This Philips Dictation Recorder is simple to use a) for dictation, and b) with a transcriber to playback the Mini-Cassette tape, it is easy for a PA to type both letters and professional documents. My previous one lasted about ten years before 'wear and tear' suddenly made it stop functioning. Strongly recommended.

I have used the 488 (Professional) model for years and have no complaints. I have gone through two 488 models in 15 years, and I thought I would try this model. So far, there is no obvious difference and the product is working well. It is made in Hungary, and the materials and workmanship seem to be very good.

I have used these pocket memo recorders for years and I love them except that I wish they would have a louder warning signal when the tape has run out. Also it is very difficult to find good 60 min tapes for them now.

Have had this for years and it does what it says in the tin, no hassle dicta phone for my notes. Life is easy. Don't need to go looking for one when I am doing my notes now.

These machines, whilst some may now consider "low tech" really do work and as an Estate Agent they really do get used and abused and they seem to last forever.

All as expected. Still working fine after a couple of months. Remember to click the lock button when not in use to avoid inadvertent battery drain.

This arrived without extras that appeared to be offered in the advert. The sellers were really helpful and the machine is excellent.

A replacement for a tried and tested system which has the benefit of not being off when the IT system goes down.
