My cats came from a voluntary branch of Cats Protection (recommended) at the start of the year (2015) and this is the dry food that they were on at the foster carers. I believe they get it in bulk from head office. I had fed my previous cats Royal Canin which is a very good quality food but as the present cats had been through a lot I thought I would stick to the same food as they had been fed to keep change to a minimum. The cats really like this food and they seem to be very healthy. I have had no problems with tummy upsets and as they still use a litter tray I would know if there were any issues!Getting "rescue" cats is very rewarding and my cats are making slow but steady progress in their new rural environment.

Well, I don't love it, my cat does. NEVER buy pedigree animals. My cat (a bengal) has to be the fussiest thing EVER, this is the only dry food he eats and he only eats one type of wet food. He is that daft he will eat freeze dried chicken as a treat at about £4 a tube but sniffs at fresh cooked chicken and turkey......well i say daft, he is not the mug punting out £4 on treats!!UPDATE: as i buy this all the time i have noticed Amazon (or suppliers) have ramped the price up and rarely see it on offer. like today the cheapest is £25 for a 3kg bag, yet all other pet supply sites on web have it at £17.99. yes i know shipping might be included, but as most sites offer free shipping over a certain value i soon go over with litter,

This cat food is good value and one of the best options out of the commercial dry cat food ranges out there. However I would not feed my cat only on this dry food. Cat's are naturally 100% carnivorous and this food is only 21% chicken - the rest made up of cereals, maize and wheat with artificially added vitamins and minerals. I feed my cat about 50/50 these biscuits and raw chicken. These biscuits provide the extra vitamins he needs, but the chickens tops up his protein requirements and it is very visible in the quality of his coat and teeth when he has been eating enough chicken (if we feed him only these biscuits then his coat quickly becomes dull and greasy in comparison).However I do think

EDIT (June 2019): At the current Amazon prices (£25 for 3kgs) there is no value for money choice anymore and it's been a while since we've re-ordered. High street prices are now much cheaper (even Pet's World is around £18 for 3kgs) and if you shop around online, you can get 10kgs for a little over £32.Good product but don't pay unnecessary high prices.Original 5 star review below:_______________________At £14.99 for the 3kg bag, this is about £5-£8 cheaper than high-street prices.If I could, I would buy the 10kg bag as it's even cheaper (per / kg), but it's quite large and storage becomes an issue.Small (approx. 6mm) round(ish) shaped dry food.We feed our cats 3 times per day - Twice with this Pro Plan food (about 15g per serving)

I have quite a fussy year old cat. Turned to this as was fed up with wasting food. My vet recommended it as his cats thrived on it.Brought a bag and I don't think a single little nugget has ever been left. Measure out the daily allowance according to weight but it is hard to stick to this. She just loves it so much.. Her coat is very healthy and as other people say the litter tray does not have that evil smell any more. Everyone comments on how beautiful her coat is and how active she is for a 3 year old. The plus side also is that she drinks a lot with this food which is a very good thing for a cat.

Our 2 moggies love the Pro Plan range of Cat foods.Having bought all the main brands they keep going back to this and it never fails to go down well with them.They have now been eating it exclusively for the past 2 years and their coats and general health are top notch. Amazon prices also take some beating and as usual delivery is always spot on, considering these are 10kg bags the packaging is always good and delivery timely. If your cats are very fluffy I also recommend the Pro Plan Housecat.

My cats can't get enough of this! They have wet food as well as dry, but often leave some of the wet, in order to leave room for the ProPlan with Optirenal. I always make sure that there are a couple of bowls of this food down, especially at night, as it is always gone by the morning! I try to vary it with other dried foods, which are eventually eaten, but only after the ProPlan Optirenal bowl has been emptied. I hope they never stop making this, because I don't know what I would buy instead...

I started feeding this food to my cat several weeks ago, she is normally very fussy and particular about eating dry food but she absolutely loved the taste of this stuff and always clears her bowl. Since using it, her breath smells better and I think she now seems a bit more active than she was, which I can only put down to the nutrients-rich, high-quality food. I'm very glad I tried this stuff and I will continue to use it, as I really feel my girl is seeing the benefits to it.

Proplan Chicken and Rice is the only food which my fussy cats have stuck with for any length of time, and are still enjoying, hence 5stars from them for the product. Definitely another 5stars from me for the delivery. DPD kept me continuously informed on the whereabouts of the package, even to texting the exact hour it would be delivered and the driver's name, AND, as it was quite heavy he carried it in for me.I was very impressed with their service.

This is not the cheapest food available but it suits my cats really well. One, who had a significant weight problem, has slimmed down beautifully on this food even though she has constant access to it. The other two, who were so fussy on tinned food and other dry food, have stopped fussing and just eat this every day. They don't seem to get tired of it although I have to admit that they do top it up by catching mice outside.

I was recommended by the Vet to buy some dry food for my cat, as he by choice only likes to eat cooked chicken and was missing out on some vitamins and minerals contained in dry food.I started giving him small helpings of Pro Plan and he loved it and he now has both dry and wet food.Pro Plan was the product reommended by the Vet and my neighbours who both have new rescue cats and I am delighted with the product.

**PROTIP - Always make sure you have a good source of water when feeding dry cat food**My cats told me that this cat food is the best they have ever tasted and that they would disown me if I changed to a different one... and as they say cats know best.From an owners perspective, it seems expensive, but if you actually work out the cost per day vs other methods of feeding then it really is quite reasonable.

Our cat was on this when we got him from Cat's Protection, 2 more cat's later and they all seem to enjoy eating this, They're happy and healthy and seem to get along well with this food. I also own a cattery and use this for cat's in there too I've never had a cat turn there nose up at this food. I buy the 10KG bag as it works out cheaper for me and with my 3 cats it last's approx. 6 weeks.

My Cats love Pro Plan and it has vitamins in it so good for them too. This is a good price, a lot cheaper than the Pet Shop I used to buy it from, who ordered it in especially for me as they don't supply to all Pet Shops.This is the second time I have used this seller, who are very quick with delivery, overall very pleased. I will continue to order from this seller.

I have four gluten-free cats so go through quite a bit of this. Having tried other gluten-free stuff, Gareth and Wil showed signs of having eaten gluten - they started to bloat, began losing the skin on their inside flanks and itched like mad. All three are very very happy on the chicken (and the salmon) - excellent product - keeps them healthy.
