My Dremel became useless due to the bad design of the shaft locking pin. I did have the Proxon power source so I bough their rotary tool. So far I like it a lot. Lighter and smaller than the Dremel, does not need a tool to tighten the nut-just finger tight. Much more torque, does not sound like slowing down in use. Two things I did not like: Not possible to fit a chuck on this version and the smallest collet does not seem to hold very small drills well, however non of these is that important. Overall for modelling is a really good option.

This is a very good little 12volt drill which i am well pleased with, it is an ideal replacement for the Minicraft drill along with their 12 volt transformer, i make a lot of models and this little drill fits the bill well for what i need to do

This is a great product. It even stands quite a bit of abuse. I ought to know as I give it to students to use!
