I had this dictaphone before so i knew it was a good product before i bought it, unfortunately i lost it before the start of my third year of university so i had to get a new one.I was a little bit skeptical to buy this because it was so much cheaper than the Olympus website, i mean MUCH cheaper, also reviews saying they received their opened but i went ahead and bought it anyway.I love it. It came brand new with all the stuff, including case and strap (plus the chargers and headphones. It works wonderfully and having used this exact product all through university it is definitely something that will last and work well for university lectures.The charge lasts quite a long time and it has a LOT of storage space on it for a lot of files.When you transfer them on to the computer,

This is exactly what I have been wanting for so long for a digital recorder. I am so happy with the quality of the unit and most especially of the recording. It is really very sensitive though so handling the unit while recording must be kept to a pinpoint minimum. A slight nudge or a simple scrunch on the case is captured by the mircophone. This gadget is so cool haha. How I wish I had this during college. I could have used this in so many ways at school haha.I love how it comes with 2 AAA olympus batteries and its own leather case and strap. Great recharging feature once plugged via usb port. Let me save more instead of buying a separate charger. All in all I saved at least £30 for this purchase.

I bought this voice recorder with the Olympus ME34 Compact Zoom Microphone to record lectures in a relatively small room filled with about 20 people. The recordings are very clear and far better than any other voice recordings I have encountered during my course! I was particularly impressed that one can set the recording angle in order to pick up what is said at the front of the room rather than from all over the room. I also used it to record while playing the ukulele with a really nice sounding result. Would definitely recommend this item! I am planning to record my hypnotherapy cd with it and am sure I won't be disappointed! The menu is a bit fiddly,

I got this dictaphone for University, I found myself unable to keep pace with the lecturer at times and missing out parts of the lecture. This handy dictaphone combined with an Olympus microphone solved that problem once and for all. I was finally able to go through the lectures at home in my own pace, not only that the combination flow effortlessly into Dragon Speaking, so it actually wrote my notes up for me!!I am sure there must be hundreds of different uses for this dictaphone, however for my purposes it was perfect!

Olympus DM-670 is not new to me: this one was a replacement. After my loss, I did buy a newer model, but the newer one was in many ways a cut-down version of the DM-670. I needed the podcasts, and the Repeat facility of the 670, and I wanted the facility to use it as a PC device, to name three things. Oh yes, and the ability to manually adjust the record volume.So, I replaced the lost DM-670 with the same model, and would do so again if need be.

I have this baby for long time. It records superbly if you put a little effort to learn how to use it.Software for PC is not so good therefore 4 stars.Playback on decent earphones is top notch. I am using it when i walk my dog on a daily basis and there is no mobile phone that cam match it.So to potential buyer:Record: Top notchPlayback: Top notchSoftware for PC : could be much better

Wish I had bought it long ago.With Sonotity and Dragon Naturally Speaking it has become a new way of getting words onto paper.Also, the music quality comes close to what i used to get from my iPod Classic and with good amplification is very acceptable, especially as the iPod is now out of fashion and discontinued.When Olympus upgrade I shall be first in the queue.

The box was not perfect but the product was very good (nothing was missing). And you are not going to find this product cheaper....(I have checked it, for example in the amazon from Spain it will have costed me around 190 €...I am grateful... Thanks.

Very good. I used a cheaper version of olympus recorder before, but this one is much better quality sound. Very pleased with this, would recommend.

Excellent recordings ,manual control allows for optimum recording conditions .Purchased for recording guitar .Very pleased with results.
