I like the Hue products (albeit a tad pricey) and this full suspension light is no exception, having fitted this as the main ceiling light in our living room. It's very well made, in a quality finish, with frosted glass top and bottom cover. Its quite a heavy item and you'll need another pair of hands to support while wiring it in place, but once fitted and integrated to your existing Hue lighting, it works great. Exceptional light output on full white and a nice range for full dimming too.The main light is suspended from the ceiling rose by three fine steel cables and these are pretty long, maybe 4ft or so, but the rose uses a clever arrangement to alter and secure the cables,

I recently installed a full Philips Hue system into my new house. I decided to splash out on the Master Bedroom and buy this light fitting to compliment our decor.First off: This fitting is BIG. It's VERY well constructed and VERY heavy.The body of the light is a ring of painted stainless steel inside which sits the LED ring and control hardware. The ring contains a thread in the center into which a large screw is placed, which holds the bottom glass section on. This is real glass and it's very nicely frosted.The Rose of the fitting contains a very clever system for adjusting the wires that hold the fitting up. You just unscrew the clasps and slide the cables to the desired length - no messy cutting.

As headline make sure you get the steel suspension wires set to just around the length you require in the install because trying to do them in situ will be a nightmare if you have too much slack in them. Thats the best method we found otherwise you run the risk of tangling the steel wires up and they can fray super easy or knot up.other than that its a breeze but will require two people unless you decide to remove the frame but in either case two people should make it 100% easier.Some things to note - We installed the light with the plastic wrap still in situ which keeps the frosted glass finish finger print free. But be wary when you do remove the wrap the frame isn't held together until you install the bottom glass and its retaining screw mount.

I have this light fitted in my kitchen/dining room. Over our dining room table. The light looks really good and it is integrated into my HUE system. Light goes very bright. The 3 bits of wire that hold up the light are extremely long they have a good mechanism for shortening the wires however when you shorten the wires they get a twist in them so when you apply load to hold the lights up it can damage the wires. The light is also heavy and I would recommend using some very strong plaster board fixings to hold it up.

Brought this item to go with the rest of the hue system I have...unfortunately was thinking of selling my house so didn't fit for about 4 months.When I checked the box one of the glass fittings was smashed - managed to salvage some of the light and put it up.Great to have a remote so there isn't a need to get out of bed to turn off or down the light .The wire is a bit fiddly to change amount it drops down but worth the effort as looks very stylish

Very well thought out product, you definitely get what you pay for. Installation was very straightforward and the unit oozes quality, to the extent where I was surprised and smiled whilst fitting. Coupled with Alexa, it's brilliant and a joy to look at even when switched off. Can't recommend enough.

The mechanism for lengthening the wires is very smart, but was rendered almost impossible by kinks in the wires- very frustrating to install. The light more than makes up for that in terms of brightness, colour options and quality. The room mine is in is 4x5m and one light is perfect.

Solid lights, they look great once fitted. Be careful not to damage the hanging cables when fitting as if they get kinked they are fragile and will fray.Make sure you have someone to hand to help you and keep a close eye on the cables and tension and you will be fine!

Bought for our dining room - excellent quality comes with dimmer switch - light is fantastic. Works well with alexa for hands free control
