With these expensive Philips bulbs, you first have to discover that there are two types of Hue white bulb: The plain "White" bulbs (these ones) and the "White Ambience" bulbs (haven't tried those yet). These plain white bulbs claim to have a colour temperature of 2700K and a brightness of 300 lumens, but in practice I would say that they are quite a lot cooler than the "warm" white temperature would have you believe. Also the brightness seems more like 500+ lumens - they are very bright indeed, perfect for spot lamps. Used with the Philips Hue Bridge and Amazon Alexa (which was a breeze to set up), the range of dimming isn't great as you can't get them to go very low,

They are perfect for my needs, they were very simple to install and then to add them to my house by using the house. Having them allowed me to convert a room from one switch turns everything in to a multi-zone room as I needed.I have also programmed them according my needs and they are fantastic!From time to time they respond slower than expected and also as an opportunity for improvement I would like to have a way to know if someone has turned them off manually. If they are turned off manually you can not work remotely with them.

Bought for a bathroom project and a good size bulb that is directly compatible with most GU10 spots.Really nice in the bathroom as we can now have a nice pre-progammed night setting to just have one bulb on dim at night.As with each generation of Hue bulbs, they are brighter and more energy efficient than the last ones I bought.The only thing to watch is that these are WARM LIGHT ONLY. IF you want to be able to tweak the ambience then you need the more expensive ambience version.

I absolutely love Philips Hue lights. I'm slowly adding more and more to my collection around the house. These were purchased to use in a bathroom and are very bright when on full power yet can be dimmed easily. I'd like to make all of my bulbs white ambient or colour ones however the price is very expensive so only adding the occasional coloured ones.

Tried buying some of the 'cheaper' alternatives, but the bottom line is that the Philips Hue bulbs are just much better quality (both in construction and actual light). Now that the cheaper 'white ones' are available it is really worth the small extra investment.Very happy

I tried using an Innr bulb initially but was experiencing issues with it not always coming on or going off using the Hue motion sensor. Since switching to the Hue bulb it has worked perfectly. Worth the extra if you plan on using a motion sensor.

I bought these to use in outside lights either side of my door. They are set using the IFTTT app so that when motion is triggered by the ring doorbell they come on lighting up my porch area.Hue app is not fun though :( therefore 4 stars

I have these installed in the back room. Now I just keep the light switch turned on and instruct alexa to turn them on and off. I also bough the wireless controller which works a treat. Love these HUE lights.

The hue spots are a little more expensive then most, but are very reliable in operation, give a very bright light with a consistent colour and very easy to install and add to the Hue hub, & Amazon Alexa.

Fantastic and incredibly convenient when paired with google assistant or equivalent.My only complaint is they don't dim as much as the coloured bulbs do, but that's not a major problem.

You can dim them when you’re about to make your move. Simply by shouting out ‘hey siri, dim bedroom light one. Hey Siri, dim bedroom light two’. And then I’m ready to make sweet love

Love the Phillips Hue range. Just plug the lights in, turn on the switch and search for them in the Hue app to install and off you go - easy as that. Very bright at 100%

Very bright, brighter than the ambiance equivalent, that’s why I picked them. These were used for our Kitchen, plus saving energy now. :) Philips make quality products.

These builds are another great product from Philips. Easy to instal and work brilliantly. Expensive but unlike the Chinese versions you are paying for a trusted brand.

Love Philips hue and these are just as easy to install and activate instantly. The light is warm and can't be changed much but for the price they are great.
