This poor Ragdoll was having loose bowels (pancake-like) for over a year. He has a great appetite and he is a great eater. After a few visits to the vet, antibiotics, Pro-Kolin and after trying multiple cat foods (Royal Canin Gastrointestinal, Pro Plan, Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets EN Gastrointestinal, Royal Canin Sensible 33 Adult, Hill's Science Plan Adult Chicken and Felix Mixed Selection pouches) nothing seems to help and some even made him worse. I did more research and came across one article online about food intolerance and food allergies in cats and I soon realised that all of the food that this poor cat has been eating all have one thing in common, poultry. So I bought PRO PLAN Veterinary Diets Feline HA Hypoallergenic from Amazon at a fantastic price and after he was on it for just ten days, something amazing happened, he finally was normal like the other cats and now had normal shaped stool like what it supposed to be. The house no longer smells and I don’t need run after him with wet wipes or rush to his litter box multiple times anymore. He likes the food and it now helps him to have a happy life. The food smells very nice like Horlicks and also tastes like it too (yes, I did try one ?)

I have just changed my rescue cat from normal RCannin dry food ( which his foster carer was feeding him) to this product- just 6 days ago. This was because he was itching his head , being sick nearly every day, had soft stools intermittently and dry skin. Also was a constantly grooming so his belly is bald and was quite lethargic at times- he is an indoor only cat so needs to have the energy ran around!Since he has had this food he has NOT been sick once , the itching had stopped. He has more energy. His stools were a bit soft at first but by the 6th day of having this food they are solid again!I am not constantly cleaning up his sick pools and his constant belly grooming and biting himselfhave virtually stopped. The poor cat had a food allergy and thank God for the internet which has helped me to diagnose this food issue without having to pay expensive vet bills- it is early days but so far so good!.I will keep him on this food only without any treats for another 3 months and if all is still OK then this is his diet for life I am afraid! This food is also fine for long term feeding since it has all of the nutrients a cat requires- and he loves the taste- thank goodness.

This food is a real life saver - literally the only food my IBD kitten can handle without having diarrhoea & so it seems to succeed on the hypoallergenic front. It also smells relatively pleasant compared to other more pungent cat foods. However, I don't know how "tasty" it is, as he frequently pesters me for other food and only eats this as a last resort, which isn't something he did with other cat food (he is ex feral and normally devours all food!). Perhaps the lack of strong smell isn't appealing to cats.I also don't know how thrilled I am with the huge soya content, as I don't see soya forming part of a cat's natural diet, and it also has related problems e.g.with oestrogen levels & hormonal imbalances. Also it has a very low meat content (I think around 4%), which is very low & not really indicative of a quality cat food. That said, it seems to work very well at limiting his diarrhoea, and is also a lot cheaper than other hypoallergenic, hydrolysed foods (e.g. Hills ZD, which costs a fortune and seems to make no difference to his diarrhoea). Overall I'd describe this food as a necessary evil!

Bought for our cat, he had allergies which could've been down to food allergies, this brand was recommended by our vet. Our tabby is quite a picky eater- I was worried he wouldn't take to the new food, especially since he previously ate both a mix of dry and wet food- he was ( admittedly ) very spoilt. But surprisingly, he loved it! Took to this food very well :)Pros:-Great value for money! Worked out cheaper than the food he was eating before- about 40p a day (for our 4kg cat)-Our picky cat ended up loving it! (Although, we could see he missed his wet food. After he was on this hypoallergenic food for a few weeks, we introduced pure, plain chicken to his diet. I monitered his reaction to it,and I can see it didn't cause a worsening of his allergies- as a result, we give him some often)-Hypoallergenic food recommeneded by the vet, seems to work!-Healthier than regular food in any case, as it's a closed formula (unlike most brands)Cons:-Can't think of any! Apart from wanting a hypoallergenic wet food from purina to treat our tabby every once in a while :)

Our cat was diagnosed last year with a flea and/or tick allergy. He was developing crusty sores on his skin, losing patches of fur and over-grooming his tummy. After the vet initially gave us stronger spot-on treatment it appeared to mostly clear up but then it came back this year alongside occasional upset stomach. To avoid further testing we put him on this food exclusively for 4-6 weeks and it seems to have cleared it up almost completely. We will keep feeding for a while longer and if everything looks good then this is the food for him. He’s certainly needed more water since being on dry food only so make sure the water bowl is topped up regularly, and/or mix water into the dry kibble, but needless to say we’re very happy. Now just got to see how subscribe and save works out as I’ve read mixed reviews re pricing and reliability...P.S. he was a little overweight before having this food but due to the ease of portion control is looking much healthier and slimmer!

I initially thought my cat had a flea allergy but after spending hundreds of pounds on decontaminating the house and repeated visits to our useless vet, she was still itching her fur out in chunks and had also started to vomit. In desperation we decided to see if she had developed an intolerance to her food, so we gave this a shot - within a very short period of time her dermatitis stared to subside and her stomach settled, and eventually her fur grew back in absolutely beautiful condition. The kibbles are designed to be easily digested so they are small and light, and they actually smell quite appetising so you won't have to worry about your house smelling like a pet shop!We couldn't be happier and it seems that our cats are pretty happy with it as well, judging by how they jostle each other at feeding time and guzzle their meals down. Now for the caveat: our cats now refuse to eat anything else!

