

My cat needs to follow a renal diet for kidney disease. Started her on RC renal pouches. Could hardly get her to eat any. Just received and opened a bag of these and wow her eyes lit up and she’s a cat with a healthy appetite again. So pleased with this product as she’s lost weight and needs to eat. Thoroughly recommend.

Bought this for my 13 year old cat,.shes very fussy and changes her food preference daily.she has kidney disease,so thought I’d try this food. She likes it,has eaten it every day,even sits by the side and waits for it. Generally she seems a bit better, she goes out more. Will buy again.

Our cat loves it, well actually they both eat it but one ate part of a day lily in the garden, almost died and then has to live with the legacy of dodgy kidneys. He looks well on it, arrives quick, competitive with what the VET charges so I recommend this completely

This is the best price on the internet for this product. I bought this for my cat, who was diagnosed with pre-kidney problems. I feed him a renal diet as a preventative measure. He likes the taste of these a lot.
