Having changed the brushes on my "Chinese cheapy" (which appears to be the standard clone mini-drill grinder most suppliers are badging up), and juggled it like a red hot coal during a long session one time too many, I decided to replace it. Having bought another Proxxon product which was really good, I took the plunge on this.I'm really delighted. Comes in posh box, solidly engineered, very good quality. Separation of power supply makes in very light, and far more easy to use generally, and particularly good for detail. Didn't heat up significantly (tool or PSU), or fade through overheating over a very long, demanding first session. Good torque for a small machine. Speed control easy to use and keeps to set speed.

Sturdy, well built, nice coiled flex and so far I am enjoying using this, over my dremmel 3000 , which is alot bigger. The only down sides, for me, are the drill chuck jaws only go down to 0.3mm, which means my using an Expo 128-20 Micro chuckadapter to drill with my 0.2 mm Heller drills. Also this version came fitted with the German 2 pin mains plug, which again required an adapter.

This slimline 12v device is very easy to use offering a good range of speed and sitting very easily in the fingures for fine work.

Well engineered and comfortable to use. Excellent piece of kit, difficult to imagine anything better in it's field.
