I bought the allreli USB sound recorder and it seems to work well. I went through the clock set-up procedure which is optional. If you don't do it the sound files will have the wrong date but the recordings should still come out fine.Details:The allreli USB mono sound recorder CP00341 has a built-in clock so it can give your recording files the correct time and date. For this to work the clock needs setting, and there is a program called SetTime supplied on the USB drive to do this. It reads the time from your computer clock and gives it to the USB stick so then it is set up and ready to go.To do this you need to plug the USB recorder into a Windows computer (not Mac),

I have purchased two allreli recorders. They come well packaged, with an instruction leaflet and are easy to use.On receipt of the recorder, plug it into a USB port on a laptop for an hour or so and it will be fully charged.Ensure the recorder is switched to OFF before charging. A red light will come on to show the recorder is charging and the light will turn blue when fully charged.Recording couldn't be easier, simply switch the button to ON. The red light will flash for a couple of seconds then it goes off.The quality of recording is pretty good but it will pick up background noise too.To listen to your recordings,

Bought this recorder and when you put in your computer and open the folder there are three folders - time set for windows, one for apple and the recording folder itself.There are conflicting reviews as to whether this is voice activated or not - IT IS! ….BUT... when I first tried it with a break inbetween sound (manual in broken English states it will auto stop recording of sound goes below 30 decibels..) ..the second batch of sound had not been recorded, almost as though the auto shut off worked when I went quiet but then shut it down completely and didn't restart when sound went up again over 30 decibels.Then I read a review instructing you to format the drive when attached to computer - you lose the time setting folders (unless you save beforehand)

This was bought to replace an old, similar style recorder that got lost, and then a replacement one that was unfit for purpose. With this one I've found exactly what I need: simple to operate and discrete to use. As a lay-preacher I record my own sermons so that I can self-check them afterwards. (I can discover my short-comings in private!) This is small enough to sit on a church lectern or pulpit top without being visible to all. The quality of recorded sound is clear and loud enough. My first attempt to replace my lost recorder came from a different manufacturer and left me with frequent skips in the recording and sudden loud intrusive noises. This one seems perfect. I recommend it.

Brilliant piece of equipment. As a non technical person I found this so easy to use and the sound quality is very very good - to my ear any way. The communication with Cheerivo has also been first class. Thank you to you all.The stick is very easy to use, and the recording of a very good quality. The people who used the recording I made a re blind so they listen very carefull to the quality of the words - and it they who also said how professional the sound quality was on the recording. Love the extra touch of the little attachment to carry the stick and the fact that the box has a seperate little compartment just for the attachment - shows quality and care.

This has been a reliable piece of kit and is easy to use. Very discreet, easy to wrap some tape around it and make it even more covert (just remember to leave the mic. hole exposed). With regard to sound quality, I wish there was some way to adjust the sensitivity of the microphone because it is very sensitive. It's good for picking up distant vocals and doesn't pickup too much atmospheric noise, however, if vocals come too close it distorts. I've been trying to play around with using some material over the mic hole to try and surpress the sensitivity.Ultimately, this is best used for picking up audio at about 3m+.

I bought this product recently and was and was impressed by the clarity and how easy it is to use. However, I was disappointed with the battery time. The product advertised to last 10-13 hours on a continuous charge, when it actually only lasts for 1 hour. I had bought this product for the purpose of long continuous recording and was left feeling deflated when I realized it hadn't recorded all my work. At first I thought maybe I hadn't gave it enough charge time as suggested 2-3 hours charge, but after charging various times and hours, it still failed to record continuously on full charge for more than an hour.

Works fine. Recording quality not brilliant but good for its price. Works with latest Mac O/S updates and contrary to what is said in other reviews there is no need to download additional software to play recordings. Recordings are stored in WAV format and can easily be opened using 'OPEN WITH' and selecting Quick Time from the option list. I haven't tried but I assume you can then save to your Mac in a more convenient format. Can't comment on the longevity of the device but consider the 18 month guarantee a bit of a waste of time as for the price it's hardly worth the hassle of returning.

Quality of recordings is good. Even when In a pocket it records clearly (as long as you keep movement to a minimum to reduce inevitable noise from 'fabric'. )On off switch is a tad too flat and the embossed on/off markings are not easily read - bit of a nuisance rather than a problem.Main reason for losing a star- not clear to know how much power remains in the battery. Also, not clear how much memory remains when in use. Finally, whilst you can transfer recordings to an iMac, the advertised problems with date stamping are an additional nuisance. However, for the price, it's worth 4*.

Felt rather risky to buy this based on some reviews here, but maybe I got one of the good ones. The sound quality is really clear and could record everything in a medium sized room when the recorder was in my jeans pocket.Took a while to light up at first when plugged into my laptop, and I thought maybe it wasn't working. But I could later see it had lit up (maybe it doesn't come charged). Henceforth it worked without any delay.I will post an update if the good functioning does not continue for any reason.

I wanted to be able to record some technical conversations as my own memory not so good! This did the job pretty well. There is some background noise but it was ok for what I needed.This is actually a replacement as the first one I bought would not record audio, although worked ok as a standard storage device. However, the customer service was excellent and, after checking I was using it correctly, a replacement device was sent out immediately. This one worked as expected so I'm happy.

I noticed something with the recorder which wasn’t so when I first started using it. Before ,if I on it it records whether there is sound or not but after a view weeks, it started recording only sounds, if I on it and there is no sound, when I listen to it, I will find out it delete the part where there was no sound, it gives me only sounds and leaves the moment of silence which I don’t really like cos I always feel it must have deleted some important info.

Very reliable product working as intended. As advertised - the recorder is small and distinguish itself as an USB drive so no one would be any wiser if you decided to record the conversation (be mindful of the lights when switching it on though). I have used it few times at work and was happy with result - clear voice recording, plenty battery life - what else to expect...good recording product which can also act...no surprise here - as USB!

Good, reliable product. Received promptly, exactly as described. This is my second. I bought another because my first got put through the washing machine and unsurprisingly stopped working. I dried it out carefully at room temperature to see if I could at least use it as USB storage and was very surprised to find it regained full functionality after a fortnight. So now I have two! I wouldn't recommend washing yours, though.

Having only just received this item and only used it twice I cannot comment on battery life, long term durability etc. It has worked well on the occasions that I have used it and so I can recommend it to others.Very easy to use too, just plug into your PC/Laptop and easy to follow instructions are accessed.Whether used for business or socially there are endless possibilities - so, buy one and check it out for yourselves.