I've clicked on five stars 'I Love It'. The truth is, I've never actually tried eating it personally, but my cat loves it. Just over three years ago it was suspected that he had early stage cancer of the bowels. After various veterinary treatments, it was decided that he doesn't have cancer at this point but inflammatory bowel disease. Now his medication has been reduced to a steroid injection and a Vitamin B12 injection every few weeks. It's been a hard road trying to find something that Alfie can eat regularly and can keep down, or in, both ends. Now Alfie won't eat anything else (except Hill's Prescription Diet Feline t/d Dental Care, which I give him a little of each day, to keep his teeth clean).Purina Pro Plan works. He loves it. I'm glad of it. And my carpets appreciate it too. :D

Spock is feeling much better on this! Will gradually introduce the suspect biscuits to see which ones make him puke!Looks like anything with wheat in and perhaps maize! One month without sickness but as soon as he is back on biscuits he had before, sickness back! ? ?? poor Spock!!!So far found the whiskers dental bites make him eat grass then be sick! So he is now banned from eating those! No more snoring which is surprising! Peacefully sleeping now! ?Hairball came up, so still a bit of sickness but not as much!Other cats having to eat it too! Light biscuits flying everywhere! ?Why one to three months on the second delivery! Waited too long had to cancel and order from local store at a higher price!? maybe there is a shortage due to Brexit as its very hard to get hold of!! ?

My cat was prescribed this diet by her vet when she suffered from itchy scabs all down her spine from head to tail. The vet wasn't sure if it was an extreme reaction to flea saliva or a food allergy, so we tried this food initially for 6 weeks . The food has a single source of protein in an easy to absorb form.Luckily the cat really likes the food so there was no trouble getting her to eat it ! It comes as small round kibbles and looks a bit like Rice Crispies only a little bigger. They must have a good flavour as Emerald eats them willingly and they are light and easy to handle.I have now been told that it is OK to include other foods in her diet but will continue with this one as she likesit so much.It is easy to order through Amazon and have the bag delivered to the door.

I have been using this for nearly 2 months now for my 5 month old kitten. He suffered awful scratching and he would cut his skin open every day to the point we had to keep a cone on him 24/7 for about 10 weeks. The vet did biopsies and we couldnt work out what was causing it. She suggested this food and since he's been on it his cone could come off and his skin has cleared up! At one point his skin looked like elephant skin with hard roles of it. He looks so much healthier and happier now. He eats a lot of it so must really like it. He must be allergic to other cat food. My older cat who is 4 has to have it too to prevent other brands of food being eaten by the kitten and the 3.5kg bag lasts about 3 weeks.Really pleased it worked for him. Just wish I could buy 10-15kg bags.

Been using this 8 weeks now for my Maine Coone cat who takes a severe reaction. He's been fed on normal cat food all his days nearly 5 years and has suffered swollen pads and swollen lips including ulcers. Finally one vet at my surgery decided to put him on Purina Plo Plan Hypoallergenic and within 5 weeks all ulcers and swollen lips have disappeared. He did have two injection as well but they have done their stuff and usually the symptoms return but not this time.On the first day he wasn't interested in what basically looks like rice crispies day two he ate some and now he can't get enough. His coat looks Amazing and he has also put on weight. This food has worked wonders for my cat and it'sactually working out cheaper than the normal brand he used to eat.

I have two Siberian cats and for a very long time I didn't know that one of them had food allergies. It took us over a year with a lot of vet visits to find out that the poor thing was allergic to all other cat food. In the end we were refereed to RVC and they took blood test to see what allergies the cat has. The test was negative so the only option left was to change the food and we were put on PURINA PRO PLAN VETERINARY DIETS Feline HA St/Ox Hypoallergenic Dry Cat Clinical Diet. What a life changer for the cat and us , no more vet visit no more scratching. Now both cats eat this food and the bowl problems and sensitive stomach issues also stopped. Please do not stop stocking this food as I cannot imagine to live without it now.

Merlin loves these cat biscuits, they're smaller than usual cat biscuits and lighter in colour but my cat Merlin is totally content eating them, he loves them and looks forward to meal time.Merlin has had issues in the past with itchiness and baldness, i genuinely believe it was because i was giving him corner shop type bought food, ever since giving him a quality diet like these pro-plan biscuits his fur has grown back on his rump, tummy and back of his legs and is looking better than ever. Not just that but he's way more content and him being happy makes me happy. I have found paying more for quality food not just makes my cat happier and me but is an investment in better, good health.

Brilliant value. These sorted out my cats stomach issues from regular food. Must of been an intollerance, but switching to this food saved me the expense of the vets finding out what they were not agreeing with. My cats were pooing blood with regular food. After a couple of weeks on this and hundreds of pounds worth of medicines at the vets with no answers, this has caused the issue to go away completely. Cats don't need much of this food, so it lasts a long time and gives the cats a lovely weight. I have 3 cats, and 1 bag lasts me a whole month! They cry all the time for this food because they enjoy it so much.

This is a great price for what can be pricy food, but it's a genuine product and there is nothing to worry about. This food was recommended to me by a vet, as my cat had been pulling fur from her tummy and although I was a little sceptical, it seems to be working. A month into the diet and her fur looks better than it was.She took about a week to adapt to this after eating wet food, but she now is fine and it means she grazes her food, rather than gobble it down. I have tried other hypoallergenic foods, but this one has so far been the only one she has been willing to eat long term.
