I moved to this from a Nikon d3200. I had considered upgrading to a d5500/5600 or d7200 but realised I'd get less camera for more money. I needed to upgrade from a Pentax K20D and this was on a super duper deal on Black Friday. However I did a quick check online and the reviews were singing its praises. I have been using it for a few weeks now and it's a superb camera which will help enhance your photography. The controls are easy to use and auto is a dream however it's got many other easy to use functions. The extra bonus being that it will take old Pentax film lenses quite easily just alter a menu setting and you are good to go. I can highly recommend it.I bought the body at a discount and lo and behold I was able to get a Pentax 50mm lens for free I guess Christmas did come early for me.Having had this camera for the past 6 months I am amazed at the picture quality especially in low light.

I bought the K-70 after first buying the Pentax DSLR K-S2 the K-70 is in my opinion at least twice as good. The K-70 is based on the older model and has the weatherproofing and a slightly better stabilisation system plus new pixel-shift. I have found focusing better with the K-70 plus the Wi-Fi helps plus the swing-out monitor and red glow monitor for keeping night-sight when using in low-light conditions. I am currently saving for a second K-70 and will trade in my K-S2

I upgraded from the Pentax KX, and it was quite a jump in quality. The screen is a real stand out as it is articulated, something I didn't think I needed, also the resolution is much better. I bought the body on its own, and threw on some of my old lenses, now I have ordered a Pentax 16-85mm lens to match the waterproofing of the K-70. It is really great value for money, especially if you are into landscape photography.

Not used all the features yet but I am happy with the picture quality, had no problems with the auto focus, it seems to pick up on what I would want it to and fast enough for my needs. Screen works fine.

This was a gift for my daughter, who is a keen traveller and wishes to use a 'real' camera for all her destinations.Suffice to say she was very pleased since it was a special birthday!

Excellent camera. HDR setting is incredible. Great value. As an upgrade from my old canon 400 I couldn’t ask for more. Now to spend time learning what it can do

a step up from my last camera and this is a great camera, you can see clearly the pictures you take and easy to download to computer

Have enjoyed using this so far - auto settings ideal, am sure I will use more as I get more confident with manual settings

Not quite up to K3 standard, but good camera. Smaller battery than K3 so less shots, but good quality images
